Lucia’s shoulder slumped and made herself smaller. She walked slightly behind Gastone in sha. She couldn’t help but feel angry at how Gastone ignored her feelings.
"We’re here. Let’s go," Gastone stated innocently and gestured for Lucia to follow. It was an underwear store.
Lucia’s face lit up like a tomato. She didn’t care about buying undergarnts before, but Gastone was a man, and it was her first ti going shopping with one.
"Wa-wait... You don’t have to!" Lucia called, but Gastone ignored her and went straight to the nearest section.
Gastone found it normal to shop those things for his mate. He even wanted to choose a couple sets that suited her best.
"Lucia, do you like this one?" Gastone asked and showed a cotton panties, but Lucia snatched them from his hand.
"Please get out. I want to shop alone," Lucia whispered sternly. She turned around and went to the next counter with displayed underwear. She lowered her hood in sha to avoid interacting with the other custors.
On the other hand, Gastone was confused since he had done nothing wrong but spoil Lucia, and her attitude irritated him.
Gastone walked toward Lucia and yanked her arm to face him. "What is your problem? I am here to support you, yet you’re ungrateful for what I’ve done!" he exclaid with burning eyes.
Lucia was shocked and flinched back in defence. She looked at Gastone as if he had lost his mind for touching her aggressively.
"What the hell are you doing!?" Lucia exclaid and shrugged Gastone’s shoulders, but his hands wouldn’t bulge.
"Listen to !" Gastone raised his voice since he couldn’t control Lucia.
At that mont, the custors looked at them and beca curious about what they were arguing about.
"No!" Lucia shouted and pushed Gastone away, but his size made it hard for her. That drove her to attempt another plan.
"Lucia! Calm down, why are you overreacting!?" Gastone frowned and looked at the people around him. They started gossiping while looking at them with judging eyes.
"Leave alone!" Lucia shouted and kicked Gastone’s shin bone.
Gastone felt extre pain jolted on his lower leg. That caused him to loosen his hold on Lucia.
That little gap was taken advantage of, and Lucia used the opportunity to get away from Gastone and escape, but two steps outside the store, she was tackled by two huge n who were guards.
The store owner went outside and seized the underwear Lucia accidentally brought with her. "That’s a thief! Arrest her!" he shouted.
Lucia was pulled by the two n on both arms to prevent her from escaping. She trembled in fear and looked at the underwear the store owner was holding. It was the sa one that she snatched from Gastone.
Gastone followed behind with a pained foot. His eyes gazed at how the two n held Lucia, which was enough to aggravate him. He went straight to Lucia and punched the n to release her.
"G-gastone..." Lucia muttered as tears swelled in her eyes. Her feet moved independently, and she clung to Gastone for safety. She didn’t know why, but she wanted him to protect her at that mont.
"Don’t harm her!" Gastone shouted and bared his fangs while keeping Lucia’s head down to prevent her from seeing everything.
"Oh my! You’re an accomplice!" the store owner shouted, which attracted other people nearby.
"No! This is a misunderstanding. We’re not stealing but buying!" Gastone stated sternly and covered Lucia with his cloak.
"Ah! Insolence! They all say that!" the store owner shouted.
It didn’t take long before several knights arrived at the scene to capture them.
"Knights! These two tried to steal from ! Arrest them imdiately!" the store owner showed the underwear to the public, which had gotten a terrible reaction from the crowd.
"Is this true?" the Knight asked, turning to Gastone for an answer.
Gastone pursed his lips. He dreaded being involved with knights since they knew him as a Prince.
"No, it’s a misunderstanding. We ca here to shop, and I can pay for that underwear if that’s enough to satisfy you," Gastone stated and took out his pouch. He just wanted to get away as fast as possible.
"Well, that’s a better way to resolve things," the Knight replied and was about to go when the store owner stopped them.
"Why are you letting them go!? Can’t you see they look suspicious!? I don’t want them to destroy this town!" the store owner shouted and knelt on the ground while clinging onto the Knight’s pants to prevent them from leaving.
"We ant no harm. We are here to buy necessities!" Gastone replied sternly to the accusations. He disliked how his plan to pamper Lucia was destroyed.
The knights sighed and glanced at Gastone’s hood covering his face. "Show us your faces," he stated and crossed his arms.
Gastone flinched and looked down at Lucia, who kept her head down. Before he spoke, Jorge, their Knight, appeared from the back.
"Co here," Jorge stated, showing his Knight badge and dragging the other Knight to converse.
The store owner was confused but kept glaring at Gastone.
"A-are we going to jail?" Lucia whispered and trembled in fear. She realized her actions caused great unfortunate for them and made her feel guilty.
"No, I won’t let that happen," Gastone replied confidently. He was willing to risk exposing his identity even if it would destroy his last remaining good image to the public.
Lucia’s eyes widened after hearing Gastone’s words. She felt ardour that soone would go to that extent to save her. Although Gastone already saved her one ti, doing it again made her feel secure.
Jorge finished talking to the Knight and handed him a few gold coins secretly. They went back to face the store owner and Gastone.
"Co with us," the Knight stated toward Gastone and gestured for him to follow.
Gastone glanced at Jorge since he was hesitant to follow, but Jorge gave him a thumbs-up before following the Knight.
"Yes! Arrest them! They deserve to be in jail!" the store owner shouted joyfully as if he had done sothing significant.
