Idola carefully pierced the strawberry using the fork and put it over her mouth. She was careful not to make any sound since she didn’t want to disrupt Felissa’s peace.
"I’ve been bored lately. Do you have anything to share?" Felissa asked and pouted, playing with the pancake.
"What do you like to hear, my Lady?" Idola asked to know what topic to talk about.
"Ah, well, anything interesting," Felissa replied with a shrug. She acted as if she didn’t care, but deep inside, she wanted to know if sothing odd had happened inside the Palace.
"Hmm," Idola humd and thought about anything interesting to share. "Ah, I have sothing!" she exclaid.
"Ooh, what is it?" Felissa leaned forward with a smile to show she was looking forward to it.
"Sothing happened last night. I don’t know the full details, but the knights saw several dead animals in the forest area. Their bellies are ripped open, and it seems like their at is eaten. The knights reported the incident to the Monarch, but it seems like it’s deed as an animal attack," Idola explained while trying to rember the gossip lurking around.
"Hah, maybe a wild animal went inside the Palace grounds?" Felissa stated to give out her opinion.
"Yes, but it’s rare for that to happen since the security was tight to prevent any incident from happening," Idola added with a shrug. For her, it was nothing since the animals tend to attack and feed on one another for survival.
"What do the Monarchs say about it?" Felissa asked further, trying to have Idola give more information.
"Ah, they tightened the security since it’s dangerous if any of the guests will be attacked by the animal," Idola stated without care.
"For sure, the wolves will take care of it if they et the creature," Felissa replied while nodding her head, acting as if it was only a tiny piece of news.
But when Felissa grabbed the fork, she noticed her hand was trembling. She imdiately put the fork down to prevent Idola from seeing it.
"Of course!" Idola chirped in agreent, and the two of them beca silent.
’So I ate so small, wild animals,’ Felissa thought and gripped into her clothes fabric. She didn’t want to cause trouble, especially in the event that Rosina held.
"Idola, what is the event for today?" Felissa asked to divert the attention away from the previous topic.
"Oh, there’s nothing major today, my Lady. The event’s second day is supposed to be the guests’ day to do what they want. After all, so guests find their true mates and have been doing dates," Idola giggled in excitent. Her eyes twinkled at the mory of seeing couples getting shy at each other.
"I see. They must feel excited and giddy about this," Felissa couldn’t help but smile. She was happy to hear that so could find their true mate without barriers or problems.
That thought burnt a fit of jealousy into Felissa’s heart. She wanted that kind of freedom without restriction.
"My Lady, are you okay?" Idola asked in concern when she saw Felissa’s facial expression that showed jealousy.
"Ah, yes. I’m fine," Felissa replied with a smile before taking a bite of the banana. She sighed deeply before finishing her cold food, but she didn’t care.
"My Lady, if you don’t mind asking. I heard Lord Fabio states that you are his mate," Idola gushed over since Fabio was a noble of a high-ranking pack.
"Ah, who knows? I need to consult the Queen first," Felissa replied. She should feel happy that soone had claid her, but she couldn’t understand her feelings.
"Okay, my Lady. Then can I share so information with you?" Idola whispered and looked around, ensuring no one could eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Sure, what is it?" Felissa raised an eyebrow with interest. She leaned forward to give her full attention.
"I heard sothing about Lord Fabio," Idola whispered closely. The fellow servants serving the nobles gathered most of the night while doing chores to gossip.
The servants would talk about their masters and the gossip they heard from the other wolves.
"Tell ," Felissa pushed since she needed to know a piece of Fabio’s real intentions or past.
"Well, I heard he wants to beco an Alpha, but he can’t since he’s only the 2nd son. The eldest will inherit the title, which is why he wants to find a suitable wife to get what he wants," Idola whispered aggressively. She didn’t want Fabio to sche with Felissa since, for Idola, she was innocent and sweet to be taken advantage of.
"Hmm, really? Most nobles want to hold a title for themselves," Felissa replied, placing her chin over her knuckles.
"Yes, but I don’t want him to use you, my Lady. Everyone knows that you’re an only child of Alpha Nucci. He has no male heir to inherit the title and lead the pack," Idola slightly raised her voice. She was concerned about Felissa’s well-being, especially since she heard so n talk about it.
"Don’t worry. I’m sure nothing bad will happen to . The Queen will reject marriages to those that are not mates, rember. So rest assured," Felissa grinned and stood up. "I need to go in the bathroom. Can you prepare a cup of coffee and serve it here?" she asked.
"Yes, my Lady," Idola bowed and went to do the command.
Felissa sighed and was about to walk away when she heard soone calling her na. She turned around and saw Fabio waving at her from afar.
"Lady Felissa!" Fabio yelled with a cheerful expression. He ran toward the pavilion before Felissa could get away.
"Is there sothing you need, Lord Fabio?" Felissa asked with a furrowed eyebrow.
"This is for you," Fabio gave Felissa a bouquet of pink roses, which she accepted. "I’m here to take you for a date," he stated afterwards.
Felissa pursed her lips since she was confused if it was a question or a command from him. When Fabio noticed that Felissa didn’t respond, he repeated what he had said.
"I want to take you on a date in the city. So we can get to know each other," Fabio stated firmly before grabbing Felissa’s hand and dragging her toward the carriage nearby.
