Rosina was breathing heavily when she arrived at her ho. She grasped the pendant tightly, holding to it with her dear life.
"This place is safe. No one will find here," Rosina muttered and looked up at the ceiling made of roots. She couldn’t hear any sound nearby after a few minutes, which made her sigh in relief. She was happy and sad at the sa ti.
Rosina put her things on the floor before lying on her makeshift bed. She was overwheld with emotions that her eyelids wanted to close. Slowly, she was drifting to sleep when a blast erupted, and the room was coated in dust and smoke.
"What the—"Rosina flinched in surprise, and her instinct went into survival mode. She was about to jump back to create a distance when she felt soone hug her waist.
"Rosina!" Draco shouted and tightened his grip, afraid that Rosina would run away from him if he let go.
The smoke vanished, and Rosina could finally see the face of a man she had always yearned for.
"Draco..." Rosina whispered with tears in her eyes. She couldn’t believe that Draco was right in front of him. She was about to hug him when extre pain was felt where Draco was touching her.
"Get away! AH!" Rosina scread and pushed Draco away from her forcefully.
Draco was confused at the sudden rejection, but she noticed the smoke from the burnt marks Rosina had attained from her waist. He realized that Rosina’s demon body was rejecting the spark.
"Please, leave. I might hurt you," Rosina muttered with tears in her eyes. It hurt her to drive Draco away when all she wanted was to hug him tightly.
"NO! I’m not leaving you!" Draco shouted, and frustration fell into his body. He wanted to know the truth about Rosina’s past, which led her to beco like that. "Tell , Rosina. What happened to you? I want to know everything, please," he stated with begging eyes.
Rosina sighed in defeat. Even though she had entirely accepted her past. She couldn’t see herself opening herself to Draco since he might leave her once he knew her dark past.
Draco smiled and was about to touch Rosina’s hand, but he stopped before he could. He didn’t want to cause her more pain.
"I know you’re hesitant to tell about it, but I promise you. I’ll be here to support and listen to whatever you need. I won’t leave you," Draco stated with a sincere voice and action. After all, he had seen a piece of Rosina’s past with Vanda’s help, but he wanted to know what happened afterwards.
"Okay," Rosina replied, looking at her pale, ashy hands. She sighed deeply and forced herself to look into Draco’s eyes as she opened her mouth to speak.
"When I was a child. I was beaten day and night since Cleto didn’t believe I was his child. He put in a dark room since he hated how I looked. Then soone saved . I didn’t know who he was or rember what he looked like, but I’m grateful for his help," Rosina smiled at the mory. Although she was still questioning how the man got into her room since nobody knew about it except her family.
Draco couldn’t help but smile. It was when Vanda took him into Rosina’s mory and helped her escape, but he was surprised at the ti-lapse of events still connected to the future.
"After that, I ran straight to the open forest. I didn’t have any plans and just pushed right into it until I stumbled into a trap, leading to the 13th pack’s Castle," Rosina choked and started walking to the table with several fruits. She offered so to Draco, but he refused, ushering her to continue.
"I was ten years old at that ti. I was put in a room, secluded from all important places inside the Castle. I t Perise, the Rogue King and Pepe’s father. He taught about ’love’ gestures, but it was wrong," Rosina paused and faced Draco. It was hard to bring back those heartbreaking mories.
"What did he do to you," Draco asked, hoping it was not the one he was thinking.
Rosina took a deep breath. "He r@ped ... for three years until soone saved from it. Ambra, your sister by na killed Perise, which set free from his tornt," she said softly.
Draco bit his lips. He felt terrible and guilty for being insensitive to Rosina’s feelings several tis without thinking she had it rough. He wanted to hug and shower her with kisses, but he couldn’t.
When Rosina saw that Draco wasn’t saying a word, she continued.
"Then, I returned to the Palecrest pack since I had nowhere to go. I felt that the 12th pack was better than the 13th pack in terms of suffering. I was accepted then, but the treatnt was still the sa...." Rosina paused and walked in front of Draco.
"I’m sorry for all you have been through," Draco whispered and tried his best not to cry.
"Don’t be, but my story doesn’t end there. Do you want to see it with your own eyes?" Rosina asked for his consent.
"Yes, I want to know everything you give , Rosina. I’m not afraid to face anything and will stay by your side all through it," Draco whispered with a gentle smile.
"Alright," Rosina nodded before her eye color changed to a bright green. She raised her arms and caressed Draco’s cheeks, making him look into her eyes while ignoring her ache from their touch.
Rosina stared into Draco’s soul and opened the door to her mories, leading him inside.
Draco’s body collapsed into Rosina’s arms. She used strength to drag him into the bed and lay beside him.
"Draco, I don’t know if you will accept after knowing my past, but I hope you will," Rosina whispered while her consciousness started to fade away.
