The next day, Rosina woke up with a terrible headache after sleeping for a few hours. She sat up from the bed and saw Ambra still in deep sleep on the couch.

"What ti is it?" Rosina whispered and looked at the clock beside her. She nearly fell on her bed when she saw what ti it was.

"Noon!" Rosina exclaid and hurriedly went out of bed to take a bath. She picked out a simpler dress to wear before going out, leaving Ambra on the sofa.

When Rosina went out of her room. She saw several male wolves standing outside Pepe’s door. Their expressions were gloomy and dark.

Rosina pursed her lips and acted curious about the situation. She went forward and planned to enter Pepe’s room, but she was blocked by them.

"My Queen, the King requested for you to avoid going into his room for the next few days," Bertrando Neri, the 13th pack’s Beta, stated firmly while looking down at Rosina.

"Why, what is happening?" Rosina muttered softly and acted like a concerned wife.

Bertrando shook his head. "It’s a pack matter, my Queen, and you might faint if you see what was going on."

"But I am the Queen. I have the right to know the truth," Rosina raised her voice. A facade to show that she cared.

The door creaked open, and Pepe went out. His tired eyes bore Rosina with a deadpan expression. Without a word, he went and hugged her in front of his n.

Pepe took a big sniff of Rosina’s scent, only to notice that she slled nothing unlike before.

"Pepe, what is going on?" Rosina asked softly, pushing Pepe slightly away from her.

"Do you want to know?" Pepe asked. He was hesitating if it was alright for Rosina to see Dino’s corpse.

"Yes, I want to know," Rosina stated firmly. She looked at Pepe with perseverance.

"Alright, if it’s too much. You can hide behind my back," Pepe stated and gestured for his n to lead the way.

"But my King..." Bertrando blocked Pepe’s way. He didn’t want Rosina to see Dino’s corpse since for him, she-wolves had a weak system.

"It’s fine," Pepe sighed and stepped to the side. Patting Bertrando’s shoulder before walking away.

Dino’s corpse was placed in the dungeon where no one could see until they found the culprit.

Rosina’s heart was beating loudly when they arrived in front of the locked door. Inside was Dino’s body.

Pepe looked at Rosina and held her hand. "Are you sure about this?"

"Yes, I want to know what happened," Rosina whispered nervously and took a gulp, but it was only a facade.

"Okay," Pepe nodded before letting a servant open the door.

Instantly, the sll of rotting corpse hit their sensitive noses. Everyone covered their nose to prevent the sll from killing their senses, but Rosina stayed still.

The sll was usual for Rosina that she had forgotten that everyone was not used to the scent. She entered inside the room fearlessly and gazed at the body covered in white cloth.

"Rose..." Pepe held Rosina’s arms and pulled her back.

Rosina turned around and faced him. She saw Pepe’s surprised face, but most of all, his hand covering his nose.

"Oh... ah, the sll is terrible!" Rosina acted like she hated the sll and pinched her nose.

Pepe grabbed Rosina’s shoulder and pulled her outside since she complained of the sll.

"Wait, I want to see the body," Rosina stopped Pepe from taking her. She grabbed his hand and pressed it slightly, showing her determination.

"You might be traumatized by the sight. Even so of our n weren’t able to function well upon seeing the corpse. I don’t want you to suffer as well," Pepe stated firmly, leaving no space for argunt as he dragged Rosina outside and locked the door back.

"Is it from the run last night?" Rosina asked nervously, making sure that she shook her body.

"Yes, soone killed him and left the corpse in that place, but it’s very confusing," Pepe muttered. His expression showed that he was troubled by the situation.

"Tell . I can help!" Rosina exclaid and walked in front of Pepe. They were currently going back to the top floor.

"That man was Dino, an Oga. We gathered information from the Oga site that he was still alive yesterday. Ines, a she-wolf, was the last person he had been with, but she left him alone in the woods after their date. After that, he went missing and died," Pepe explained and rembered the talk with Ines.

"Maybe Ines had sothing to do with his death?" Rosina voiced out her opinion, but Pepe shook his head.

"That’s what I thought at first, but Ines has been in this pack for long. She is a weak she-wolf," Pepe stated and grabbed Rosina’s hips, pushing her to walk beside him.

"Then maybe another wolf that adores Ines killed Dino to have her?" Rosina stated. She was giving out different scenarios to let Pepe spill what was in his mind and his future plans.

"Hmm, there are many possibilities, but that wasn’t my concern," Pepe stopped walking and glanced at Rosina. He stepped closer and leaned into her ears.

Pepe’s n took a step back to give them space and faced the wall.

"There’s a short gap when it happened. When you based the ti that Ines left him and the ti we went for a run. There were only a few hours or less when Dino died, but his body looked like he had been dead for months," Pepe whispered flatly. His voice sent shivers down Rosina’s spine due to his voice.

"Th-that’s creeping out," Rosina whispered back. She ford her face with shock and fear to show Pepe.

"Yes, it is," Pepe chuckled and patted Rosina’s head. "This case is hard, but it ans one thing."

"What is it?" Rosina asked and grabbed Pepe’s shirt in an act of fear.

"This action was a threat. A warning that we must pay attention to. This has never happened before," Pepe took a step back, but his eyes remained on Rosina’s form.

"Then the culprit must be one of us. We must act discreetly to catch the murderer!" Rosina exclaid, but Pepe shook his head.

"I don’t think it’s one of us. I believed it was the enemy outside, sending a warning to this pack," Pepe smiled and caressed Rosina’s cheeks. "Because I have soone that they wanted so badly."
