Zara

On the 27th, the storm finally died down. Asbela and Kaysir returned from vacation, and I was glad to see them.

I was finally able to leave the pack house; I felt trapped there because of the storm, and also because of soone else.

That sa day, I realized my first pregnancy test, which was too early, so I took it again.

This worried , and I decided to go out and take a rapid pregnancy test with .

After descending the stairs, I left the pack house, and Asbela brought a mug of coffee.

"Here, this will warm you up. It’s still very cold outside." She smiled, and I nodded gratefully, taking the mug.

After leaving, I stepped out into the half-frozen garden. Snow covered the flowering bushes, the grass, the pool, and the seating area.

The sky was musty, but at least the icy wind had died down.

Wrapped in a wool shawl and thick, cozy socks, I stood under the gazebo with a hot mug of creamy coffee in my hands, trying to warm up. My cheeks seed frozen, as did the tip of my nose.

Soon, Alpha erged from the pack house, his piercing gaze landing on . Striding long, like a perfect model, he approached with a grim expression.

"It’s cold outside." He crossed his arms over his ample chest, still so noticeable beneath his thick wool collar. If he weren’t such a jerk and a liar, I would have praised him for his incredible attractiveness.

"I’m going away for a bit," I replied calmly, sipping my coffee. His lips twitched in response, as if he wanted to hold captive forever.

"Where?" he asked, taking another step forward.

"Almighty Alpha, that’s none of your business. I’m leaving with Kaysir, so you have nothing to worry about," I tried to answer as calmly as possible, but a hint of irritation still crept into my voice.

"I’ll go with you," he said, like a petulant child who doesn’t want to be left alone.

My eyes looked at him coldly and resolutely.

"Absolutely not. I’ll be back in half an hour," I said firmly, finishing the rest of my coffee.

His face tightened. His lack of self-control always brought out the worst in him.

Kaysir left, and, shoving the empty cup into Alpha’s hands, I headed for the car.

I knew wolf must be seething with anger, like the volcanoes on Venus, but I didn’t care.

He followed quickly. Kaysir held the door for while I got in and fastened my seatbelt.

Alpha stopped next to Kaysir and gave the order: "Ensure her safety and stay close."

"Yes, sir!" Kaysir nodded quickly and got behind the wheel.

The main door opened, and we got out. Alpha stood like a statue, watching us until we were out of his sight.

"Stop by the pharmacy, I need so calcium supplents," I told Kaysir.

"Yes, Luna." His gaze remained fixed on the road, which looked like it had just been cleared of snow. It still felt slippery. "Thank you for the Christmas gifts. My daughter really loved the toys." Kaysir’s voice rang with genuine gratitude.

"Ah! I’m so glad to hear that." My gaze fell on the street, which was like a snow-drenched paradise. People were trying to return to their daily lives. They were sweeping snow, clearing roads, and clearing it from in front of shops and houses.

We soon reached the pharmacy, and Kaysir imdiately opened the door for . As I walked out, I wrapped my shawl tightly around myself and grabbed my purse.

"Can I co in?" Kaysir asked, closing the door.

"No, it’ll only take a minute." I didn’t want him to see buy a pregnancy test. I walked forward, the snow crunching under my shoes.

Kaysir walked to the pharmacy and held the door, but didn’t follow inside.

I wandered around the store for a while, buying calcium supplents, and then, finally, two pregnancy tests.

My heart was pounding, and my hands were shaking just thinking about what I was doing.

Filling my lungs with oxygen, I cautiously approached the counter. I was greeted by a girl with red hair and a gentle smile. I smiled back and handed her the bottle of calcium supplents and the pregnancy tests.

Without a word, she scanned them and told the quantity. Putting them in a paper bag, she handed them to .

"Thank you!" I said warmly, and she smiled again.

I paid with my card and tucked the paper bag into my purse before heading out.

Kaysir was waiting for .

"Ho?" he asked, and I nodded.

We returned very quickly, and I noticed Alpha pacing the living room while Luna sat quietly, sipping tea and eating lemon tarts.

Alpha’s wild eyes lit up when he saw my return, as if I’d been gone for days.

"Zara! I’m glad you’re back. He was going crazy," Luna heartily exclaid.

She laughed, enjoying his suffering.

"No. I didn’t want her to go alone," Alpha quickly tried to justify himself, looking stunned.

"I just needed so fresh air after being cooped up inside because of the storm," I snorted. My eyes t his sharp features, and I imdiately wondered how he would react if he found out I was pregnant.

Which I didn’t know, but various scenarios kept popping into my head.

"Don’t mind him, he likes to control the lives of those he loves," Luna dismissed it as if it ant nothing. "Co on, let’s have so tea and eat these delicious cakes," she invited .

"Actually, I need to go to the bathroom urgently. Save so for ." I smiled at her, but I had a sinking feeling in my stomach.

"Of course, go ahead." Leaving them downstairs, I went upstairs. Putting my bag in the closet so Alpha wouldn’t see it, I grabbed one of the kits and, taking off my shawl, headed to the bathroom as quickly as I could. I was curious, too.
