DAMON~

"Do we know why?" I asked Carlos who stood beside .

"We don’t."

"How many?"

"Everyone present." my heart skipped a beat at the sound of his response. I inhaled deeply before walking away from the glass wall that stood between and Julian who lay on a hospital bed, countless machines connected to him as the doctors tried their hardest to save his life.

"They dig tunnels, they invade our towers, we can’t just watch them do this." I angrily said as I stord through the halls. Carlos walked by my right while Daniel approached us from the front.

"Get ready! We are going out." I ordered as I walked past him. He paused and turned around to follow.

"Where?"

"Silver hollow. It’s ti we show them the power of Howlcreek." I answered as we reached the exit of the building. I was about to open the door when I felt Daniel’s hand grab onto my wrist. My head snapped in his direction.

"Stop."

"Let go of ," I growled.

"No." He answered imdiately. Carlos stepped forward to help but Daniel tore his eyes away from and looked at him.

"Stay out of this!" He shouted and to my surprise he did.

"Let go of , Daniel," I ordered, my eyes beginning to glow as I spoke.

"No." He said, his hold on tightening "If you want to leave then make let go of you. You are the Alpha, right?"

"Know your place, Daniel," I warned.

"That is exactly what I’m doing. You’re gonna storm off without a plan and I’m advising you to stop."

"They attacked our border. Our first line of defense and you want to just sit back and take it?" I asked.

"No, I don’t expect you to do that but you’re not in the condition to start a war."

"I’m —"

"He’s right, Alpha." Carlos finally said and even Daniel was surprised. It was the first ti they had ever been on the sa side. "You can’t fight. Rember what the doctor said."

"I don’t need to fight," I replied. "We have wolves who will fight for their, Alpha."

"Really? Do you think the wolves would fight knowing their Alpha won’t step up?"

"I have a good reason for that, don’t I?"

"A reason they don’t know."

"Then I’ll make it known."

"That’s an even worse idea! The second they catch wind of your condition your position becos threatened" Daniel explained as he took his hand away from mine and let go of my wrist.

"You’re the Alpha for a reason, and you made your advisor so I could keep you in that position, so I can keep you alive and this—this move you wanna make isn’t gonna help do that," Daniel said softly.

"I can’t let this slide," I said.

"You don’t have to." Daniel responded, "You don’t have to let it slide but we can’t attack now, not without you in top shape."

"So what do we do?" I asked.

"We have no evidence that it’s Sliver hollow behind this."

"Who else would do sothing like this?"

"The n who could still talk said it was the mad wolf who attacked," Carlos interjected.

"The mad wolf." I repeated "Isn’t he working for the humans?"

"Not exactly, they just have him on call."

"Even still the I.O.W.A won’t make a move like this without cause and it is not the first ti he’s done sothing like this, we can’t attack Silver Hollow just because we assu they attacked us first."

"So basically, you’re saying we can’t do shit?" I asked, my voice low.

"Honestly, that’s our best option."

"It can be, there must be sothing we can do," I said as I began to pace back and forth when I heard soone shout.

"He’s awake!", our heads snapped in the direction of the voice and we saw a nurse jogging toward us.

"Who is awake?" Daniel asked as the nurse got to us.

"Ju—Julian," she said as she tried to catch her breath "He just woke up", our eyes widened with surprise. I knew he was strong but with the amount of injuries and wounds I saw on him, he should have been in intensive care for at least a week. As we got to the open door we imdiately saw him, sitting down with his eyes fixed on the wall, blank of any emotion till he finally noticed our presence, his head slowly turned to us, and his blank stare was imdiately replaced with sha.

"Alpha, I failed. I had one job and I failed." He said almost inaudibly.

"It wasn’t your fault, you weren’t prepared to face an attack of that magnitude," I replied as I continued to sneak glances at him, his body had been healed to perfection, and it looked like there had never been a confrontation to even begin with and I wasn’t the only one that thought that by the look on their faces, even the doctors that were still around stared at him with wide eyes. Daniel stepped further into the room to better examine Julian.

"At the age of sixty werewolf cells begin deteriorating, greatly slowing down healing, strength and speed beco a fraction of what they used to be and your body can no longer take the stress induced when transforming but here you are seventy-four and you’re still able to heal normally, you can still transform whenever you wish and your speed and strength don’t even seem to be affected. Still, that doesn’t explain how the fuck all your injuries are completely healed," Daniel said.

"It’s not unheard of for a wolf’s healing to speed up in tis of need or urgency, Maybe he just has a great will to live," Carlos interjected.

"The mad wolf." Julian suddenly said, his voice quiet but still the anger was clear, drawing our attention from his unusual healing back to the pressing matter at hand.

"What?"

"This wasn’t an attack, It was a statent, he wanted Howlcreek to know—He wanted Howlcreek to know that —" he stopped again as if scared of the words he wanted to say.

"Know what?" Daniel urged.

"He wanted Howlcreek to know that he was back."
