I watched with a smile on my face as she sang along to the music that played in the car, she was beautiful I thought as I parked the car in front of the restaurant.
"Hungry?" I asked her and as if in the queue I heard the sound of her stomach rumble, I chuckled not even waiting for an answer anymore, I stepped out of the car and so did she.
"Romani's" She read aloud the na of the restaurant.
"Let's go" I gestured as I walked through the transparent doors and into the packed restaurant, the classical music that played was calm and gave the place a class feel but the furniture and table placent served to remind all who entered that it was a modern establishnt.
"Gim a sec" I whispered as I went to the counter, the man behind imdiately recognized .
"Mike, good to see you man" He greeted with a smile.
"Hey Greg, is Thomas around" I asked as I shook his hand.
"Yeah, want to call him for you"
"Nah I'll just go in" I replied as I walked past the counter and into the kitchen, Imdiately I stepped in I could feel the harsh rise in temperature the sounds of utensils being used filled my ears as I searched around for Thomas, I couldn't find him so I held unto the first person I saw.
"Hey" I greeted, the waiter I held onto looked up at and imdiately recognized .
"Hey Mike, what's up," he said.
"All good Cam, where's Thomas" I asked with a friendly smile.
"He's in the office" Caron replied with a weird smile and I imdiately realized what the smile ant.
"Thanks, man," I said tapping his shoulder and letting him go as I went into the back, imdiately I opened to Mike's office I saw him standing and buttoning up his shirt, and in front of him was a woman with her legs crossed looking at him like a piece of at.
"Thomas!" I called and his head snapped to look at .
"Hey Broda," Thomas said with excitent as he walked to and captured in a hug.
"Hey" I greeted the woman who now had her lustful eyes fixed on , I acted aloof avoiding eye contact with her "Really bro during work hours."
"When else?" He argued and I just let out a breath of defeat he was hopeless.
"I brought over soone and I was wondering if we could get a table," I asked.
"Sure thing Broda" he replied enthusiastically then looked back at her "Sit tight sweety," he said to her then led out of the office.
"You finally on a date with her?" Thomas asked as we walked back.
"Nah we just having lunch."
"And you need to help you impress her," he asked with a cocky smile.
"Shut up man, I don't need you" I denied, I did but I wouldn't give him the pleasure of hearing say it.
"A'ight man" he chuckled as we got back to the main room. I saw her still standing beside the door and waved at her, she smiled and waved back.
"That her?" He asked astonished, his tone made chuckle and feel a sense of pride.
"Yeah, that's her" I confird.
"I'm proud of you bro, I thought you were exaggerating but derm bro well done," Thomas said with a cheeky smile, I laughed and smiled as we began walking towards her.
"Hey Dina" Thomas greeted "Let lead you to your table", she looked at and I shrugged with a smile as we followed him to a table in the corner, When we were seated comfortably he brought over two nus and began to address us.
"I'm Thomas Romani and I'll be taking care of the both of you today", she picked up one and I picked up the other.
"Well I'll have—" she dragged on obviously not knowing what she'd get, I looked over at Thomas and imdiately he got the ssage.
"Forget those pieces of paper I'm gonna bring you the best dish on the freaking nu," Thomas said excitedly and walked away. She put the nu down and with a delighted smile looked at .
"He's fun, I like him" She comnted watching Thomas walk away.
Asre interested in it but I didn't really mind I loved every second of it, it made feel included in her life till Thomas ca back again with 'The best dish on the freaking nu'.
"That was delicious" she exclaid happily after we had finished the al.
"Right, Thomas is the best chef in the city" I hyped as I rose to my feet, I locked eyes with Thomas and mouthed.
"Thanks, man" and he responded by shaking his head and raising a board that read.
"Get laid fool" My eyes widened as I read and I imdiately tore my eyes away from him and looked at her, luckily she was focused on her phone so she didn't see the sign, I sighed and stuck out my middle finger to Thomas who laughed and walked back into the kitchen.
"Ready to go?" I asked.
"Yeah," she said with a satisfied smile "Can I say bye to Thomas" she asked.
"He's probably busy" I lied.
"Oh ok," she said with mild disappointnt as we both walked out of the restaurant, imdiately I stepped out I could once again hear the sounds of the city, the people talking, and the cars that moved past the streets.
"Thanks for today, I didn't know how much I needed it" she thanked with a soft smile, I felt sothing warm rise in my chest.
"Do you want a ride ho?"
"My car still at work," she said reminding I was the one that pulled her from work.
"That's ok, I'll drive you ho and you can order an Uber tomorrow to get to work" I proposed, she thought for a little bit before a smile crossed her lips.
"Ok let's go," she said, I smiled like a man who had just won the lottery, I opened up the door for her and playfully bowed.
"After you milady" I jokingly said.
"Thank you my lord" she smiled as she entered the car, I pushed the door closed and walked to the other side, I entered and we were on our way.
"Ho?"
"No, can you stop at Elliot's school, I need to pick him up"
"No problem?" I said turning the car around and heading towards the school, it didn't take long for to get there and pull up close to the gate, I stepped out and looked through the opening of the gate and saw Elliott but there was soone else, soone I hadn't seen before.
"Whose that?" I asked and she imdiately saw him the joy in her eyes disappeared and was imdiately replaced by fear, Why?
