Ban nodded in understanding after seeing the status of the Giant Red Dragonfly Beast.
After receiving the Monster Egg as a reward from the System, Ban naturally requested the System to inject all knowledge regarding Dragonfly inside his brain in an instant.
That was also the reason why even though it's size was small and was clearly not enough to let him ride it, he did not react much as he already knew of its Body Expansion Skill beforehand.
As it was only a Normal Grade Beast, it only has one Skill at the mont. However, that was the standard if it was still living in the wild. With the System, the Book of Techniques, Greed, and Ban himself, there was a high chance of obtaining more than one Skill even if it was only a normal grade at the mont.
From the Book of Techniques alone, it already listed a dozen or so abilities that it can acquire by following the training thod it recorded, what more if he was rewarded by the System, and if Greed's 'Devour' ability sohow managed to upgrade the dragonfly itself.
Thinking of those dozens of training thods it provided, Ban could only sigh in defeat. The ti and effort the censored Ancient Summoner spent on this diary of hers was truly astronomical. Not to ntion, the cost of each training was also quite astronomical, for the current him. Hence he imdiately turned his head away from that thod and instead hoped and prayed that the System would reward his poor dragonfly a Skill.
All in all, the Dragonfly should no longer worry about its future henceforth now that it has beco his Summon.
After contracting the Unknown Egg earlier, Ban now has a total of three contracted Beasts. It was supposed to be four, but the Rogue Red Termite died from the hands of the Unknown Egg so he now has another vacant spot before reaching the next Realm, which was the Multi Realm that consisted of the D-Master Rank, C-Grandmaster Rank, and the B-Elder Rank.
At the Multi Realm, each Rank allows the Summoner to gain another Monster Summon.
Reaching the B-Elder Rank ans that a Summoner will already have 4 Monster Summons in total.
Ban on the other hand can get the sa amount while being still at the Singular Realm, which was only supposed to have only one Summon.
And from what the System said before, with his Almighty Summoner title, he could actually contract more, but due to his strength limitation, a limit was also imposed on him.
To be honest, four Beast was already a lot compared to Ban. One might think having more contracted Beast was advantageous but for him, who doesn't have the capability to nurture many of them at the sa ti, it would only prove to be a hindrance. Hence he actually thanked the System for limiting him with 4 contracts at the Singular Realm.
There was a reason why even those at the Multi Realm who have multiple Summons still don't act recklessly on the surface. It was because only one or two of their Monster Summons have so ability for the Summoner's current Rank.
The amount of ti, effort, and wealth spent on one Summon was already astronomical enough that even rich families will have to think twice about which Monster Summon they wanted to nurture in the end.
Of course, as always, everything was not the sa for everyone else. There should be cases where all of the Monster Summon of a B-Elder Rank Summoner was also the sa B-Elder Rank Monsters.
However, a Summoner reaching B-Elder Rank in the Eagle City if there was any, should also not number above three. Although there was no news about them, from the fact that the Guard Commander alone was already a C-Grandmaster Rank, and was one of the top powerhouse of the city, there should only be a handful of people that was above his strength in the city at the mont.
Anyways, had Ban been born in a very rich family with rich Summoners resources and along with the System, he might even wished for the System to not limit the number of Summons he will get. He would surely use the massive resources of his rich family to nurture an army of terrifying contracted Beast.
Alas, those thoughts could only remain as a dream for him. Forget about a powerful and rich family, even the only blood relative he knew- his gramps, was taken away forcefully in front of his eyes…
How ironic, he has the Almighty Summoner System, the Almighty Summoner Title, the Book of Techniques of the Ancient Summoner, and the 'Greed' Skill of the Transmigrator Ban to help him, he was supposed to have hundreds if not thousands of Summons on his beck and call, and yet here he was worrying about how to earn money to nurture his Beasts properly.
Ban shook those depressing thoughts as he thought about the fourth spot of his summoning slots. One step at a ti. Although he was given a cheat System and along with its other boons, it doesn't an that there was a shortcut to being strong.
He wanted to nurture each and everyone of his contracted Beast to the best of his abilities so it helped that he can only contract four Beasts for now. He doesn't want to win in quantity during a battle but prefers to win in quality, for now.
After pondering about it for a few days, he actually regretted that he treated the Rogue Red Termite badly. Although it was his enemy at first, and he justified that what he did to it was only his revenge, he realized that he was quite heartless when he dealt with it before.
Although it was an enemy at first, the mont he contracted it, he should have changed his perception towards it at that instant. As from that mont onward, the Rogue Red Termite was already his, and he was the Rogue Red Termite's master.
He even promised to feed it with crystals but actually just forgot about it in the end.
Alas, when he realized these things it was already too late. He was already planning to nurture it and treat it as the sa as Eva but who knew that it would actually be consud by that heartless and greedy fellow, the Unknown Egg?
Hence, Ban could only sigh in regret as he promised to never treat any of his contracted Beast again badly in the future. One mistake was already enough.
The Unknown Egg was supposed to be his fourth contracted Beast, but now, it beca the third after the death of the Rogue Red Termite.
The fourth spot was vacant at the mont, he still had five chances for the Blood Contractor for today, and hence he thought deeply, 'What kind of Beast should I contract as my fourth one?'
