Almighty Summoner System Chapter 15 - [Skill] Enrage!

The Night Worm's body bulged for a second before a violet and ominous-looking liquid was shot out of its mouth towards Ban.

Ban identified the attack as the skill called Mucus Spit. According to the Book of Techniques, this [Skill] was extrely corrosive and poisonous. The Night Worms already have it since birth, and it was the [Skill] they used to devour their siblings easily.

This skill was the Night Worm's main attack pattern, firing the Mucus Spit and devouring them when they could no longer move was their main objective.

As Ban knew of its effects and usage already, he of course already knew what to do best in this scenario.

With the help of the Book of Techniques knowledge, Ban was able to avoid the Mucus Spit easily. He stepped two steps back before taking two steps sidewards, and another two steps forward.

The Mucus Spit was not able to hit him and just as he finished the two steps forward, the Mucus Spit landed on the ground on his back and splattered on the air.

If he didn't take that extra two steps forward, Ban guessed that he would still be hit by the splattered mucus.

The Night Worm would need five minutes before it could fire another Mucus Spit. At this ti, the Night Worm would also not be able to move for a minute due to its previous attack.

Ban didn't waste this opportunity as he instantly closed in towards its body. Although he was afraid, he still did not stop as his life was already on the line.

"Eva, take the right!" Ban ordered while he dashed towards the left body of the Night Worm.

Krrr!

Eva hops off his shoulder and goes towards the right side of the beast, just as Ban had instructed.

Just as any other beasts, the eyes of the Night Worms are also one of its weaknesses.

"Eva, now!" Ban shouted as he closed in towards the left eye of the Night Worm in an instant.

Bam!

He delivered a devastating punch that hit the Night Worm's eyeball, or so he thought.

As the next second, he realized that the Night Worm managed to block it with the horn protruding just above its eyelids. The sa thing also happened on Eva's side.

"Horn Manipulation!" Ban exclaid in shock.

Horn Manipulation was a skill that a Night Worm would be able to learn upon forming their fifth horn. However, the Night Worm in front of him only has four, two above the eyelids, and the other two were situated below its wide mouth.

For it to learn the [Skill] Horn Manipulation at this stage, Ban could only think of one thing.

This Night Worm has the potential and is ready to evolve into another kind of beast!

In the Summoner's World, beasts and monsters have evolution paths unique to their race.

The Night Worms for example are called Night Wormlings after they got out of their cocoons or shells. After devouring their siblings, they would then evolve into Night Worm, a Lord Grade beast, and an adult version of the Night Wormlings.

However, Night Worms, just like the Demon Ant Queen, would only go as far as an F-Apprentice Rank. It was a limit brought by their lower forms.

However, if they managed to evolve into their next form, the next rank after the F-Apprentice Rank would open for them, allowing them to rank up and continue getting stronger.

Ban was startled upon the realization and before he could react to it, the horn under the Night Worm's mouth moved like a slithering snake.

"Eva, use the skill Enrage!" He shouted as he took three steps back, avoiding the Horn Manipulation that was coming for his heart.

Enrage!

Eva followed his orders imdiately and upon activation, her body throbbed like a beating heart, before her tiny body slowly swelled.

In a matter of seconds, she had already beco twice as big as before and her pinkish body was now glowing with a threatening reddish black color.

Her tiny body beca muscular and just as she finished her quick transformation, the horn that was coming for her had already arrived.

Boom!

A low but thunderous sound reached Ban's ears as he watched the situation in great anticipation.

However, the next second, he broke into a smile as he saw Eva perfectly blocking the Night Worm's horn with her two arms.

The Night Worm was startled, its body suddenly quivered as if it was being electrocuted.

Ban identified the sign and did not waste its opportunity.

He went forward and held the Night Worm's horn before delivering a punch.

Boom!

His fist went directly towards the Night Worm's eyelids, hitting it squarely this ti, causing the latter to whimper in pain.

Eva also did not waste the opportunity as she pushed the Night Worm's horn away. At the sa ti, her tiny body also dashed towards the Night Worm's eye.

Boom!

Her tiny fist hit the horn blocking the Night Worm's arm. However, unlike before, the Night Worm's body shivered from the impact and its horn now has cracks forming on its surface.

Hissed!

The Night Worm hissed threateningly, its body suddenly convulsed violently without warning. The shivering was more intense than before.

Ban was caught off guard and he was hit by the shaking body of the Night Worm. His body flew a few ters to the back before he managed to stabilize it.

Eva however was not thrown away in the slightest. She was already a hundred tis stronger than before and she could match the F-Apprentice Rank Lord Grade Night Worm just fine.

Every ti the Night Worm's body wriggled towards her, she would only swat it away like a fly.

Due to that, there were already many visible injuries on the Night Worm's body.

Just as Eva wanted to approach the squirming Night Worm to deliver a hard blow, Ban's voice suddenly reached her ears.

Even though she was enraged because of the skill, it did not hinder her thoughts at all and she was still able to listen and follow orders calmly.

"Eva! Stop right there and retreat!" Ban's frantic shout sounded, however the next second, his eyes bulged in shock as it seed that he was already too late.
