"Regarding that Quest change… we can really do that but you know, we won't be able to refund you of the Quest Fee that you already paid before…" The receptionist said with a helpless voice.
The Adventurers Guild would take a cut every ti a Quest was issued. The cuts were used as the wage of the Adventurers Guild's employees as well those who verify the Quest.
"It doesn't matter, just get it done swiftly…" Belle said. She never thought of Coins as a problem. She got her father backing her up ever since she gained consciousness and she never experienced running out of coins ever since then.
The cut that the receptionist was referring to was only a small portion of her daily allowance.
"Alright, please give the Quest paper of the Quest you wanted to change," the receptionist said.
Ban retrieved the paper imdiately and handed it over to her.
"Thank you, please wait a mont as I change the Quest details…" the receptionist said as she went outside the room.
Only Belle and Ban were left along with their Summons. Belle thought that it was her chance to bring up the matter regarding the reward to Leon so she no longer wasted any ti and asked him about it.
"Leon, can you co with to et my father later?" Belle said softly, in contrast to the tone she was using against the receptionist and George earlier.
Ban tilted his head from that question before asking, "Why?"
"Well, the thing about you treating my Summon's injury? My father would surely reward you handsoly for it…" she said with a proud smile.
"I don't think that's necessary?..." Ban said with an uncertain tone.
If it was any other guy that he would et for the reward, he would surely not deny it. However, Belle's father was a different case. He was afraid that he might get exposed if he ca along with her and t her father. That would be quite disastrous.
"No, it is very necessary… I an, I know how expensive it was to cure an injured Monster, but you still did it willingly. My father doesn't like being indebted to others and it's the sa for as well… I still haven't even thanked you properly for saving multiple tis earlier. How about I ask my father to reward you for it as well?" She said enthusiastically.
Ban did not know how to respond to her enthusiasm. A part of him really wanted to go for the rewards.
Fortunately, Ban was saved by the receptionist who had already co back.
Ban secretly heaves a sigh of relief as he waits for what the receptionist was about to say.
"I'm done changing the Quest details, you can check it again to confirm that nothing is wrong…" she smiled as she handed them the Quest paper again.
Belle took it from her hand with a frown, clearly displeased from the fact that she just interrupted their little talk. The receptionist was taken aback but she did not react to it, she experienced this kind of treatnt every day and she had long surpassed the point where she would be affected by sothing so silly.
Belle inspected the paper and after making sure that nothing was wrong with it, she handed it to Ban imdiately.
Ban also scanned the Quest paper briefly before handing it again to the receptionist after making sure that everything was fine.
The receptionist nodded her head before she handed Belle half of the Coins that was supposed to be part of the whole reward. They have already discussed it earlier and Ban would only get half of the reward as he would just give her the information and not the actual demonstration just like what she first requested.
"You can mark it as done already, he has already completed the Quest…" Belle said.
The receptionist just smiled before taking out a stamp from her side pocket, she must have predicted that this would happen next so she just brought her stamp along.
"Can I have your Adventurers Badge?" She turned towards Ban and asked.
Ban handed her his Gold Rank Badge which surprised her for a bit. However, she recovered fast enough and after a little while, she also made changes to his Badge along with her recording sothing in a book.
Ban was no stranger to that as Marie also did the sa before when he completed his first Quest as a Wood Rank Adventurer.
The receptionist needs to record the number of Quest an Adventurer finished or failed. They record it for reference later on when an Adventurer wants to ascend the rank and take the Ascension Quest.
One can even say that the reason they still bothered to make another Quest from it even though they could just make a private deal was only because they were going for the record.
Anyways, after she was done recording, she returned the Badge to Ban before handing over the remaining Quest reward.
Ban took the 1000 Gold Coins calmly, but in truth, he was actually shaking inside. It was another huge addition of Gold Coins for him and he now has over 2000 Gold Coins including the ones he earned before.
He also got another batch of sellable parts and he was expecting to earn at least 1000 Gold Coins from them as well.
As if afraid that they would run, Ban imdiately stored Gold Coins inside his Dinsional Storage, but of course, he acted as if he put them in the Storage Pouch that Belle had lent earlier.
As they were basically done on the Adventurers Guild, they exited out with the receptionist escorting them out.
The mont they got outside of the Adventurers Guild, Ban imdiately searched for George as he was now planning to go to the Adventurers Market to sell the Beast parts he acquired earlier.
"Uhmm, L-leon, how about we go to our house now? I think my father is already at ho as well as it's already past his duty hours…" Belle suggested.
