"You killed one already? That's fast!" Boss Mario exclaid in surprise the mont he saw the dead carcass of the Two-Tailed Rat.

He was surprised as he did not think it was that easy. Of course, he did not get ahead of himself and try to think that he would also do the sa. What he ant was that Ban was pretty efficient, that even he was surprised about.

'Didn't he just awaken a few days ago? How co he could already kill a Beast this swiftly? Are Summoner's with Monster Tattoo different from the rest?'

"Yeah, this one got temporarily blinded due to sudden light so I was able to kill it easily with the help of the sword!" Ban nodded his head as he recounted what happened.

Boss Mario nodded his head calmly but deep inside, he was already praising Ban for this achievent. After all, even though the Two-Tailed Rats are only X-Mortal Rank Beast, they still do have quite a durable body and they would not be taken down easily with just a simple sword strike.

And for Ban to take care of it with one strike, Mario could not help but comnd his unusual strength. Of course, he did not think that it was also unusual as Ban already had that unusual strength to begin with even before he awakened. So he thought that it was only normal that his unusual strength got carried along after awakening, and there's also a chance that the awakening boosted it further.

Boss Mario nodded his head as felt satisfied with his logical reasoning. He felt proud that he knew soone like Ban, and he even felt that Ban would beco as great as his father- Kuys- in the future.

"Are there any other Two-Tailed Rats left there?" Boss Mario asked curiously.

Even though he was a strong human himself, he doesn't want to risk it. Summoners aren't ant for battle and they are called summoner's for a reason. He asked if there were still so rats there so that he could do his best to avoid it.

"No, I don't think so! I checked the room thoroughly and I was not able to find more Two-Tailed Rars aside from this one!"

"Well, thank God!" Boss Mario said while clapping his hands.

"So? What's your plan now?" He added.

"I saw a hole at the back of the storage room earlier, I guessed that the Two-Tailed Rats might be the one who made that hole. What I'm going to do is follow their tracks using that hole as the starting point all the way to their nest before eliminating all of them." Ban said as he wiped the blood of the Two-Tailed Rat that had stuck on the blade of the sword.

Ban then put the sword back on its sheath before he nodded towards Boss Mario saying that he will go now.

"Alright, be careful Ban, and don't rush it. If you think that you can not handle them, then you can just retreat, and let's just co back again with more people." Boss Mario said worriedly.

"Alright Boss Mario, I got it!" Ban smiled at him before he returned to the small storage room but this ti, he went to the back, the area where he saw the hole.

Ban observed the hole that was bigger than the Two-Tailed Rat he killed earlier. He noticed that under the hole, the grass had already turned yellow or brown due to the Two-Tailed Rat's constant travel.

Ban smiled upon seeing that as it implies that tracking the location of their nest would beco much easier.

The knowledge that the System injected inside him from the Book of Techniques 'All About Them', also contains the knowledge of the Two-Tailed Rats behavior. It contains the knowledge about what they're trying to accomplish by doing this kind of thing and so on.

With that knowledge, Ban gained the ability to track them easily using their own behavior, as well their effects on their surroundings.

For example, these patches of grass have muds and grease on them so it only ans that either their nest was located on a sewer or an area near a sewer.

Ban followed the clues left by the Two-Tailed Rats one by one and after more than fifteen minutes, Ban arrived near an abandoned building that was over ten ters tall.

He knew of this building. In fact, it was quite notorious as horror stories often ntioned this building. Ban did not believe those stories he only heard from the others that are trying to scare their children to sleep, but he thought that it would not hurt him to be careful.

After all, he also felt that those stories were quite scary as well. For example, the priest that doesn't have a head or the lady that will go here to separate its upper body from the lower part before flying away like a bat.

The building was already broken to pieces and he doubted if anyone was still living here. He followed the tracks again and after another minute, the tracks led him to this huge crack on the ground right inside the abandoned building.

Ban nervously looked left and right to see whether there was soone around. After confirming that it was clear, he lit one of the lamps and hovered it over to the crack to try and see its depth.

The lamps he brought were only small in size, it was pretty convenient as one only needed to press a switch and the Luminous Stones inside it would imdiately emit a bright light to brighten its surroundings.

The light traveled rapidly and before Ban could react, the light had already reached the end of the crack.

He observed it and estimated that it should only be about three ters deep.

He confird once again if there was soone observing him, and after confirming that there wasn't, he imdiately jumped down the crack as the tracks of the Two-Tailed Rats ca from here.
