[Protagonist's POV]
'Speaking of which, how much has piled up by now?'
The last ti I'd checked, I'd blown all my points on that rosary, leaving with next to nothing. But enough ti had passed since then that I figured so regeneration must've kicked in. With that thought, I opened the shop interface.
It'd probably be a pitiful amount, barely hanging on—
"…400 points?"
I blinked, doubting my eyes.
After draining my points last ti, I hadn't topped them up with money or anything. Even if I had, it'd be a few points at most—not so huge stash.
And it hadn't been that long since then either.
By normal ans, I'd hit maybe 200 points, tops.
But this was nearly double that…
'…Did the Saintess do sothing?'
Naturally, my mind drifted to the Saintess I'd t in the anti.
["No! It's all thanks to your hard work, Hero!"]
Startle!
A familiar voice burst out of the shop interface, catching off guard.
Noble, holy, and beautifully lodic—there was no mistaking it.
"…Saintess?"
["Yes. Erdel Saintris, Saintess, at your service once again, Hero."]
The Saintess from that fantasy world.
The one who'd originally ant to summon .
["It's been a while, Hero! I missed you!"]
"Uh… yeah, long ti no see."
Her chipper voice crackled through the interface, and I hurriedly glanced around.
Thankfully, no one else was passing by, and Yeo Socheon hadn't shown up yet.
["No need to worry! I made sure no one else is around!"]
How she knew that when all I could hear was her voice was beyond , but I just rolled with it.
Last ti, she'd implied she'd been watching the whole ti anyway.
["So, right now, it's just you and in this carriage… hehe…"]
"You're not even physically here."
Shake shake.
["W-Wait, Hero! Don't shake the screen! It's making dizzy!"]
I'd waved the interface around thoughtlessly, but it seed to hit her harder than expected.
Though it was just dizziness, apparently.
"So why'd you contact out of nowhere? Won't it be trouble if Yeo Socheon catches us?"
["Sure, running into that world's saintess would be a hassle, but don't worry. If she shows up, I'll cut the connection right on cue!"]
"Wow… timing…"
It struck how long it'd been since I last heard English.
Back on Earth, it was a daily word for , and I'd often used it here without thinking—only to have to explain it every ti, which got old fast.
Hearing it from soone else's mouth felt…
["If you're touched, how about letting summon you to our world already—"]
"Nope, there goes the sentint."
["Why?!"]
"If you're seriously asking, maybe you need so self-reflection."
I stared at the glowing white interface with cold eyes.
Between her and the others, I couldn't let my guard down for a second.
Just as I'd start to feel a flicker of warmth, they'd douse it with sothing like this—how was I supposed to relax?
["Ugh… I almost had you…"]
I wasn't even close to being won over.
["The more you distrust , the sadder I get, you know? I stay up every night, racking my brain with my limited influence to help you as much as I can. It hurts when you doubt my dedication like this!"]
I did feel so gratitude toward her—after all, the shop interface had been a lifeline. But full trust? That was another story.
She was the root reason I'd ended up in this ss to begin with.
["…The real bad guy is that world's god. If it weren't for her, you'd be living a happy life in our world by now."]
"Happy, huh…?"
["Absolutely! Anything you want, I'd make it happen! Lavish feasts! Exotic delicacies! A harem of beauties! A utopia no man could refuse—a paradise! How could you not be happy?!"]
"Sounds like a life where my lower half never gets a break. That's more exhausting than joyful."
I'd already tested that out this past week.
One was bad enough—multiple?
Shudder.
No thanks.
Pleasure's great until it's a relentless grind.
["Hmph. The contract's already done. Stamped and sealed."]
"Then show the paperwork."
["Ugh… I should've made one back then…"]
"Let's cut the pointless chatter. Why are you here? Just bored?"
If we kept bantering, Yeo Socheon might show up, so I pushed for the point.
["Oh, right. Ahem. You were wondering why your points shot up so much, yeah? That's why I popped in—to explain."]
Her tone felt shaky, but I listened quietly.
["I told you before that the shop's 'points' are processed from the influence you secure in that world, right? That's why they grow over ti or when you spend money. But there's a way more efficient thod: using that world's saintess."]
"Using Yeo Socheon…"
Now that she ntioned it, sothing clicked.
When we first t, she'd said Yeo Socheon had built up enough influence to open this channel.
I hadn't fully grasped it then, but her explanation made it clear.
"So the more Yeo Socheon does, the more influence builds… and that gets turned into points?"
["Yes! You got it spot on!"]
"Oh…"
It'd been about three or four weeks since I t Yeo Socheon—call it a month for simplicity. That ant 200 points in a month.
Normally, I'd get maybe 30 points in that ti—200 was a jackpot.
'That's a hell of a haul.'
If Yeo Socheon were here, I'd have bowed on the spot.
Especially since I'd been aiming for 10,000 points, this felt massive.
"So 'use Yeo Socheon' ant this? To rack up 10,000 points fast?"
["Well… partly, but there's more to it. The more influence, the better. Beyond 'return' or 'summoning,' there are other critical tasks that need it too."]
"Critical tasks?"
["Like… this, for example?"]
Pop.
Next to the interface her voice ca from, the regular shop window opened.
A shiny "NEW!" tag glinted beside an unfamiliar item:
[Add Video Function to Channel]
[Price: 400 Points]
[☆Highly Recomnded☆ Purchase now and get a bonus gift: 'Saintess's Love']
"…What's with this blatantly 'buy now' item?"
