Chapter 23 - Adrenaline Rush-2

"HYAAAAAAAAAA!" Dana let out a fierce battle cry, swinging her blade with all her might. The steel cut through the air in a deadly arc—

Swish!

Her sword stabbed deep into a grey wolf's right eye.

"WOOOO—" The beast let out a high-pitched whimper before collapsing lifelessly onto the dirt.

Thud.

"Grrrrrrrrr..."

But before she could even take a breath, two more wolves stepped forward, replacing the fallen one, their snarling maws dripping with saliva, their glowing eyes locked onto their prey.

"This is bad..." Lilith muttered, gripping the hilt of her dagger with trembling fingers.

"Yeah, no shit." Dana responded, her muscles tensing.

Behind them, Leon turned to assess the battlefield—his pulse hamring against his skull. The number of royal guards had dwindled to three. They stood with their blades raised, but their arms were shaking, their knees barely holding them up.

Their faces were pale.

They were terrified.

And if they fell—

'Fuck, fuck, FUCK!' Leon's mind raced. If they die, we're next. I need to get out of here fast.' Leon thought as his eyes started searching for a way to run out.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

Suddenly, three bodies fell down to the ground and complete silence covered the forest.

The air grew thick.

His body locked up.

His instincts scread.

Death is behind you.

'They are dead and it's standing behind

now. I am about to die, again.' Leon thought with a serious expression.

"I knew it. I should've stayed ho and fucked that thick—"

CRUNCH!

Before he could've completed his sentence, A pair of enormous fangs tore into his right shoulder.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH—FUCKKKKKK!"

Leon's scream tore through the battlefield as the demonic wolf lifted him effortlessly, fangs sinking deeper into flesh and bone. Then, with a violent jerk of its head—

THWACK!

The beast flung Leon like a ragdoll. His body slamd against a tree, pain ripping through his spine. His vision blurred. His ears started ringing.

---

"O-Oh shit..." Dana's voice cracked as she turned, raising her trembling blade toward the creature.

Her legs wobbled.

Her hands shook.

Thud. Thud.

Lilith and Nina collapsed behind her, fear gripping them so tightly they couldn't even stand. The sharp scent of urine filled the air as they peed in their panties.

But Dana stood firm, sword clenched, standing between her sisters and the monster that would tear them apart.

"Grrrrrrrrr..."

The demonic wolf stepped forward, its black fur rippling like liquid shadow, its crimson eyes locked onto Dana.

She gritted her teeth and tightened her grip.

If this was the end, she would go down fighting.

---

Leon's eyes snapped open.

The pain in his shoulder got suppressed to the limits.

His heart slamd against his ribs, pumping blood at an unnatural speed. His pupils dilated. His muscles tightened like coiled steel. The world sharpened—every detail crystal clear.

With slow, controlled movents, Leon rose from the ground, stepping out from the bushes. His face was eerily calm, his breaths controlled.

A grey wolf noticed him, its ears perking up. Drool dripped from its maw as it growled, sensing blood... The wolf thought it was an injured prey. An easy one.

Then, in a blur of motion—

"Woof!"

The beast lunged, fangs aiming for Leon's throat.

But before it could even reach him—

Leon's hand shot out at an unimaginable speed.

SNAP!

He caught the wolf's jaws mid-air, his fingers crushing its snout with monstrous strength. The wolf's eyes bulged in shock, its limbs flailing.

Leon looked down at the creature with cold, unfeeling eyes.

"Stay in your fucking limit."

CRACK.

With one brutal squeeze, he shattered the wolf's skull like brittle glass. The beast went limp, dead before it even hit the ground.

'I can feel it... This power is just too much. It's like, I want to crush more skulls and this urge to kill...'
