789: Chapter 123 Naturally 789: Chapter 123 Naturally The Heavenly Dao sends down rainwaters nad Spiritual Fiend.

Countless seeds absorb the nourishnt, among which so grow the largest, overshadowing one area.

Their roots expand, absorbing more rainwaters, making themselves increasingly enormous, storing the most nutrients, and causing their shadowed areas to no longer produce new trees.

The Heavenly Dao believes this is not good, so it sends the ‘Seven Fiend Tribulation’ to destroy these giant trees, reducing them to ashes and compost, once again nourishing the earth.

This is the truth behind the Seven Fiend Tribulation.

On the surface, it seems to be just that.

But being probably the only top-level Seven Fiend Tribulation with both parents living, An Jing holds a slightly different view.

First, if Heaven truly wanted rely to release the nutrients in the Great Sects without imposing any further constraints, it would be an uninteresting cycle: the nutrients of the Great Sects are released, only to give rise to another sect, just like the Great Chen Dynasty rose after the destruction of the Divine Court, very similar to it.

Secondly, does the number of Martial Artists born naturally in the cycle really surpass that produced by the sects?

From an objective standpoint, An Jing thinks it is clear that the sects produce more Martial Artists.

There is an old saying about teachers: to convey the Dao, to impart knowledge, to resolve doubts.

While the Heavenly Dao fulfills the role to convey the Dao for the Divine Mandate, it rely grants the qualification to learn for other lesser fates – aren’t those Martial Artists who awaken their Fate Pattern still in need of finding a sect to study and grow?

Many Life Holders without teachers fall midway through their growth, wasting an excessive amount.

On the other hand, most Martial Artists of the sects can grow quite significantly.

Humanity inevitably needs guidance.

After all, not everyone is An Jing, even An Jing had a teacher in his previous life!

Therefore, the sects intercepting Fate Patterns, in An Jing’s view, though indeed carving into the Great Heaven and Earth objectively, yield far higher efficiency than Heaven itself in granting Fate Patterns, and not just marginally higher.

There is, of course, the possibility that the Heavenly Dao treats sects like pigs, using their far higher efficiency thods to fatten the pigs, and slaughter one when necessary.

It’s not impossible.

An Jing does not feel ‘close’ to the Embracing the Void Heavenly Dao at all.

Despite being the Heavenly Mandate, he knows he is but a tool, refined and reliable over repeated uses by the Heavenly Dao.

If the Heavenly Dao had self-awareness, it would certainly not ‘love’ him.

Most likely, the Heavenly Dao does not possess self-awareness; it is a conglorate treating all things as straw dogs.

But even so, An Jing believes the probability is small.

Destroying the sects’ mature system and equally distributing all Spiritual Fiend to all spirits would not change the outco: the geniuses and strong among them would once again consolidate all resources, creating a new organization.

Is this right?

Certainly not.

The Heavenly Dao definitely does not practice egalitarianism, or there would be no such thing as extraordinary.

Wisdom itself would not appear, as having differing ntalities is inherently unequal.

“Selective cultivation of suitable Martial Artist seeds to increase the probability of Fate Pattern awakening is indeed a more efficient thod.”

An Jing contemplated: “And even more efficient is that the conflicts between sects lead to continuous deaths of both sides’ Martial Artists.”

“Organized warfare resulting in deaths far exceeds those caused by spontaneous civil conflicts by thousands, even tens of thousands.

Although so return to the sects, many more dissipate into the heavens and earth.”

“Due to both sides being blood-regenerating Great Sects, such conflicts last far longer than normal Martial Artist battles… The larger the sects, the grander their conflicts, thus the longer they endure.”

—I understand now!

As a true Seven Fiend Tribulation, An Jing instantly comprehended its significance in the cycle: it is a true calamity, an event and prir; its existence, or rather, the existence of the Heavenly Mandate inherently stirs conflicts between the Great Sects!

Take, for instance, the Bright Mirror Sect; with the Heavenly Mandate, they dare to undertake many previously hesitant actions because they have a fallback, not fearing successor interruptions.

If the Taiming Sect knew the truth of the Heavenly Mandate, there would surely be a great battle, and whether the Taiming Sect stifled the Heavenly Mandate or the Bright Mirror Sect upheld it, it would result in one outco.

[A massive sect falls, becoming a nourishing giant whale; another great force ascends the steps, reaching a new realm, possibly unchanged but undoubtedly different.]

This is calamity.

Using battles as fuel, it burns away the unchanging now, bringing about intertwined spirals, unpredictable changes, and an ever-rising future.

After that, if the Great Chen Dynasty and the Shangxuan Sect learnt… not to ntion the Tianyi Demon Sect, there’d be another grand struggle!

Although nothing has yet happened, An Jing already knows that is his future.

A… destined [Fate] to be realized.

Not a simple deus ex machina, nor sowing many seeds for future growth.

But the forward-moving wheel of history, like waters rushing, rains falling, all ‘naturally’.

“Hmph.”

From Chenyinzi’s perspective, he suddenly saw his little grand-disciple’s brows furrow; not understanding, yet out of elder care, he asked, “What’s troubling you, feeling too tired and needing rest?”

“No, Grandmaster, my spirit is fine.”

An Jing shook his head.

He was very clear that with the Heavenly Mandate ca convenience, granting him supre talent, and thus, he inevitably bears corresponding ‘responsibilities.’ Without the Heavenly Mandate, An Jing wouldn’t have grown so rapidly.

He accepted this, thus he is also willing to accept those ‘immutable destinies’, the insurmountable ‘fate patterns’ akin to a great trend, as they follow the long river of history.

A true strong warrior, even when seeing a future filled with ordeal and hardship, will still face it unflinchingly.

He will not flee, but face it directly.

But… An Jing loathes all that is natural and taken for granted.

Two Great Sects clashing, one side shattered, the other reborn in fire, is good for Heaven but disastrous for humans; for the countless living on this land, one speck of dust can destroy countless lives.

But if not done, Heaven gains no reparations, and Hyuai Xu Heavenly Dao actually feels weak, An Jing can sense it.

If the Haotian Mirror Fragnt is truthful, the frontline Immortal Gods did not win, only suffer mutual destruction.

When the Heavenly Demon army descends again, if Life Chart Martial Way does not fundantally progress, all life will turn to ashes, far worse than sects colliding.

This world, this destiny is so hateful, forcing relentless choices, even Heavenly Mandates find it irresistible.

But An Jing refuses to accept it.

Though it has never existed, he insists on finding a better path, one that ensures both outcos—a way to beat those damnable bastards, burn them to fertilize Heaven, without disrupting everyone’s lives!

—You say don’t force it?

Then I will force it!
