Thornston Estate...

Ian stood a little to the side and watched his wife purse her lips as she ’worked’ on the canvas. This ant that she had a cute frown, and her pinky finger was between her beautiful white teeth, as her lips slightly brushed that finger. She looked so adorable and endearing when she was concentrating on sothing.

Since Shelby had no idea how she had created a ’world’ inside a painting canvas, she was even more stumped about how to reverse the process... and had been racking her brains for the better half an hour just on this.

’Just how do I do this? ’Draw’ him out? How do I even draw soone out of a painting?’ She brainstord and asked herself, asking and answering her own questions.

’Yes! How about erasing him from it? Maybe painting so of the background colour on his figure?’ she asked herself, but she thwarted that idea as soon as it was ford.

’What if it kills him like that other Fae person? No, no, no, I cannot risk that!’ She shook her head slightly and walked around the painting which was now hooked on a canvas in the middle of the room.

’I don’t know what to do!’ She lanted to herself. Just then, a small voice ridiculed her. It was more like she was doing that herself: ’Shelby! Do not be delirious! You are not so kind of a ’brilliant’, important person who can do this! Why would you believe in such nonsense? Did you think that you’re miraculously going to have a ’Shelby saves the day’ mont?

Hahaa.... How ridiculous! Know your place! You hardly even understand this supernatural crap and you think that a re human could do that? You are the unwanted and only mildly tolerable daughter of the Wendover family and nothing more than that! After a few months out of the place, do you now think that you can cover the sky with your hands?’

Shelby signed and nodded, agreeing with that inner voice.

However, despite these thoughts, Shelby could see why they had said that Currey was the luckier person of the two who had entered the painting’s world.

While she was hard at her thoughts and trying to find out how to undo this while mildly talking herself down, her actions had triggered different thoughts in her husband.

Ian did not listen to her thoughts this ti, or else he would have been very surprised at the way his Elfin was putting herself down. To Ian, his Elfin was the best of the best, and his heart swelled with pleasure at the thought of what she could do. His mouth would have dropped to the floor if he ’heard’ these thoughts.

’That’s my girl!’ his eyes shone, taking her in.

Ian also knew that Shelby should be distressed on a certain level, so despite his wildly beating heart and his fond look, he still maintained a distance.

Ian also knew that his Elfin would have a whole other set of emotions that may be discomforting, especially with that day’s activities, from Avril’s unexpected presence to the death of the witch’s helper and then the children’s scare to the knowledge that she may have killed soone indirectly. That was all too much for one ’fragile’ person to experience in a day.

Not that Ian cared one bit about the fact that she had done that. To him, his Elfin could commit no fault. Ian was not sure when he had started thinking like that. Shelby had creeped into his heart in a way that he had never thought possible. She had entangled herself like twines around his heart. In his mind, this was in a way that if she is taken off, his heart might bleed ... fatally.

At this point, Ian knew that if he had seen Shelby kill soone with her own hands and not just the ’painting theory’, he was pretty sure that he would have been turned on instead. Yes, that may be ssed up, but that was only because no one could view his wife as he did. Her smallish body, her perfect proportions, killer beauty, perfect eyelashes, startling blue eyes .... Oh! Just that thought!

Now imagine this stunning little beauty with a knife on soone’s throat and a deadly look in her eyes....

’Ian, that is ssed up!’ He thought to himself, shaking his head, but his smile was widening at the sa ti...

’It’ll be perfect... but she did it in an even better way.... Even the body is taken care of in an artful way....’ Ian signed at his line of thoughts and murmured, "It doesn’t get any better than that!"

Murray took a step aside and then another one back, keeping his eyes looking at Ian. Murray averted his gaze, understanding that it was wise to stay away from Ian at that mont. He could not read or see Ian’s thoughts at will like Shelby could, but Murray did not need to be a genius to estimate Ian’s line of thoughts. Murray lowered his head.

The two n were not worried because, for so reason, they had absolute faith in the fact that Shelby could unravel this. Murray especially knew that she could do it. Ian... he did not care much because he felt that it was okay for Currey to take so ti off.

For all Ian cared, Currey could stay there... wherever that was, for a few more months. His Elfin did not need to spend that much ti trying to help Currey when she was already tired after a long day, and in his view, this was not even needed!

Ian had shielded his thoughts consciously from Shelby, so she wasn’t privy to them, too. Ian could imagine how shocked she would be if she knew what he was thinking.

However, at that ti, Shelby bit down on her pinky a little more and sucked on that finger unconsciously, making Ian suck in his breath as he felt a tightening down and in between his legs.

That was so unexpected, but her side view with the slightly plump lips wrapped around her pinky geared his thoughts to a totally different line. Her short, curly hair curled and fanned around her face. She was still herself, but she just turned him on in the most unusual ways, and Ian could not help it.

’Ian! This is not the ti nor place!’ he reprimanded himself, but he was a little far gone to listen to his own advice.

His eyes followed the movents of her mouth and wished that he could go over and ravish her, but Ian knew that she would not be happy with him.... and this was sothing he could not afford.

Her worry lines deepened, and then suddenly as if she had so sort of inspiration, a bright light filled the room and then.

"Ah!" A low male grunt was heard, and then the man of the hour appeared. He grunted in pain as his back hit the cold floor.

Ian took a few steps forward and then pulled Shelby to him, holding her securely. He bent over and rested his chin on the top of her head.

"You did good! How about we leave them here and get so ti to ourselves?" Ian couldn’t help asking making Shelby blush.

First, she was elated at the prospect of what she had achieved, but the thing was that Shelby had no idea how that had happened. One minute, Currey was not in the room, but in the second minute, he was.

Shelby had no idea how she got from point A to B, but ’the end justifies the ans... right?’

She subconsciously could feel herself getting redder as Ian’s mber pocked her behind.

She bit her lips again and tried to turn to look at him, but Ian wouldn’t let her.

’You’re always finding different ways to seduce , Elfin.... *sigh* but I love that!’

Shelby shuddered in his arms, and he chuckled. Ian, as was becoming a habit had conveyed his thoughts directly to her.

On the side,

"What is going on? OMG!" Currey shouted as his heart lurched, but he received no response.

He tapped himself using both hands from his chest to the other parts of his body as if checking if all his limbs were in place. The bright light in the room hurt his eyes. Currey had been zapped back into the cold room. Surprisingly, his shoes had mud on them, attesting to the fact that he had really been there.

Currey was not one to be scared easily but this ti, he had been terrified out of his wits in that place. He looked up from where he was thinking that the people in the room would have been worried about him but then,

"You’re back?" Murray said and then turned away from him. Murray started taking off the paintings and packing them up.

Currey’s mouth dropped open in grievance. He turned towards his boss and his wife and then shook his head.

"None of you are glad that I ca back?" Currey shouted from the floor as he scrambled to his feet, ssing the place with his shoe’s muddy prints, but none of them minded him.

"You should be tired; let’s go to bed," Ian said his wife, leading her out of the cold room.

"I’ll sleep with the kids tonight", Shelby replied to Ian and detangled herself from him simultaneously.

Ian’s mouth dropped open... again!

"What? Why?"
