“Bols, is this the wife and daughter you ntioned before?”
Esdeath asked, glancing at the young, beautiful woman with long brown hair and the adorable little blonde girl in her arms.
“Huh? What are you doing here all of a sudden?”
Bols looked even more shocked, as if he hadn’t expected his wife to suddenly show up with their daughter.
“Honey~”
“Daddy~”
His wife and daughter called out to him affectionately.
“You really are sothing, dear. You forgot to take your lunch with you when you left this morning.”
His wife explained the reason for their visit.
“Oh, I see... Sorry about that.”
Bols scratched his head awkwardly.
“Daddy is so forgetful~”
The little girl giggled, looking especially cute.
Watching the interaction between Bols and his wife and daughter, Esdeath seed to be lost in thought.
“So this is what it's like to be married... It seems nice.”
She nodded slowly to herself.
“Well, I’ve been through a lot of tough tis, but just knowing that my wife and daughter are there to support keeps going.”
Bols spoke from the heart.
“I see... So the key isn’t marriage itself, but having a child first, right?”
Esdeath suddenly dropped a shocking remark.
That seed to be the conclusion she had reached.
“Uh...”
Bols froze for a mont.
Sothing felt off, but he had no idea how to respond. Esdeath’s words had completely shut down his brain, like a system overload.
“General Esdeath!...”
Just as he was trying to figure out how to explain things to her, Esdeath had already left.
“Daddy~ That pretty lady just left.”
The little girl poked Bols’ cheek with her tiny finger.
“Wait, was that the Esdeath you always talk about? She really is stunning.”
His wife marveled.
“Yes, that was General Esdeath.”
Bols scratched his head awkwardly. “But I think she misunderstood sothing... I just hope nothing bad cos of it.”

After leaving Bols, Esdeath imdiately sought out Blayn.
Without hesitation, she said, “Blayn, I want... a child.”
“Huh...?”
Blayn instinctively responded without thinking, but the next second, his expression froze.
“Wait, what did you just say?”
“I said, I want to have a child.”
Esdeath repeated, her face completely neutral.
A topic that would normally be embarrassing for most girls seed like nothing more than a casual statent to her.
Of course, while Esdeath wasn’t particularly skilled in matters of romance, she had done her research. She knew exactly what needed to be done to conceive a child.
And she had already done those things with Blayn before... It just seed like she hadn’t gotten "lucky" yet.
