Feeling a strong sense of hostility from Seryu, Mine and Sheele imdiately tensed, their expressions turning serious. Without hesitation, they raised their weapons and took defensive stances.

“Wait, they’re not the enemy,” Blayn whispered to Seryu.

His voice was low enough that the drug dealers below wouldn’t hear him.

Realizing her mistake, Seryu put her large sword back on her back. Her previously fierce and aggressive expression instantly softened into an awkward smile as she scratched her head.

“Sorry about that, I thought you were the bad guys,” she apologized quietly to Mine and Sheele.

Mine and Sheele let out slight sighs of relief. If a fight had broken out, their entire assassination mission could have been compromised.

“It’s fine,” Mine replied, then turned to Blayn. “So, what are you doing here?”

“We’re here to take care of the drug dealers too. We’ll talk about the details once the mission is done,” Blayn said.

“Hm...” Mine nodded.

She carefully removed one of the wooden panels from the ceiling and placed it aside. The ceiling was made up of multiple wooden boards supported by an iron frawork, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly. Now, through the small opening, they had a direct view of what was happening below.

Below them, a group of lavishly dressed won lay sprawled about, none of them able to stand properly. They were smoking “Opium” in unnatural positions, completely intoxicated.

It was clear that the rchants were using drugs to destroy these won.

Mine’s face darkened at the sight, and Sheele’s expression grew more solemn.

“Hahaha, looks like they’re having a great ti,” a voice rang out.

A man wearing a monocular eyepatch and gold chains strolled into the room, likely the drug smuggler. His accomplices followed closely behind.

“Listen up! Make good money for , and I’ll let you smoke as much as you want!”

The smuggler used the drugs as bait, luring the won into selling their bodies in places like the red-light district.

“Yes!”

The won, already hopelessly addicted, couldn’t resist the temptation. They had no choice but to keep prostituting themselves in exchange for more Opium.

“Hm?”

The smuggler’s gaze shifted to a woman lying in the corner. Her face was ashen, her body lifeless.

“This one’s done for. She reeks... completely useless now.”

“Just toss her out and find a new replacent. Go grab so dumb girl from the slums. Those worthless pieces of trash will do anything for a bit of money.”

With no regard for human life, the smuggler discarded the dying woman like garbage, already planning to prey on another victim.

It was obvious that all the won hooked on Opium had been abducted from the slums, only to be turned into tools for profit.

From their vantage point in the ceiling, Blayn, Sheele, and the others silently observed the disgusting scene before them.

“These rchants are exactly as described in the commission,” Sheele stated calmly.

Nothing seed to shake her composure.

“What a piece of shit!”

Mine clenched her fists as she took in the miserable state of the won from the slums.

“No matter what, drug smuggling is an unforgivable cri.”

Seryu's expression darkened, barely restraining herself from rushing down to deliver justice to this "evil."

“Let's move,” Blayn said calmly.

Aside from him, Seryu, Kuro, Sheele, and Mine were all Teigu users. Their overwhelming strength made dealing with the rchants and bodyguards effortless.

There was no need for any elaborate plan—just strike.

With her master’s permission, Seryu wasted no ti. She stomped down hard, blasting a massive hole in the ceiling.

The deafening crash startled the rchants.

“Wha—?!”

Before the leading rchant could even react, a massive sword ca crashing down on his skull.

Seryu had dropped from above, swinging her greatsword in a brutal downward strike, splitting the man clean in half.

The grueso sight left the remaining rchants paralyzed in shock. Seryu’s vicious grin only made her appear even more terrifying.

The commotion imdiately drew the attention of the bodyguards outside. They rushed in to check the situation, only to find several unknown intruders—assassins.

“Get them! Kill the intruders!”

The bodyguards charged forward, confident in their numbers.

However...

Within seconds, they were all dead.

Kuro didn’t even bother using Yatsufusa’s corpse puppets. A single effortless slash was enough to kill each one.

Mine’s Pumpkin Cannon took down enemy after enemy. Though her close-combat abilities were weak, she was always paired with Sheele, who ensured her protection.

Even though the rchants and guards carried firearms, Sheele easily deflected the bullets with her massive scissor-shaped Teigu.

“Wait.”

Just as Seryu was about to finish off the last remaining rchant, Blayn stopped her.

Her raised sword ca to an abrupt halt. If he had spoken a second later, the man's head would have burst apart.

The rchant collapsed to his knees, his legs giving out in terror. Tears and snot mixed on his face as he sobbed pitifully.

“Soone's protecting you, aren't they? Who is it?”

Blayn stepped forward, towering over the trembling man with a cold, piercing gaze.

“I-It’s... L-Lord Bull...”

The rchant had already lost all composure. Just one icy glare from Blayn was enough to make him spill everything.

Blayn nodded slightly. After getting his answer, he turned and walked away.

Even without further instruction, Seryu knew she was free to continue.

There was no reason to spare a scumbag like this. Drug smuggling alone warranted a death sentence. Luring and destroying countless won made his cris even more unforgivable.

“Koro, eat him.”

Seryu suddenly changed her mind. Beheading him was far too rciful—letting Koro devour him alive was much more fitting.

“Chow~”

Koro cheerfully trotted toward the rchant, nearly stumbling along the way.

Seeing the strange-looking but oddly cute dog, the rchant was montarily dumbfounded.

They want this little thing... to eat ?

Even Mine and Sheele, unfamiliar with Koro, exchanged puzzled glances.

Then, in an instant—

Koro’s head expanded to an enormous size.

His body remained the sa, but his head grew exponentially, an unnatural transformation far more terrifying than simple size augntation. The grotesque shift sent a chilling wave of horror through the room.

His gaping maw was now large enough to swallow multiple people whole.

The rchant’s pupils shrank in terror.

“No! No, please—!!”

His scream of pure desperation echoed through the air... before it was abruptly cut off.
