How do Monsters turn into Demons?
There are two famous thods to change a monster on the side of Light into a creature of Dark.
First; forced transformation. There are dark arts popular amongst the Dark Mages of the demon realm where they perform a short ritual and change the origin of a being. This ritual has a certain success rate based on the affinity of the creature. Monsters like Griffin or Dragons who have a strong will might resist the ritual and retain their form. However, the weaker monsters just succumb.
Second; contact with the Dark Water that seeps through the cracks in the dinsional barrier.
The Demon World isn't the part of the planet but a different dinsion. As such, the wall that separates the two worlds might get damaged due to ti or so other reasons. And because of those cracks, the air molecules of the Dark World get condensed once they interact with the colder temperature of the human realm; affecting the being who cos in contact with Dark Water.
In the latter case, the creature can be baptized but the chances of them retaining their sanity is very few.
The difference between a monster and a demon is their skills and mindset. The skill that a monster possesses, improves once they get demonized.
The mindset of a creature changes dramatically as well. Due to the transformation, they lose their sanity and the only thought that cos to their mind is slaughter.
That's why, if you see a high-ranking monster, you run. But if you see a high-leveled demon; you pray.

The town where Charlotte lives is a little smaller than Travenstoff but it's more peaceful. There are no city boundaries in this town since it's a self-governing province—under no nobility.
Hazerg is one of the few towns that is still adhering to self-governing policies and has never faced any circumstances because of its liberal mindset.
They have direct permission from the Second Emperor to maintain their way of governance and up until now, all the Emperors who have succeeded to the throne never tried imposing new rules over Hazerg.
Naturally, since they weren't under the rule of any Lord or Noble figure, they didn't have the specialized personnel at their disposal for security and stuff. Being confident in self-reliance, the townsn have always protected their motherland, all by themselves until now.
However, since Hazerg is surrounded by many other towns, they have yet to face a demon. The last ti, a demon appeared in Hazerg, the Mayor of the town handled it, at the expense of his own life. But this ti, there was no highly-ranked warrior in Hazerg who could go against any C-rank demon.
That's why I am here.
Around four in the evening, I finally reached the town which was about to get wrecked in a few hours.
I was exhausted from traveling for so long, and as such, I decided to sleep for a few hours after having a decent al.
Entering Hazerg wasn't a problem since I used my teleportation. And until last ti, I didn't need to let the security soldiers see my face.
I am using a similar wooden mask to hide my face since it would be problematic if Charlotte sees here...or worse any other character who unexpectedly appears in the Starfall Academy.
A hood over my head, my vest removed, and my hair tied. I think I looked civil enough to not get eyed by others.
'My sockets are nearing their full potential...' The source through which I channel magic in my body is the two magic receptors that I have accessed through different ans. However, now I was reaching their limits and the chances of my third awakening were near.

With those thoughts, I walked inside an inn which has an eatery as well.
"--!!"
There were many people around however, the first person on whom my eyes landed was 'her'.
Chestnut shade hair which has been bound in a bun to not hinder her work. Her erald eyes sparkled with a mysterious light as she looked at with surprise. A slender body coupled with a small and innocent face.
Charlotte Evans—the second main female lead and the witch who can cause my downfall, stood there spellbound just like .
"Char?" Suddenly soone called for her from behind the counter which helped and her as well, to break out of our daze.
....seriously, I thought I was immune to beautiful people then why...
"Table for how many?" Charlotte walked up to and asked in a slightly anxious voice.
"For one, please." I thought I would make a quick exit but well, there was no other choice it seems.
Charlotte nodded before leading the way to the inner side of the eatery where a small table was vacant.
There were two seats, one of which I pulled for myself and sat down.
"What would you like to have?" The deanor I was expecting from her has returned as she asked in a solemn voice.
Before the incident, Charlotte did not have much of a friendly attitude because of her runaway father and after she loses her mother and siblings she becos nothing but indifferent and quite rude.
Skimming through the nu, I decided to order sothing light,
"Red at steak, a loaf of bread, and sothing non-alcoholic and cold to drink on your recomndation."
Charlotte noted my order before she told to wait for so minutes and walked away.
'....haah, that was unexpected...' Although I was prepared to face Charlotte, this sudden coincidental eting caught off guard.

Alatia was done with her exams but since the sun was nearing the horizon, her brother suggested to leave tomorrow in the morning.
Alatia was confident that she would pass the entrance exams with ease. It was not overconfidence but a fact that no one can refute.
Having the opportunity, she decided to roam in the nearby market situated on the sa island where the Academy is.
The local market shop owners are all traders from all over the continent who pay a huge amount of sum to have their shop on the sa land where the famous Starfall Academy is situated.
Not only noble children but their parents also visit the Academy on several occasions—signifying the reason for such a high price.
Given that the traders bring forth the specialty of their native nations, allows the custors to browse through a variety of products.
Alatia was scrolling through the market to buy sothing for Kyle...sothing he can wear all the ti and reminds him of her.
'A ring... would be too much...should I buy a lee weapon?'
Kyle has been turning into a battle freak recently. He spends most of his leisure ti when not performing his job as her butler, in training and battling against Collen. Sotis Alatia feels jealous of Collen because it seems Kyle enjoys his ti with the Captain a lot.
She reached a big shop where various kinds of small and big weapons were on display.
There, she suddenly spotted a familiar person with whom she got acquainted recently.
"Professor Clara." The violet-haired lady was also one of the invigilators of the classroom where Alatia and several other students gave a written exam today.
"Hmm...ah! Isn't it Princess Alatia?"
"Just call , Alatia, Professor," Alatia suggested as such since in the Academy, one's social standing didn't matter. Everyone was equal inside the boundaries of the Academy.
"I can call you that inside the classroom...but here, you are a princess." Clara extended her reasoning, which Alatia didn't refute.
Alatia soon began browsing through the weapon again, seemingly assuming that the conversation now was over, when suddenly, it was Clara who asked,
"I thought you were pursuing magic as your primary subject?"
Alatia raised her brows before answering her, "This is a gift for soone. What about you, Professor?"
Alatia had a friendly exchange with Clara back in the examination hall as well, which explains why Alatia seed friendly toward the violette.
"What a coincidence! I am also here to pick a weapon for a special soone. Since he uses a spear, I am thinking of buying sothing similar."
"--!" For a mont, Alatia's body went still.
Spear user...Kyle...is she...
However, she soon shook her head. There were nurous people who uses spear.
