Huai Ling: "???"

What? Did his weapon suddenly decide to embrace Buddhism?! No more killing?!

Shooting into the air was fine.

But the mont it was aid at Ji Yanchuan, it jamd?!

Huai Ling decided to put the gun away and pulled out a claw knife instead. He grabbed Ji Yanchuan by the collar, ready to slash his throat in one swift motion!

Suddenly, a large chunk of cent fell from the ceiling, knocking him down!

Huai Ling passed out instantly!

The entire building began to tremble, as if it were about to collapse!

Qiao Chuchu could barely keep her balance when she felt soone cut the ropes binding her and pull her away: "This place is coming down! Let’s go!!"

She tore off the black cloth covering her eyes and, as her vision cleared, realized it was Ji Yanchuan dragging her.

She anxiously asked, "What about the man who tied up?!"

"He’s dead!" Ji Yanchuan didn’t even look back. "A piece of cent from the ceiling crushed him!!"

Qiao Chuchu: "? What about Huai Ling?"

Ji Yanchuan snapped, "We need to survive! Do you still want your money or not?!"

Under the weight of the cent, Weisheng Huailing opened his eyes, blood streaming down his forehead.

His world was painted in red.

The shaking building seed to be enduring soone’s wrath, and he couldn’t move, only able to look ahead.

Qiao Chuchu stumbled as Ji Yanchuan pulled her along, turning a corner and disappearing from his sight.

He was surprised, but only mildly so, not shocked that Qiao Chuchu had left.

He showed no reaction, lowering his eyelashes and lying there obediently, waiting for death, a stream of disappointnt flowing in his eyes.

As Qiao Chuchu passed by Huai Ling’s room, she noticed the floor was littered with bodies.

But Huai Ling was nowhere to be seen.

Ji Yanchuan hurriedly urged her in the hallway: "Hurry up!!"

She hesitated, a sharp pain shooting through her head, and a vision flashed before her eyes—

She stood in front of Huai Ling’s tombstone, sobbing uncontrollably.

Weisheng Yucan closed her eyes, suppressing her emotions: "We always knew this day would co. He chose this path, and death was inevitable."

Qiao Chuchu gasped for breath, overwheld with guilt: "No, it’s my fault. I didn’t know he was in the building. I didn’t know…"

Suddenly, Qiao Chuchu snapped back to reality and turned around, running toward the room: "Huai Ling hasn’t left yet! He’s still here!!"

Ji Yanchuan was stunned: "Qiao Chuchu! What are you doing?!"

The building was crumbling, pieces of debris raining down!

Ji Yanchuan glanced nervously at the ceiling: "I’m not waiting for you. If you die, it’s your own fault!"

He turned and rushed downstairs!

Qiao Chuchu ran back to the room and found Weisheng Huailing trapped under a slab of cent.

Huai Ling’s eyes were closed, his body lying on the ground, only a strand of silver-white hair visible, now covered in dust.

She strained to lift the heavy slab!

[It hurts, it hurts!!]

[My muscles are giving out, but I have to push harder!]

Huai Ling opened his eyes in surprise to see Qiao Chuchu struggling to move the cent off him!

His bloodstained eyes widened in astonishnt, staring at her without blinking, the dim light in his pupils reigniting with hope!

Qiao Chuchu, ignoring the pain in her arms, quickly helped him up: "Can you walk?!"

Huai Ling stood up dazedly, like a child, gesturing excitedly: *Why did you co back?! I was ready to die!*

Qiao Chuchu grabbed his hand and pulled him along: "There’s no ti to explain!!"

[Of course, it’s because I saw his funeral that I ca back!]

[But was it Huai Ling who blindfolded ?! I’ll have to ask him once we’re safe!]

[We can’t die together now!]

A rock suddenly struck Qiao Chuchu’s shoulder!

She cried out in pain: "Ah!"

Huai Ling’s expression darkened, and without hesitation, he scooped her up and carried her away!

He would never allow Qiao Chuchu to get hurt right in front of him!
