But Lou Tingsi held the back of her head, not letting her escape. He leaned in, his voice calm but firm. “I believe your tarot reading, but I won’t let you go to the eting. I promised your brother I wouldn’t take you to dangerous places, and for my own sake, I won’t let you go either.”
He leaned closer, his warm breath brushing her ear as he tucked the hundred-yuan bill into her hand. “Miss Qiao, if you behave, I’ll behave too. So wait for to finish my eting, and I’ll take you out. Don’t push , okay?”
