"First, we nearly crippled Kora, and now we've given Vivendi a solid punch," Shen Miaomiao said as she steered Gu Sheng's Navigator down the road. "The two largest gaming conglorates in each hemisphere have each taken a slap from you. How are we supposed to survive from now on..."

Her words sounded worried, but her tone told a completely different story. Far from being concerned, she actually seed quite pleased.

Excellent!

This spirit of charging headfirst into difficulties, even creating them when none exist, was truly comndable! Shen Miaomiao was very satisfied with this unexpected outco. The more Gu Sheng unintentionally offended the entire gaming industry, the higher her chances of losing money would beco. Then, when Gu Sheng couldn't hold out any longer, she could step forward heroically, take Old Gu on a world tour aboard a luxury yacht, and enjoy their early retirent together.

"An accidental hit... Vivendi probably won't mind, right?"

Gu Sheng actually felt sowhat awkward about this situation. He knew Flabird Studio's "Ace Heroes" was released around the sa ti as "Plants vs. Zombies." But who could have imagined their little ga would dominate a multi-hundred-million-dollar AAA blockbuster in both reputation and popularity?

I really didn't an to!

Gu Sheng didn't want any entanglent with Vivendi. At least not now. Currently, they were locked in fierce opposition with Kora. On the surface, "Escape" had crushed "Silent Hill," achieving a complete victory that even disbanded one of the original "Big Three" studios - Yamamoto Studio.

But subsequent events demonstrated Kora's formidable strength. Nishikawa Jiro imdiately took charge, rging and reorganizing Yamamoto Studio into Nishikawa Studio, seamlessly filling the gap left in the Big Three. Such rapid response and substantial financial backing fully displayed Kora's deep-rooted power as an established company.

Taking them down was practically impossible. But allowing them to recover unscathed wasn't what Gu Sheng wanted either. As the most influential gaming conglorate in the Eastern Hemisphere, Kora's proximity ant any interference from them could hinder Golden Wind's global expansion.

Therefore, according to Gu Sheng's plan, he needed to challenge all three of the "Old Big Three" studios one by one. Yamamoto Studio, Koizumi Studio, and Takasugi Studio. With Yamamoto Studio already fallen, only Koizumi and Takasugi remained. If he could defeat these remaining two studios in the market, preferably to the point of dissolution, then Kora would truly suffer significant damage.

They might even send a new generation of the Big Three to jointly sanction Golden Wind. If Golden Wind could overco this challenge, no one in Asia, or even the entire Eastern Hemisphere, would dare look down on them again.

After establishing dominance in the Eastern Hemisphere, then would co their confrontation with CloudPower-Vivendi. After all, that was a joint entity of two top-tier corporate conglorates. Although industry insiders claid Kora and CloudPower-Vivendi each dominated their respective hemispheres, in reality, the combined company's strength far surpassed Kora's. CloudPower alone could give Kora a hard ti, let alone Vivendi - the super conglorate that started in water utilities.

That was a true behemoth. A super monster standing atop the world. So Gu Sheng absolutely didn't want to add another formidable enemy right now. Hopefully, the deep-pocketed Vivendi wouldn't mind this minor embarrassnt of being overshadowed by a small ga.

Of course!

Apart from this, the plan to defeat the Big Three studios needed to proceed without delay. "Hmm..." Gu Sheng pondered. With "Escape from Hell" about to release, maintaining stability would allow them to join the Billion Club by year's end. Once promoted to mid-sized developers, they could secure a better booth at Tokyo Ga Show and properly face off against Kora...

As he was lost in thought, Shen Miaomiao turned the wheel, steering the car into the sales office parking lot. "What's on your mind, Mr. Gu? You look so serious?" she teased after parking.

"Thinking about the company's future developnt," Gu Sheng clicked off his seatbelt, "and our future profit plans."

Whoosh—!

Shen Miaomiao's hand trembled, the released seatbelt nearly hitting her face. "Let's... let's just look at houses first... houses first..."

They got out of the car together. The real estate consultant was already waiting nearby and enthusiastically approached them. "Good morning, I'm Yangyang, your property consultant. It's an honor to welco you. This way please."

There was a short distance between the parking lot and sales office, requiring them to walk through so landscaped areas. Walking slightly ahead, Yangyang asked, "Are you two looking for a ho together?"

Ah... well...

Gu Sheng and Shen Miaomiao both froze, clearly not expecting such a direct question right off the bat. "Ah... haha..." Gu Sheng forced an ambiguous smile. "Just looking around for now."

"Oh—" Whether Yangyang understood Gu Sheng's awkward yet polite smile was unclear as she continued, "Then you've co to the right place with our Royal Seal project. We have mature supporting facilities for shopping, education, and healthcare. Our developer is also well-established. If you're from Binjiang, you're probably familiar with our developer's reputation for financial strength and credibility."

As she spoke, Yangyang opened the sales office door and ushered them inside. Royal Seal was a mid-to-high-end large-scale real estate developnt, featuring premium apartnts with top-tier supporting facilities, evident even in the sales office's luxurious decor.

"...Here's so tea for you both." After seating them in the reception area, Yangyang served tea and handed them two floor plan brochures.

"Thank you," Shen Miaomiao accepted the brochures and asked, "By the way, you ntioned your developer's strong credentials. Which company is it?"

"Pengcheng Real Estate," Yangyang smiled. "If you've lived in Binjiang for a while, you should have heard of our developer."

Pengcheng... Real Estate???

Shen Miaomiao froze instantly.

Not only had she heard of it—she was all too familiar! Slowly putting down the brochure, she frowned with a look of dismay. "Is your boss... Peng Guangjun?"

"Ah... yes, but he's our major shareholder. The legal representative is our project manager," Yangyang nodded, then asked tentatively after observing Shen Miaomiao's reaction, "Do you... know him?"

Shen Miaomiao was silent for three seconds. "No."

With that, she grabbed Gu Sheng and stood up to leave!

"Wait, what the—?"

Gu Sheng, completely unprepared, felt like a daydreaming dog suddenly yanked away by its owner. He stumbled, nearly falling flat on his face.

"What's wrong?" Gu Sheng asked as Shen Miaomiao dragged him along. "Did she say sothing you didn't like? Why the sudden freakout?"

"Not buying here. Bad luck. Let's go." Shen Miaomiao's face was stern.

Gu Sheng was utterly confused: "Huh???"

However!

Just as they were about to exit the sales office!

The door opened to reveal a group approaching from outside!

Leading them was a young man around 24-25 years old, not very tall and quite plump. With a protruding belly, chubby face, delicate skin, and small eyes almost disappearing behind thick-rimd glasses, he looked like a sowhat simple-minded chubby guy. Surrounded by four or five people, he was heading toward the sales office.

"Tch!"

Gu Sheng clearly heard Shen Miaomiao click her tongue beside him as she tried to pull him back inside.

But at that mont, the chubby leader called out excitedly: "Hey? Miao... Miaomiao? What brings you here?!"

What the hell?

Gu Sheng was stunned. This simple-minded chubby guy surrounded by attendants actually knew Little Nezha?

"I told you to run... now we're in trouble..." Shen Miaomiao whispered through gritted teeth, barely moving her lips. "Peng Guangjun is Lao Shen's friend. I call him Uncle Peng. This is the marriage partner Lao Shen arranged for —Peng Family's eldest son, Peng Qianqian..."

Oh—!!!

Suddenly, it all made sense to Gu Sheng!

He had heard Shen Miaomiao ntion this before—how she described the guy as looking "evolutionarily incomplete." So this was him...

As he was thinking, Gu Sheng felt movent at his arm. Looking down, he saw Shen Miaomiao's small hand slipping into the crook of his elbow as she leaned against him. "...Play along."

"Why so nervous? This chubby guy seems quite cute. Not at all like the 'evolutionarily incomplete' description you gave," Gu Sheng teased quietly, seeing her tension. As he spoke, he withdrew his arm from her grasp.

"Hey you—?!" Shen Miaomiao glared at him in shock.

But before she could finish, Gu Sheng took her small hand in his instead.

Shen Miaomiao pressed her lips together, a faint blush coloring her cheeks as she followed Gu Sheng down the steps to et Peng Qianqian. "Long ti no see, Manager Peng."

"Ah—none of this 'manager' stuff. I'm just working for my dad," Peng Qianqian waved his hand with a hearty laugh, then looked curiously at Gu Sheng. "And this is...?"

"My fiancé, Gu Sheng," Shen Miaomiao smiled, directly asserting her claim without hesitation. "We're here to check out our future ho."

Whoa—!!!

Hearing this, Gu Sheng beside her nearly collapsed.

With that mouth of hers, she could say whatever she wanted, couldn't she?

This progression was way too advanced! Gu Sheng was shocked. He thought Little Nezha would at most give him a "boyfriend" title to muddle through and send Peng Qianqian packing.

But no!

This young lady had swung for the fences!

Straight to fiancé!

If marriage didn't require certificates, she'd probably claim they were already married!

But with the act already in motion, Gu Sheng had no choice but to play along, extending his hand. "Hello, Manager Peng. I've heard so much about you."

However!

Although Little Nezha's declaration was extre, the effect was undeniably strong.

The chubby Peng Qianqian opposite them clearly froze, shaking Gu Sheng's hand stiffly. "Oh... oh... no, no... hello..." Then he opened his mouth again. "Congratulations... congratulations..."

For so reason, looking at Peng Qianqian's dumbfounded expression, Gu Sheng suddenly felt a bit sorry for the chubby guy.

It was clear Peng Qianqian lacked the typical rich second-generation arrogance—if anything, he seed rather simple and honest.

anwhile, Gu Sheng stood there impeccably dressed, wearing a trademark smile while holding Little Nezha's hand, looking every bit the villain who'd stolen soone else's goddess.

After so brief pleasantries, Peng Qianqian excused himself to the restroom, inviting the "soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Gu" to wait in the VIP area while he accompanied them to view the show flat.

About two minutes later, Gu Sheng also needed the restroom and followed Peng Qianqian in.

But the mont he entered!

He heard Peng Qianqian's voice from a stall, apparently on the phone:

"Damn! Honey! Guess who I just saw?"

Gu Sheng: ?

"Shen Miaomiao! That spoiled brat from the Shen family! Yeah! The one who's always threatening 'Listen up, I'm counting to three!' She actually has a fiancé now!"

Gu Sheng: ??

"But her fiancé looks pretty miserable too—I clearly saw the guy's eyes were a bit swollen, probably from Shen Miaomiao beating him up!"

Gu Sheng: ???

"Exactly! Tsk! What an unlucky guy... imagine how many beatings he'll endure in the future! Such terrible luck... poor dude..."

Gu Sheng: ?????

Wait, what? Hold on—what the hell is this situation?

Gu Sheng felt his brain overheating.

So—

Peng Qianqian already had a girlfriend!

So—

Peng Qianqian never intended to marry Little Nezha!

So—

There was never any "stealing soone's goddess" scenario!

Because right now!

The chubby guy was hiding in the bathroom sharing gossip with his actual girlfriend!

And that gossip—

Was fucking !!!

Damn—!!!

Gu Sheng saw black.

Life was truly unpredictable.

After quickly finishing up, washing his hands, and returning to the VIP area, he needed to tell Little Nezha imdiately to stop the act—they'd been played like fools. Lao Shen had used Peng Qianqian like Zhang Liao of old.

In ancient tis, Zhang Liao could stop children's nightti crying; today, Peng Qianqian could stop Miaomiao's slacking.

However!

Before Gu Sheng could speak at the VIP room entrance, Shen Miaomiao stood up from the sofa and waved behind him. "Let's go, Manager Peng."

Without giving Gu Sheng a chance to explain, she grabbed his hand, interlacing their fingers, and strode confidently toward Peng Qianqian with unstoppable montum.

Thus began the tornt.

Clearly, Lao Shen's threat of "if you don't properly inherit the family business, you'll have to marry Peng Qianqian" had left deep psychological scars on Little Nezha.

Determined to eliminate any marriage possibilities at the root, Shen Miaomiao seized every opportunity during the tour to flaunt their "affection," showcasing their inseparable bond!

"Hey, Old Gu, let's hang a small swing here later—you can push , okay?"

"Oh, and here—this will be our studio. We'll get a beanbag chair so I can lean against you while you lean on it!"

"Also, we need a bigger bed at ho so I won't keep stealing your space!"

"Wow, this room is huge! Perfect for a nursery—we could even build a little castle in here!"

"And here..."

Shen Miaomiao chattered endlessly, holding Gu Sheng's hand as they toured the show flat.

Behind them, Peng Qianqian's eyes when looking at Gu Sheng were filled with sympathy and pity.

As for Gu Sheng?

Gu Sheng's current silence.

Was deafening...
