It was truly a dreadful day—a day of awful horror for all of us who were present to witness it.

It all started when we received news of its appearance: The Blue Beast.

Before we could even arrive to assist, three of our most talented agents had already been taken down.

*

First, the Blue Beast was spotted zooming through the sky from Tokoi to Dokai at an alarming speed.

As the Nappa Supernatural Control Agency, we are concerned with keeping monsters from the other side from roaming freely on this one. So we imdiately moved to address the issue.

What’s more, there had been reports of demon sightings up a mountain in Dokai—the exact location the Blue Beast was flying to.

It didn’t feel like a coincidence.

And as suspected:

"Captain! We’ve confird it—the Blue Beast is acquainted with the demons. And it’s an intelligent type."

I also received a report that there seed to have been a scuffle—one of the demons was even blasted into space—but perhaps it was just barbarism.

Maybe their way of saying hi.

"We have them surrounded now. Awaiting your orders, ma’am!"

"Roger. We’re on our way. But let no one engage the Beast. Send the three prodigies first."

As instructed, the first batch of the team that arrived at the mountain did not attack. But our strongest team of three engaged:

Queen, Kaminari, and Dale—a foreign lad.

These Level 9 agents were competent and effective. I had hoped they’d be able to proceed without requiring many instructions.

The demons escaped, I was told.

But that was clearly rcy from their side—Ruben, for whatever reason, had been present there.

Now that the Blue Beast was alone, it would be hunted easily.

From the helicopter, my Vice Captain—Benimaru—and I watched the struggle unfold via the drones flying overhead.

This new threat... it had no magical signature or presence at all.

Normally, that should’ve ant it wasn’t alive—or that it lacked a soul.

But if it truly bore human-like intelligence...

Then it should have had a soul.

"Engage."

With that order, Queen imdiately shot the Beast with her skill-powered arrow.

It landed squarely, piercing through its head.

The result? A gaping hole in its forehead.

But it remained standing—as if nothing had happened. Seconds later, the hole sealed shut.

It effortlessly healed what should’ve been a critical strike to a vital point.

Even with the added effects of her skill—effects like paralyze or death—the monster didn’t even stagger.

She continued to shoot, but perhaps realizing the danger, it began to evade in a peculiar manner—like a slippery serpent, it slithered and flowed around, dodging with top-tier precision.

Our strongest physical agent, Dale, smashed his Greenarium spiked club into the monster, sending it flying several ters away.

I truly wanted to observe how this Beast fought... Had I known better, I would’ve told them to disengage and flee.

Queen, with her speed, had already closed the distance. She let three [Dissolve] arrows fly.

Yet it remained.

By then, I had realized the gravity of the situation. So I called for even more backup.

Even Pillar-level individuals wouldn’t take Queen’s arrows like they were insect stings.

I myself would soon join the fight—but for now, I continued to watch from above, analyzing the Beast’s movents and trying to spot any loopholes.

I turned to Benimaru beside . I was worried about him.

Because if things went completely wrong and our team got hurt—he would be devastated.

His family was up there.

The prodigies continued engaging the monster on their own. Even I was impressed.

But alas... it was all futile.

Like a whip, a part of the Blue Beast’s body lashed out and collided with Dale’s flank.

It happened so suddenly—just as Queen had released her arrow, imbued with Kaminari’s magic.

With a dull crack, Dale’s face twisted in pain.

He died instantly—his ribs and spine destroyed.

And as Queen’s arrow approached fiercely—this ti, it didn’t pierce the monster.

It bounced off instantly and reflected straight back toward her.

Kaminari managed to dodge it, but Queen wasn’t so lucky. She was caught in the blow and thrown back.

I turned to look at Benimaru—he was appalled.

Everything within a 10-ter radius, including Queen, had been struck by a lightning spell that eternally eats away at the vessel until there’s nothing left.

Her body cracked with lightning, and with an arrow buried in her abdon, she lay near-dead on the ground.

It wasn’t even the pointed end of the arrow that hit her.

She was basically finished now.

Kaminari, fully aware of this—and utterly enraged—began preparing an advanced spell, ignoring all defense.

"With this, the Beast will undoubtedly take a high level of damage.

And when we arrive on the battlefield, it’ll be weakened—easy to finish."

That’s what I thought.

I was mistaken.

I was naïve to think along those lines.

As the lightning do began to spread, electrocuting everything within its reach, a blue do of similar shape began to expand outward from the center of the Blue Beast.

In an instant, the two dos clashed.

But the lightning do was like weak mist compared to the blue one.

Surreally, it pushed the lightning back—straight into Kaminari—and together, both wave and caster were dragged backward, crushed and electrocuted violently.

He was roasted alive while being slamd through jagged rocks until he collided with a large boulder. His skull shattered.

He died instantly.

The abomination slithered toward his broken body—like a blue snake or a trail of spilled ink—and stared down at him, analyzing him until it was sure he was truly dead.

Then, in a sudden flash of blue light, it flew off toward the city.

All of our special-grade agents... wiped out by a single monster.

It spoke. It had a voice.

And it told Kaminari to call it Aggressive Predator.

When we arrived—shortly after the Beast fled—we found a leveled radius spanning 60 ters.

Dale was buried beneath rubble.

Kaminari was half-fused into the rock wall behind him.

And—

"Queen!!" Benimaru called, running toward his wife.

The only one still alive...

Her body glistened—lightning still flowing inside her, eating through her veins like glowing roots of destruction.

He gently removed her mask.

"H...Hi..." she said weakly, looking up at her husband. Her forrly blue eyes were now golden, lit by the storm surging within her.

"I’m so sorry, darling!" Benimaru wept. "I wish I had co sooner. I wish I had taken your place...!"

His breath hitched as he held her trembling body.

"Nothing... of the sort," she whispered. "I’m glad... you didn’t fight that thing..."

She winced, her brows twitching in pain. Slowly, she placed a hand on her stomach.

"If I had known... about today... I would’ve at least spared the little one... inside ..."

Benimaru whimpered—and then cried out loud.

"I’m so sorry, my love..." Queen added, her body trembling. "...Love you... Bye..."

She was gone.

Finally dead. Finally free.

What a strong woman.

To endure that level of power and magic ravaging her body... for this long.

"Be strong for her, Benimaru," I encouraged.

"There’s nothing more we can do for her—except bring justice for this tragedy... We shall destroy this Aggressive Predator, I swear it!"

As I held his shoulders in consolation—

"Captain!" one agent called out.

"Two of the Twelve Pillars are currently below the mountain—with the Blue Beast!"

Goodness... Was this monster truly that great a threat? To warrant the attention of the World Pillars?

"Clean this place up," I ordered. "And take the bodies back to base. Be sure to dispel the magical effect on Queen—we’ll need a proper corpse to bury. Also... contact Dale’s family."

Explaining to them that their son has died... That would be difficult.

Nevertheless, I imdiately made my way down the mountain—to witness the execution of that horrible Beast.

Little did I know... I was walking toward my own.

---

When I arrived, I found the entire area littered with agents from the WOA.

I saw the Shredder—Yam—and the arrogant elf, Vaelora.

Two high-ranking mbers of the World Pillar.

And there, surrounded by them... was the Blue Beast.

I would’ve loved to tear it apart myself.

But I’d settle for watching its execution.

---

"I..." it said. The ground seed to vibrate with the depth of its tone. "...Once helped an old woman cross the street."

Its voice was even more terrifying up close.

My bones trembled. I wanted to be anywhere but there.

What... was that?

What did it an?

Even Vaelora and Yam looked visibly disturbed.

"You shall explain what that parable ans. Now."

Yam’s command was cold, clear.

Without another word, he charged forward, engaging the Beast in a flurry of devastating slices—wielding a wide, green-ford, single-edged sword in both hands.

But the Beast—nimble and agile—dodged and slipped around most of the strikes with near liquid grace.

Still, Yam was faster, more skilled.

And now and then, his blade found flesh.

But the Beast... kept regenerating.

"Hahahaha! Nice! Nice!" Yam shrieked like a lunatic, clearly enjoying himself.

"Keep entertained!!"

That fool.

Yam had always been a villain in a hero’s cloak.

I’ve read the records of both his heroics and atrocities.

He doesn’t care about the lives of the weak—he lives only for carnage and war.

But still... he currently stood as the planet’s Number One Hero.

So now the question was:

Will the Blue Beast die here?

Or—

Will Yam?

Because at the pace this battle was raging,

one of these anomalies must fall.
