[Here it cos—] the co-comntator started, his voice trailing with anticipation.

Sc Veendam’s defense scrambled to respond, bodies jostling for position. Mulder again leaped into the fray, but this ti, it wasn’t enough.

The ball found the head of Haye, whose power header sent it crashing against the crossbar with a thundering impact.

CLANG!!!

[What a chance! That could have been six!]

The ball ricocheted out, landing at the feet of Beerens, who was already in full stride. His eyes locked on the ball, and without hesitation, he whipped a first-ti volley toward the goal.

[He’s done it again!] Mike shouted. [Beerens on the spot, and that ball was as close to perfect as you can get]

Nienhuis managed a desperate dive, but it was far too quick, too precise. The ball slamd into the net, and the crowd’s roar was deafening.

GOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!!~

[And there it is—six-nil! A devastating second goal for Beerens, and it’s an exact replica of his first goal] the co-comntator added, shaking his head. [It’s hard to watch now, SC Veendam are just completely overwheld]

The scoreboard flashed.

AZ Alkmaar 6-0 SC Veendam, 40th Minute.

On the sidelines, the SC Veendam coach had his arms folded, unable to mask his frustration.

The energy had completely drained from his players as they trudged back to center, shoulders slumped.

[It’s been a ruthless display,] Mike remarked. [This isn’t just a demolition; it’s a masterclass performance from AZ Alkmaar’s second eleven. SC Veendam have had no answer to AZ Alkmaar’s pace and precision]

[And they’ve kept coming, no signs of slowing down,] the co-comntator said. [Each goal feels more inevitable than the last]

Fweeee!~

The match continued, but SC Veendam seed to have completely surrendered to the tide.

The AZ Alkmaar players, however, weren’t done yet. They were relentless, as if determined to prove a point with every touch.

[They sll blood,] Mike said with a chuckle. [If I’m SC Veendam, I’m just hoping this ga ends soon and I don’t get to feature in the second half. A seventh goal before the half would make it completely impossible to co back from]

AZ Alkmaar soon won possession and Overtoom received the ball on the wing, sending a sly glance toward the middle.

With a quick flick, the ball found Guðmundsson, who imdiately played it through to Adam.

[And here cos Adam again—] the co-comntator said, almost too casually. [You can almost feel the seventh goal in the making]

Adam, looking calm and collected, nudged it past his defender, opening a path for a shot. Instead, he played a perfectly squared ball to Johannsson, who had no hesitation. But just as Jóhannsson was about to unleash his shot—

Mulder dove in, getting a toe to the ball and sending it spiraling out of bounds.

[What a challenge! Mulder has been the only thing standing between AZ Alkmaar and a complete rout,] Mike noted. [But even he can’t do it alone]

[Not much more he can do,] the co-comntator agreed. [The man’s a warrior, but this is a different level of pressure]

Another corner. Overtoom jogged over again with a confident smile flickering across his face.

[Six goals, and they’re still going for more,] Mike said, his voice a mix of admiration and disbelief. [What’s next? Seven? Eight?]

[We might see sothing special,] the co-comntator replied with a knowing tone. [Or maybe SC Veendam will just be praying for the halfti whistle now]

Overtoom’s corner kick bent sharply into the heart of the penalty area, where the defense once again flinched in anticipation of the inevitable.

[Here it cos—] the co-comntator’s voice was tight, the tension building.

The ball curled in, cutting through the air like a missile.

SC Veendam’s defenders were already stretching to the limit, scrambling to position themselves, but it was clear they were overwheld.

Mulder, ever the warrior of his team during dire tis, rose once more, desperate to clear the danger.

Haye, though, had other plans. His head connected with the ball, sending it rocketing toward goal.

CLANG!!!

[Oh, my word!] Mike gasped. [That was inches away! Haye’s header almost made it six! But the woodwork denies him!]

The crowd’s collective breath caught as the ball ricocheted off the bar, spinning wildly into the air.

[So close! Haye must be kicking himself right now,] the co-comntator said, his voice tinged with disbelief.

The ball fell at Beerens’ feet in the right side of the 18 yard box, and within an instant, he was off—his eyes never leaving the ball. He struck it with everything he had, sending a bullet of a shot flying toward the net.

[This is it—] Mike started, his voice rising in anticipation.

The ball was nearly past Nienhuis before the goalkeeper could even react. It zipped toward the bottom corner, a perfect strike. But as fate would have it, the ball clipped the post and bounced straight out.

[Not again!] the co-comntator laughed in disbelief. [Beerens hits the post this ti! He’s been inches away twice now!]

But AZ Alkmaar weren’t done. As the ball spun free, Guðmundsson picked it up and quickly slid it into the path of Adam who was just outside the 18 yard box.

Without wasting a second, Adam played a return pass to Beerens, but before the winger could shoot, a desperate block from Jan Korthuis kept SC Veendam’s defense alive for a mont longer.

[What a block from Jan Korthuis!] Mike shouted. [He’s joined Mulder in doing everything they can to hold AZ Alkmaar off, but they just keep coming!]

Beerens, frustrated by the miss quickly put on a determined expression and imdiately recycled the ball. He laid it off to Jóhannsson, who wasted no ti in attempting to unleash a powerful shot from the edge of the 18 yard box.

But as he pulled the trigger—

A deflection from Adam’s dodging shin sent the ball spiraling into the air, completely changing its direction.

The shot which was now harmless due to the deflection, hit the goalpost once again.
