Chapter 506: Chapter 367: The World Beast Tar Competition
The surrounding was an unfamiliar environnt, but the sweltering heat confird for Chen Xing that he was still in the Fentian Region.
It wasn’t the sa location he had entered from but rather on the other side of the Divine Country.
The Divine Country was situated at the border between the Great Xia Region and the Fentian Region. They had entered from an entrance on the Great Xia side, so this should be the border on the other side belonging to the Fentian Region.
An empty wilderness stretched out, and save for the Divine Country, which extended as far as the eye could see, there was nothing else.
Picking up the Authority Staff, Chen Xing prepared to place it into his Storage Ornant.
But after two seconds, the staff still lay solidly in his hand.
“It can’t be put into the Storage Ornant?”
Chen Xing pondered for a mont and felt it made sense; after all, the Ascension Beast Tar from the Eagle Federation had carried the staff on his person after using it and hadn’t placed it into his Storage Ornant. It seed that Divine Artifacts couldn’t be stored in Storage Ornants.
That apparently was one way to identify a Divine Artifact.
Suddenly, Chen Xing thought of the Gourt Space.
Since it couldn’t be stored in a Storage Ornant, he still had the Gourt Space.
The Gourt Space could store living things, unlike common Storage Ornants. To Chen Xing’s understanding, the Gourt Space was a separate small world on its own.
Since it could contain life, it ant that this world had the concept of ti, akin to a small world independent from the main plane.
With a thought, the next second the Authority Staff disappeared from his palm and appeared inside the Gourt Space, not overly large.
The mont it appeared, the Authority Staff began to lt away…
Inside, countless colorful lights intertwined, among which faint, intricate runes could be discerned.
When Chen Xing tried to take a closer look, the runes vanished in a flash.
A few seconds later, the Authority Staff was completely gone.
The Stone Book floated in front of him automatically, its pages flipping open to reveal words erging on a blank page.
[Spatial Authority has been absorbed, Gourt Space area expanded, activating new feature — Pathway Open]
[Pathway Open: You can open a pathway within any area of the Gourt Space, which can connect to the main plane]
“The Gourt Space can now open a passage to the main plane? But it doesn’t seem very significant, because even without opening a passage, I can still pull living things into it,” Chen Xing murmured to himself, but he felt there must be more to it than just that.
After a mont of thought, Chen Xing’s eyes brightened.
He understood.
The pathway could be left open permanently, allowing him access to the Gourt Space without having to do it manually every ti.
Moreover, if handled correctly, the Gourt Space could be disguised as a small world, a Secret Realm, or similar places to lure others in.
Of course, this idea wasn’t very scientific.
Chen Xing just thought about it and quickly dismissed it.
The most significant purpose of the Gourt Space for now was to carry living creatures and resources, like a Demon Eagle that hadn’t signed a contract with him but could still be carried along.
It also could store various resources and even grow food, making it self-sufficient.
Although Storage Ornants could also hold resources, they were ultimately external items.
Anything external could be lost.
Only the Gourt Space was truly his own.
If crucial monts arise when Storage Ornants are lost, the Gourt Space could be a backup support.
Moreover, being able to open the pathway implied that he himself could enter it.
If ever in danger, he could even hide inside it.
Now that the Gourt Space had absorbed the Authority Staff, its functions had expanded. Chen Xing still rembered what the Stone Book’s pages displayed; it had absorbed Spatial Authority.
Did that an that to further evolve the Gourt Space, more Spatial Authorities were needed?
If he wasn’t mistaken, Authority was a powerful force belonging only to deities…
But the staff was an item of the Eagle Federation. He had not anticipated it to be absorbed when placed into the Gourt Space, and now with the item gone, he wondered how to explain it when he returned.
While Chen Xing was contemplating, sounds ca from the forest behind.
The sounds drifted with the wind into Chen Xing’s ears.
“It’s up ahead, a vast forest; they say the Divine Country lies beyond it.”
“Dad, there’s soone over there, got here before us.”
“Looks like a person from Great Xia.”
Behind them, a massive Qing Yan Sea Eagle landed on a mountaintop.
Four figures were on the back of the Sea Eagle.
Three n and one woman, two mature Beast Tars who seed to share a resemblance, looking like a set of brothers. The other two younger Beast Tars, a man and a woman, looked like childhood sweethearts, holding hands.
In the Exotic Region, many Beast Tars operate in families or household units, and typically those going out on adventures are related by blood.
Chen Xing looked back and noticed the wariness in the four people’s gazes as they watched him.
He could understand, given the recent war that had erupted between Great Xia and Fentian Giant City.
It had made the relationship between the common people of both sides quite hostile.
However, it was all temporary; once Fentian Giant City was fully conquered, there would surely be great scholars to debate for Great Xia.
Reverting his attention, Chen Xing summoned Sìxiàng, leaped onto its shoulder, and then Sìxiàng turned into a ray of light, vanishing from the spot.
Elsewhere, outside the Divine Country at a temporary gathering place.
The crowd that had co out from inside was now gathering here.
“Have we still not found any trace of Chen Xing?” Qiu Shangqing looked solemn.
“No, we’ve searched the surrounding areas, and even asked the Dragon Clan. They said he was kept by the spirit of the Divine Country.”
“If the spirit of the Divine Country is still there, does that an the deities inside are still alive?” Qiu Shangqing spoke.
Just then, Qin Yun’s elated voice ca from outside the tent.
