Chapter 48: Shaking what? Because I have to pee

“The House of the Martial King…”

“Don’t worry, it’s the sa when you finish the work on your hands,” Wu Ping reassured as he spoke.

Wu Qi promptly rested his long sword on the shoulder of the man at the next table, questioning in a cold tone, “What are you shaking for?” The man, on the verge of tears, had just finished his al and found himself in the company of the notorious demon and evil double star. He overheard their conversation and considered leaving but feared provoking the two reputed murderous individuals. Desperately trying to avoid trouble, he stamred, “I need to pee.”

“Why are you still shaking then?” Wu Ping chid in, causing the man’s pants to instantly beco wet in his line of sight.

Seeing the man’s unfortunate state, Wu Qi dismissed the situation, saying, “Forget it, forget it. He’s probably scared enough. Let’s go.”

The sll of urine lingered, rendering the surrounding patrons unable to continue their als. Wu Qi cast a disdainful glance at the man, remarking with disgust, “Waste, you’re quite courageous.”

As the duo left, the relieved man wiped cold sweat from his forehead, only to realise that he had inadvertently sat in his own urine. In the Demon City, forrly known as Golden Sect, Wu Ping and Wu Qi ventured toward the gates. Each wearing a mask, they entered the city that had erged after an earthquake sank a piece of land thousands of years ago. The Demon City teed with diverse individuals, from sellers of peculiar items to formidable rcenaries.

Fascinated by the surroundings, Wu Ping approached a small vendor and inquired, “Boss, most of these items seem genuine. Why not conduct your business inside a shop instead of setting up a stall? It seems troubleso this way.”

The masked vendor, noticing the masks worn by Wu Ping and Wu Qi, responded amicably, “Your Excellency seems to be new to this ghost market, right?”

“Yes, it’s my first ti here.”

“Ah, that explains it. The shops here are quite unscrupulous. You’ll only get 50% of the market price if you take your items to them. It’s not worth it. Setting up your own stall is a better option if you’re not in a hurry.”

“50%?” Wu Ping grumbled inwardly, realising the less-than-favourable terms. “It’s really dark.”

Wu Ping had hoped to sell his items for a fair price to acquire more spirit stones for the magic tree, but the prospect of receiving only half the value was disheartening. Determined to support the magic tree, he reluctantly set up his own stall, emphasising the importance of spirit stones in his life. No need for formalities.

Puff!

A display of cloth towels. Setting up a stall was nothing extraordinary. Wu Ping had set up nurous stalls to cover his tuition in his previous life. Blood-stained magic weapon manuals were laid out, and Wu Qi sat beside him, engrossed in studying his diary.

Wu Ping shouted, “Everyone passing by, take a look! Premium demonic weapons, both dium-grade and low-grade, all top-notch. They’re brand new, blood-stained, and co with soul rings. Today, enjoy a 10% discount. The dium-grade immortal sword magic weapon is yours for just one hundred spirit stones. No deceptive pricing!”

With just that shout, nurous eyes turned their way. It was a rare sight for dium-grade demonic weapons to grace a market stall. Typically, such items were exclusive to the powerful in the soul realm, carefully hidden away. Observing the goods more closely, people began recognising their origins. Whispers filled the air.

“Baishan Post, He Baishan’s signature move?”

“The Mountain Viewing and Spitting Technique, Mountain Worshipping Sect’s secret technique!”

“Isn’t that sword He Baishan’s Baishan Sword?”

“Yes, it’s the mountain-worshiping sword.”

“And the conjoined He Shou, bought by He Baishan at last year’s Gold rchant Auction.”

Instantly, the identity of the stall owner and the man reading the diary beside him beca apparent. Wu Ping and Wu Qi, the Demon and Evil Double Stars from the Blood Rain Sect, were unmistakable.

“Demon and Evil Twin Stars! Wu Ping! Wu Qi!”

“They’re Wu Ping and Wu Qi from the Blood Rain Sect!”

“Heard rumours about them recently but didn’t expect to see them in person!”

“That rich, bloody evil aura truly fits the Blood Rain Sect’s demon and evil double star. Yet, it feels chilling up close!”

“But facing them in person, my hands itch. I fear they might suddenly erupt into violence…”

Despite wanting to purchase the enticing items, potential buyers hesitated due to the recent destruction of the Baishan Sect by Wu Ping and Wu Qi. Witnesses described the area around Baishan Sect as almost obliterated, resembling hell on earth. The two were now shalessly peddling Baishan Sect’s secret techniques.

Upon hearing the speculations about their identity, Wu Ping sighed. Was it so easy to conceal themselves? What was the point of wearing masks?

“Forget the masks. I recognise you anyway,” Wu Ping declared, removing his mask. In his calm style, Wu Qi flung his mask sowhere, saying, “Masks are a bit dull.”

With a grin, Wu Ping rose and proclaid, “Since everyone recognises us, there is no need for pretence. I’m Wu Ping. These items are all from the Baishan Sect. Today, I’m not a magic star but a businessman. Act quickly if you want to buy. The prices are fair!”

“Look at this sword, razor-sharp. I nearly cut my hand using it. Check out this secret technique—no harm in buying. And this son-in-law conjoined head, a lifesaving elixir at a reasonable price. Don’t hesitate, make your move!”
