When Shi Yaoguang arrived, the innate power within Shi Ruhong’s body had been almost completely drained.

Shi Yiqing was startled to see Shi Yaoguang and Quan Jinbei suddenly appear there.

"How did you get here?"

She didn’t know that Shi Yaoguang was not an ordinary person.

At first glance, seeing Shi Yaoguang suddenly show up, she was naturally filled with doubt.

Shi Yaoguang glanced at her, indifferently said, "Just passing by."

"Passing by? Who are you trying to fool!" Shi Yiqing felt insulted.

Anyone with a brain wouldn’t believe what she said, right?

All in all, it was definitely impossible for Shi Yaoguang to be just passing by here.

After all, one simply couldn’t enter this deep forest without so capability.

Not to ntion, being able to find this place so accurately.

Shi Yaoguang faced Shi Yiqing’s skeptical gaze and casually said, "Fooled you."

Shi Yiqing: "..."

Her face flushed with anger, "Shi Yaoguang, don’t push too far!"

"How have I bullied you?" Shi Yaoguang said, shaking her head with a look of helplessness, "You’re an adult now, you can’t be so sensitive and vulnerable."

As she spoke, Shi Yaoguang’s gaze swept over and settled on Shi Ruhong, whose pupils were dilated.

"By the way, this must be my uncle whom I’ve never t before, huh? Tsk, why does he look so overly ravaged? It couldn’t be that you—"

She dragged out her words, sizing up Shi Yiqing from top to bottom before saying, "It couldn’t be that you did sothing to him, right?"

Shi Yiqing felt sowhat guilty, but she stiffly retorted, "What could I do to him?"

Shi Yaoguang continued, "Although uncle is a bit old, he’s not bad-looking. I can understand if you have unusual tastes; after all, being unscrupulous to climb up the ladder is your style."

Shi Yiqing scowled, "What nonsense are you talking about? He’s my dad!"

"How could I possibly do anything to my dad?"

"Are you sure?" Shi Yaoguang’s expression was still full of doubt, "Looking at him like this, he doesn’t seem to be unaffected."

"You didn’t do anything to his body, who knows if you’ve tampered with sothing else?"

Shi Yiqing grew even more defensive, yet still stoutly denied, "What could I do to him? Stop spouting nonsense."

As she spoke, she looked pleadingly at Shang Minghao, who had been silent the entire ti, "Mr. Shang, you’re just going to watch her slander like this?"

Confronted with her plaintive look, Shang Minghao paused for a mont, then countered, "Or what?"

Shi Yiqing’s face darkened, "Mr. Shang!"

She yelled out, her gaze filling with deeper reproach, "Have you been bewitched by her? What’s so good about her? Don’t forget, she’s soone else’s woman, and moreover, you’re enemies!"

Listening to her remind him as if she were pointing out the obvious, Shang Minghao’s response was very nonchalant.

He just responded with a mild "Hmm."

This ambiguous reaction left Shi Yiqing unable to decipher his thoughts.

"Mr. Shang, what exactly are you thinking?" She deserved at least a clear answer!

Shi Yiqing had firmly believed that Shang Minghao was on her side.

But now...

Heh.

She couldn’t believe it.

Why was Shi Yaoguang here?

It had been quite troubleso to co to this place, and she didn’t believe Shi Yaoguang could find it without being inford.

Her saying "just passing by," couldn’t it be that Shang Minghao did it on purpose?

The thought made her heart sink instantly.

No, it couldn’t be.

It just couldn’t.

She wouldn’t be fooled.

She definitely wouldn’t!

Shi Yiqing psyched herself up with various ntal assertions, and when she looked at Shi Yaoguang again, her gaze carried a few more hints of contempt.

"Don’t think you can misguide by deliberately saying these things, I’m telling you, I won’t believe you."

She huffed disdainfully, "Trying to deceive ? No chance!"

Upon seeing this, Shi Yaoguang just shrugged her shoulders, "When have I ever deceived you?"

"I have absolutely no relations with your Mr. Shang," she said, lifting the hand that was intertwined with Quan Jinbei’s fingers, "See clearly, he’s the one I am involved with."

Shi Yiqing snorted, "Pretending not to care on the surface, who knows if you’re not coveting..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Quan Jinbei interrupted her.

"You’re saying my wife is coveting him? Coveting what? Coveting his age, coveting his tiny, shabby company? Or coveting his poor taste, singling you out among thousands?"

As Quan Jinbei spoke, he looked dismissively over Shang Minghao.

The disdain was apparent for all to see.

Shang Minghao’s face darkened, "Why must you say things with the intention to belittle others?"

"Putting others down to elevate yourself is not what a gentleman does."

Quan Jinbei let out a sneer, "Putting others down to elevate oneself is indeed not what a gentleman does, but... I don’t recall ever claiming to be a gentleman, did I?"

Shang Minghao: "..."

Shi Yiqing: "..."

Quan Jinbei continued, "Even if I were a gentleman, I have no need to give way to you."

"You, you’re not worthy."

Belittling?

What he was saying was nothing but the truth!

Witnessing Quan Jinbei’s clear scorn, Shang Minghao burst into a furious laugh.

"Nothing but a smooth talker."

Quan Jinbei curved his lips into a smile, "I wonder if Mr. Shang has slled the sourness spreading in the air?"

"Tsk." He shook his head, an expression of helplessness on his face, "It’s truly hard to accept."

Shang Minghao: "..."

Damn!

Don’t think he couldn’t tell—Quan Jinbei was mocking him as a jealous person.

Although...

He was indeed feeling jealous.

But was that sothing he could openly admit?

Of course not!

Admitting his jealousy would be more unbearable than death.

No matter what, he could never concede that.

Thinking this, he put on airs, assuming a contemptuous expression, and snorted coldly, "Who’s jealous? Don’t project your filthy thoughts onto ."

Quan Jinbei raised an eyebrow, saying nothing.

Even though he didn’t say a word, his attitude was clear as day.

Shang Minghao was furious, but there was nothing he could do about it.

After all, you can’t control what others say, and no matter how disagreeable, he couldn’t change anything.

If he couldn’t change it, then...

Why keep dwelling on that point?

What’s the use in entangling himself any further?

There was no need.

That’s what he thought.

So, he simply gave up on the idea of continuing to bicker with Quan Jinbei.

Instead, he questioned Shi Yaoguang, "Why are you here?"

Shi Yaoguang looked innocently around, "This place... am I not allowed to co here?"

She said, looking around and scratching her head, "There aren’t any landmark buildings nearby to indicate that this place is Mr. Shang’s territory, right?"

"Since this isn’t Mr. Shang’s private property, it seems he has no say whether I co or not, right?"

Indeed, Shang Minghao had no say in it.

But, he couldn’t swallow his pride.

"Did you deliberately follow ?" he asked with certainty, though it was phrased as a question.

Shi Yaoguang flatly denied it, "Mr. Shang, you’re wrongly accusing . Why on earth would I follow you? Besides, what good would following you do?"
