Shi Yaoguang was indeed taken aback when she heard this.
The Diviner said she knew who wanted to deal with Shi Yaoguang and could even co forward as a witness.
This was sowhat beyond Shi Yaoguang’s expectations.
Upon seeing Shi Yaoguang’s interest in the topic, Aili quietly breathed a sigh of relief and then shared what she knew.
"Just after we entered the wasteland, a mysterious figure found ," she said, pausing for a mont. "The person was wearing a bamboo hat and a cloak, hiding themselves tightly. I couldn’t even tell their gender."
Shi Yaoguang’s eyes narrowed. "So you’re saying you don’t know anything?"
Upon hearing this, Aili hurriedly shook her head in denial, "No, no, no, I do know sothing!"
"Oh?"
"Even though I don’t know the mysterious person’s gender or who they are, I know where they ca from."
Shi Yaoguang didn’t believe this at all.
How could Aili know where the mysterious person ca from if she didn’t even know their gender? This was clearly a blatant lie.
Aili was eager to defend herself, "I really do know this! This is our Diviners’ innate talent!"
"Diviners’ innate talent?" Shi Yaoguang’s eyes shifted, still skeptical. "I don’t seem to recall Diviners having any particular talents."
Hearing this, Aili instinctively wanted to retort, "You’re not a Diviner, how would you know what talents a Diviner has?"
But she quickly changed her mind.
Of course, she didn’t dare to say that out loud.
After all...
She rembered clearly the scene where Shi Yaoguang easily summoned the Card Spirit.
The Card Spirit... that was a skill at least an eight-star Diviner could possess.
Seeing how effortlessly Shi Yaoguang managed it, it was clear that her level as a Diviner had already surpassed eight stars.
In such a scenario, mocking soone for not understanding the Diviner profession was obviously not a wise choice.
With this self-awareness, Aili dared not say much and could only honestly share what she knew.
"When I was out on my training journey, my family gave a Magical Treasure for tracking. That mysterious person appeared so suddenly."
"They appeared before when no one else noticed, or rather... no one else could even see the mysterious figure, which made feel very anxious."
"I didn’t know what the person suddenly appearing was aiming for and was worried that they might plot against , which is why I made that decision."
Listening to her explain how she had cast the tracking charm on the mysterious person, Shi Yaoguang’s trust in her grew a little stronger.
However, that wasn’t enough, she needed to know where exactly the mysterious person had co from.
Only when that question was answered would she completely believe what Aili said.
Not daring to play any tricks, Aili could only honestly tell what she knew.
"My tracking charm told that the person went to the Southern land," she said.
Shi Yaoguang narrowed her eyes. "The Southern land?"
Aili nodded. "This is true, I dare not lie to you, you could squash with a flick of your finger," she said.
The remark hit the mark.
But Shi Yaoguang still had a question.
"According to what you said, you saw the mysterious person after you entered the wasteland, and you cast the tracking charm after seeing them. In that case, how did you know they went to the Southern land?"
"Or are you saying that they just went southward and you’re exaggerating?"
Aili shook her head vigorously, as if her abilities were being affronted, her face flushing red. "I’m not exaggerating at all! Everything I’ve said is true!"
Her tone was sowhat urgent, clearly not wanting to be misunderstood.
"The reason I knew he went to the extre south is that after he disappeared from in front of , the tracking technique detected his location there," she said, still shaken by the mory, unsure what kind of person would possess such unfathomable abilities.
"Teleport Technique, I’ve only read about it in legends—yet that mysterious person could do it effortlessly. I suspect he might not be human," Aili finished, casting a hopeful glance at Shi Yaoguang, seeking her agreent with eyes that pleaded for validation.
Unfortunately,
Shi Yaoguang did not confirm her speculations, leaving her sowhat disheartened.
"Master Shi, don’t you think so?" She had thought that with Shi Yaoguang’s capabilities, she would understand more clearly that teleporting from Mobei to the extre south was not sothing a human could achieve.
But Shi Yaoguang interpreted it differently.
She had originally assud that Aili’s significant change was because of the Heavenly Dao.
Now, it seed there was more to the story.
Her gaze caught the longsword that had sohow fallen to the ground, which Aili had just attempted to use to harm her.
Shi Yaoguang certainly hadn’t forgotten that the longsword had appeared suddenly.
Aili wasn’t supposed to have a space.
If she didn’t, then it was impossible that she had taken the longsword out of one.
Therefore, the sudden appearance of the weapon was quite intriguing.
Confronted with her nacing gaze, Aili confessed honestly.
"This longsword was the weapon given to by that mysterious person."
Shi Yaoguang narrowed her eyes and inquired, "When did he give it to you, how did he do it? And how did you conceal it?"
Before a barrage of questions, Aili’s expression turned sowhat resentful, "Can’t you ask a bit slower?"
Shi Yaoguang frowned, "Do you have an objection?"
Aili, facing her clearly dissatisfied look, dared not voice any objections and hastily denied, "I have no objections."
Continuing, she sulked, "About this longsword, I really don’t know how the mysterious person gave it to . He told that as soon as I harbored a killing intention towards you, the longsword would naturally appear."
"At the ti, I didn’t believe what he said, but..." she spoke, a tinge of regret still visible in her eyes.
And distaste.
Yes, Aili felt disdain for that longsword.
She had thought it was a lethal weapon, and by drawing it, she could kill Shi Yaoguang and reign supre.
But in the end, she turned into a joke.
And how could she not feel bitter about it?
Shi Yaoguang had no sympathy for her.
Facing her frustrated countenance, she simply snorted coldly, "You had better not be deceiving , otherwise... I have plenty of ways to deal with you."
At this point, how could Aili dare say anything?
She agreed right away, "I really haven’t lied to you, I swear, if I’m hiding anything, then..."
"Then what?"
"I shall not die a good death!" Aili declared, appearing as though she had made a significant promise.
Shi Yaoguang glanced at her and disregarded her.
Seeing her turn to leave, Aili’s eyes filled with ecstasy.
But just then, Shi Yaoguang turned back, giving her a chilled look, her tone carrying a hint of threat, "Don’t be so pleased with yourself too soon—I haven’t said I would let you go."
Upon hearing this, Aili’s expression froze.
She looked at Shi Yaoguang incredulously, her face etched with feelings of betrayal.
