"Master, sothing’s wrong!"

Shi Yaoguang had left the taphysics Organization less than half an hour before when she received a call from Shen Antai.

Once the call connected, Shen Antai’s anxious voice ca through.

"What’s going on?" she asked.

Shen Antai recounted what had happened after she left, then concluded, "Xiaoya fainted, and Elder An couldn’t figure out why. Master, can you co over and take a look at her?"

Shi Yaoguang thought for a mont before responding, "I’ll be right there."

Shen Antai quickly agreed, and upon seeing this, Chairman An asked, "What did Master Shi say?"

Shen Antai relayed that Shi Yaoguang was coming. He stroked his chin, a look of doubt on his face, "Chairman An, what could have caused Xiaoya to suddenly faint like that?"

Chairman An shook his head gravely, his gaze carefully scanning over the magic artifacts scattered on the ground, eventually settling on an ancient-looking sphere.

Nobody knew what material the sphere was made from, but it exuded a mysterious aura, all in all.

Chairman An watched it for a while but couldn’t discern anything special about it.

All he could do was anxiously wait for Shi Yaoguang’s arrival.

Fortunately, she didn’t keep them waiting too long.

After about fifteen minutes, she reappeared.

Seeing her, Chairman An imdiately went to greet her.

"Master Shi, please co and see what’s wrong with Xiaoya. She was perfectly fine, how could she have suddenly fainted..."

Shi Yaoguang sat down beside An Xiaoya, reached out to feel her pulse, and carefully checked it.

After observing, she ca to a conclusion, "Xiaoya will be fine."

"She will be fine?" Chairman An sounded incredulous, "Then why did she faint?"

Shi Yaoguang’s gaze was fixed purposefully on the culprit...

Hmm, a sphere.

Seeing that her gaze also fell on the sphere, Chairman An knew his speculation was correct.

Just that he didn’t know what the deal with this sphere was.

Shi Yaoguang looked at him and said coolly, "I need a favor, Chairman An..."

Chairman An didn’t wait for her to finish and quickly picked up the sphere, handing it to Shi Yaoguang, "Master Shi, for you."

Shi Yaoguang glanced at the sphere with a hint of disdain in her voice, "This thing, we should just throw it away."

Chairman An was taken aback, "Throw, throw it away?"

Shen Antai also had an astonished expression, seemingly not understanding what she ant.

Shi Yaoguang had to say it again, "Just throw it away."

Chairman An: "Would that really be okay?"

Although it wasn’t clear how the sphere was made, it was evident that it was no ordinary object.

Wouldn’t it be a pity to throw away such a thing?

Shi Yaoguang knew what he was thinking and imdiately said, without haste, "This object is what caused Xiaoya to faint."

Upon hearing this, Chairman An’s hand trembled.

Knowing that the sphere had hard his granddaughter made Chairman An no longer feel it was a pity.

It was simply a scourge; what was there to regret in throwing it away?

Thinking this, Chairman An brought the sphere close to his mouth, breathed on it, and said, "Watch, I’ll throw you far away so you can’t harm anyone else!"

Just as he finished speaking, he realized that the sphere in his hand seed to be getting hot.

Thinking it was just his imagination, he muttered "Strange" under his breath and was about to proceed.

The temperature of the sphere rose again, and this ti, he no longer treated it as an accident.

He stared at the sphere in disbelief, "This, this..."

He turned to Shi Yaoguang, seeking help, "Master Shi, what should we do now?"

"It’s getting hot!"

Shi Yaoguang spoke indifferently, "If you want it, keep it; if not, throw it away."

Upon hearing this, President An still felt conflicted.

This object could heat up by itself; one glance and anyone could tell it was no ordinary item.

But, it had just hard his granddaughter, which made him feel rather uncomfortable.

No way.

An object that could harm people, even if it was a treasure, had to be discarded.

Just as President An had made up his mind, he heard Shi Yaoguang say leisurely, "President An, this object..."

President An’s heart tightened, and he quickly asked, "What about it?"

"If you want it, you can keep it," Shi Yaoguang replied.

President An was sowhat surprised, "Keep it?"

Shi Yaoguang nodded.

President An hesitated, "Is it really okay to keep it?"

Shi Yaoguang said, "Although it’s not anything good, it... still has small uses."

President An asked, "What uses could it possibly have?"

His tone was full of hesitation.

The spherical object he held seed to be dissatisfied, its temperature rising instantly.

It was hot enough to burn President An’s hand.

Seeing this, Shi Yaoguang said again, "It seems to be a master that won’t listen; since that’s the case, it’s better to throw it away."

President An nodded hurriedly, and at that mont, the temperature of the object in his hand began to decrease again.

President An: "..."

He was nearing his wit’s end with indecision.

To keep it, or to discard it?

Master Shi wouldn’t give a clear indication.

While he was conflicted, An Xiaoya woke up.

Seeing her awake, President An imdiately went to her, "Xiaoya, you’re awake!"

Upon waking up, An Xiaoya looked at Master Shi and her expression was montarily blank, "...Grandpa?"

President An nodded vigorously, "Do you realize you suddenly fainted just now? You scared to death."

Seeing his reaction, An Xiaoya hurriedly reassured him, "Don’t worry, Grandpa. I’m fine, I... I just had a dream."

"A dream?" President An was sowhat on guard; it was evident he didn’t believe she had rely had a simple dream.

There were surely other hidden details.

As expected.

An Xiaoya continued, "The dream I had felt very real."

"It was as if... it was sothing that had happened."

She said, then shook her head, "I should say, it’s sothing that might happen in the future, but I’m a bit confused."

An Xiaoya looked at Shi Yaoguang, her eyes filled with doubt, "Master Shi, in the dream I had, there was no difference from the life I lived in the past decade or so, until... I t you."

"Last ti, it was you who helped . If it hadn’t been for you, I might have followed the devilish plot from my dream."

As she spoke, she hugged herself, her eyes reflecting fear, "I can hardly imagine what the end would be like for if things developed as they did in the dream."

Seeing his granddaughter like this, President An’s heart also sank, "Xiaoya, what exactly is the dream you speak of?"

An Xiaoya steadied her emotions before she spoke to President An, "In the dream, after I encountered danger, you tried everything but couldn’t save . For my sake, you even... even lost your life."

"Later, when my life was hanging by a thread, I was possessed by the Ghost King..."

Upon hearing this, President An’s face imdiately grew tense, "What did you say? Possessed by the Ghost King?"

An Xiaoya nodded vigorously, her voice trembling, "I... Not only was I possessed by the Ghost King, but it seed he also bewitched to do many wrong things to help him reincarnate... I dare not imagine what consequences my actions would have brought!"
