You Slept With Him?

“I don’t know him?”

An Luo Yi was baffled. She had always been a woman with a strong sense of control, and being treated like an outsider in this situation was clearly not sitting well with her.

And now, this Junior Sister Ranyue had the audacity to smugly claim that she didn’t understand He Ange?

Wasn’t this an outright provocation?

Narrowing her cold eyes, the silver-haired fairy’s expression turned frosty. If she weren’t so curious about the “secret” between Xia Ranyue and He Ange, she would’ve dismissed this brazen little fox long ago.

Calm down, she told herself. It’s just an outsider—a little fox spirit. What kind of secret could she possibly share with He Ange? Most likely, she’s just bluffing.

Letting her mood be affected by this girl wasn’t worth it.

With that thought, An Luo Yi steadied herself, calming her emotions as she responded with a faint, cold smile:

“I’ve known He Ange since we were nine years old. By now, we’ve been childhood friends for ten years. What part of him could I possibly not understand?”

Her tone carried a hint of pride. In the face of a true childhood connection, what did a re junior sister amount to?

Xia Ranyue listened, initially confused, but soon realized she was being treated as a romantic rival.

An Luo Yi was staking her claim!

“If you’ve been childhood friends for ten years, then surely you know that Junior Brother He spent the night in my bed the day before yesterday, right?”

As a fox demon, Xia Ranyue couldn’t resist firing back.

She could’ve chosen to avoid the confrontation, stepping back to avoid further suspicion.

But she didn’t.

She couldn’t stand An Luo Yi flaunting her ten-year bond with He Ange as if it were sothing unshakable.

Childhood friends? So what?

Did she really think she could outmatch a fox demon when it ca to charming n?

“Y-You slept together?”

Xia Ranyue’s words shattered An Luo Yi’s composure. Even with her usual icy deanor, her expression visibly faltered.

The silver-haired fairy’s cold gaze darkened, her lips tightening as she bit back her frustration.

He Ange was hers. How could sothing that belonged to her be touched by soone else?

“That’s right. We trained late into the night, and Junior Brother He was so tired that he fell asleep in my arms. I couldn’t bear to leave him outside alone, so I let him rest in my embrace for the night,” Xia Ranyue said sweetly, resting her chin on her hand with a playful smile.

Her tone was pure green tea, dripping with faux innocence.

Under normal circumstances, anyone daring to act so brazenly would’ve been cut down by An Luo Yi without hesitation.

But not now.

In this ga of wits, whoever lost their temper first would lose. And losing her cool would only make An Luo Yi look even worse.

For now, the silver-haired fairy’s icy gaze grew colder, her eyes flashing with suppressed anger. anwhile, the fox demoness didn’t back down, her enchanting smile carrying a hint of provocation.

The two won locked eyes, their unspoken tension spreading across the area like frost.

Not far away, a white-robed youth returning ho looked utterly bewildered.

As his footsteps drew closer, both won turned to look at him, their gazes filled with barely concealed fury.

Caught in the crossfire of their icy stares, He Ange broke out in a cold sweat.

But don’t worry—he’d seen worse.

If he could handle the likes of Feng Yuan and Qin Shiyan, his master-level bosses, surely he could manage the anger of two senior sisters.

Not that he wasn’t nervous—he just knew panicking wouldn’t help.

“Good morning, Senior Sisters!”

Plastering on a smile, He Ange mustered his courage and walked toward them.

The white-robed youth approached the two won with a natural expression, his smile bright and carefree. Even though Xia Ranyue and An Luo Yi’s glares could practically pierce through him, he maintained the deanor of an oblivious, cheerful boy.

The icy tension hung in the air until Xia Ranyue finally broke the silence.

She had co here to confront He Ange about the recordings from last night. But now, after being provoked by An Luo Yi, her patience had worn thin.

If anyone was to bla for her current misfortune, it was none other than this shaless scumbag!

“He Ange, where were you last night?”

Grabbing him by the collar, Xia Ranyue demanded, “Tell the truth—did you spend the night at so flashy, gaudy place flirting with won? Don’t think I don’t know—I know exactly what kind of person you are!”

With her pouty lips and suspicious glare, the fox demoness looked both adorable and exasperated.

“Junior Sister Ranyue, what nonsense are you talking about? I was in my dorm last night. I just went out this morning to grab so grilled flatbread,” He Ange said, feigning innocence.

Even with his collar in her grip, he maintained a confused expression, as if he had no idea what she was accusing him of.

He had no choice. With An Luo Yi standing right there, there was no way he could admit to sneaking out.

But Xia Ranyue wasn’t fooled. She could see through his act—this scoundrel was playing dumb! He was still pretending, even now! He must’ve been a born actor in his past life!

Honestly, Xia Ranyue wanted nothing more than to smack him with a brick and teach him a lesson.

But she knew she wasn’t exactly in a position to criticize. As a fox demon known for her charm, did she really have the right to judge soone else?

Still, his shalessness was infuriating!

“Junior Sister Ranyue, I don’t know what’s going on, but you’re being unreasonable,” He Ange said, his gaze calm as he t hers.

In that brief mont, his eyes conveyed a wealth of unspoken aning.

Xia Ranyue felt as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over her, instantly cooling her temper.

She released his collar, hesitating as if she wanted to say sothing. But rembering their agreent from that night, she swallowed her words.

Losing her temper would only an losing the upper hand.

That was an unchanging truth.

No matter how angry she was or how much dirt she had on He Ange, they were ultimately two sides of the sa coin. She was a fox, and he was a dog. If she exposed his secrets, her own would be revealed as well.

That’s right.

When dealing with a scumbag, you couldn’t afford to lose your composure!

Taking a deep breath, Xia Ranyue replaced her anger with a sweet, charming smile.

“Sorry, Junior Brother He. I got a little carried away earlier. Please don’t take it to heart.”

“It’s fine, Senior Sister. You’ve always taken care of . How could I hold a grudge over sothing so small?” He Ange replied with a gentle smile, his tone warm and forgiving.

The two of them, both skilled in deception, appeared as harmonious as ever.

Just as He Ange began to relax, Xia Ranyue spoke again, catching him off guard.

“By the way, there’s an inner sect trial in the secret realm next month. Would you be interested in teaming up with , Junior Brother He?”

Her bright eyes sparkled with sincerity as she extended the invitation.

For a mont, He Ange’s smile froze. He stared at Xia Ranyue, unsure of what sche this fox demoness was plotting.

“Junior Brother He, you wouldn’t abandon after I sacrificed so much to help you reach Foundation Establishnt, would you?” she added, batting her lashes with a playful smile.
