Yongfeng Building, 16th floor, Section E.

Tang Caide and Chen Jinchun were unpacking boxes, surrounded by piles of cardboard, with brand-new computers and printers on the table.

Chen Jinchun chattered like a magpie, sharing snippets of life.

Tang Caide sotis smiled, sotis nodded, and they got along very well.

When they saw Lu Liang coming over, they stopped chatting.

Lu Liang said with a smile, "Keep talking, relax, it's just the three of us in the office, no need to be so formal."

Tang Caide took out a purchase order and invoice, "Mr. Lu, two more computers will be delivered this afternoon."

Lu Liang nodded slightly and looked at the ti, "Have you eaten lunch yet?"

Chen Jinchun exclaid, "It's almost 12:30."

Lu Liang took out so dishes he had bought on the way, "Let's eat and rest a bit before we continue working."

"Thanks for feeding us, Mr. Lu~"

Chen Jinchun said devoutly, putting her hands together.

Lu Liang and Tang Caide exchanged glances, both with smiles.

Indeed, hiring fresh graduates did bring a vibrant atmosphere to the office.

The three gathered around the office table to eat.

Lu Liang ntioned investing five million in a movie, "This afternoon, Mr. Zhang from Mahua will co. Tang, prepare a bit beforehand, you'll handle the handover."

"Mr. Lu, is there anything particular I need to pay attention to?"

Tang Caide put down her chopsticks and took out a notepad.

Chen Jinchun was slightly distracted. Starting a business with a project involving as much as five million.

Rembering Tang Caide's reminder from yesterday, their company did seem to have great potential.

Suddenly, she felt worried because she didn't want to leave, but it wasn't up to her to stay.

She was a recent graduate with a three-month internship, unlike Tang Caide, who was officially employed upon joining.

"No need, everything's been detailed. Just make sure the contract is correct, and transfer the funds by 5 pm."

Lu Liang said, planning to let Tang Caide be nad as a producer mainly to monitor the fund's directions after the contract was finalized.

Tang Caide nodded. On a twenty-million project where they invested 25%, second only to Mahua, they were entitled to supervise the flow of funds.

At that mont, the doorbell suddenly rang.

"I'll get it."

Chen Jinchun put down her chopsticks and hurried to the door.

"Hahaha, it's not about arriving early, but arriving at the right mont."

Before he was visible, his laughter arrived first. ng Changkun carried a food box, "A new marinated food shop just opened nearby. Their lion head goose tastes just like back ho, everyone should try it."

Although he never specified, his standard Chaoshan accent made it clear where he was from.

There are two famous things from Chaoshan: one is the businessn, like Superman Li from Xiangjiang, Little Ma from Shenzhen, and many other wealthy businessn in the nation.

Second, the cuisine, with lion head goose known as the world's largest goose breed, with at that is rich, smooth, flavorful, and not greasy.

"I had it once before; I must see if it's authentic," Lu Liang gave ng Changkun a bowl and chopsticks.

"Absolutely authentic."

ng Changkun was also a gourt. The best parts of the lion head goose were the neck and liver, and he bought a whole box full.

Lu Liang took a piece of liver, dipped it in special garlic chili vinegar, which was velvety in texture and rich in flavor.

The dipping sauce muted the sweetness, adding a refreshing and crisp taste that was addictively delicious.

Lu Liang exclaid in admiration, giving a thumbs up, "Mr. Kun, it's indeed the Chaoshan people who know quality food."

ng Changkun laughed heartily, proudly saying, "Otherwise, why would people say that to see the best food in the nation, look to Guangdong, and for the best in Guangdong, look to Yuedong?"

"Please, everyone, help yourselves."

After the al, ng Changkun invited Lu Liang upstairs for tea.

"Not holding back anymore, if you have a way to generate wealth, perhaps we could collaborate."

ng Changkun cut to the chase. Gold prices had surged these past days, and Lu had made the right prediction again.

Moreover, he had seen the post on Li Manli's social dia about her making over three million US Dollars.

Through his interactions with Lu Liang, ng Changkun believed Lu was a kindred spirit; won were just adornnts in life, and when it ca to their careers, won had to step aside.

ng Changkun suspected that Lu Liang was testing the waters, so he took the bait.

"Mr. Kun, how do you want to cooperate?"

Lu Liang took the cigar that ng Changkun handed to him, placed it under his nose, and savored its distinct aroma.

He was not accustod to smoking cigars, but he liked the scent—rich, llow, with a touch of bitterness and crispness.

"Have you ever thought about setting up a private equity fund?"

ng Changkun said, as he had the network and Lu Liang had the knack for making money. Together, they were a perfect match for private equity.

Lu Liang lit a cigarette he brought himself, took a deep drag, and exhaled the smoke, "Let's wait a bit longer."

"What else do we need to wait for?" ng Changkun furrowed his brows.

"Setting up a private fund must have many conditions, right?" Lu Liang said.

"There are conditions for sure, but as long as we cooperate, we can overco them," ng Changkun stressed the word "cooperate".

"Forget it, I'm the person who least likes to overco difficulties. Let's wait until the right ti," Lu Liang said with a aningful smile.

He had just tried to see things from ng Changkun's perspective. If he discovered soone like him, how would he handle it?

Collaborate and both profit? Or take him in as a subordinate?

The answer was clear.

Even if it were a collaboration for mutual benefit, the current Lu Liang was definitely in a weaker position.

After all, based solely on a diagram, how could one convince others that he could genuinely help investors make money? Wasn't it all because of ng Changkun's influence?

Lu Liang did not want to beco subordinate to ng Changkun, nor was he willing to be reduced to rely a money-making tool.

ng Changkun, without showing any sign of embarrassnt from having his thoughts exposed, asked again, "When will the right ti be?"

"I've been considering it. But considering the recent stock market crash and the peak of international gold prices, there aren't many good targets right now."

Lu Liang laughed it off, though he already had a plan.

He intended to lease a seat with a brokerage firm to beco nationally known and have people line up to offer him money.

That way, he could hold the initiative in his hands.

ng Changkun pondered for a while; his knitted brows gradually relaxed, and a smile reappeared on his face.

"Lu, buddy, I still have so private funds in my small reserve. Could you help make so extra money on the side?"

ng Changkun added, "About 50 million US Dollars, if we lose it, that's on , if we make a profit, we'll split it fifty-fifty."

Lu Liang was an ambitious man; he no longer hoped to control Lu Liang but only wished to maintain their current friendship.

Due to the strong subjectivity in financial talent, there was no way to force Lu Liang to work out his tasks.

Lu Liang felt surprised, "Mr. Kun, do you really have that much confidence in ? Aren't you afraid I'll take the money and run?"

"To be honest, I was a bit worried at first, but not anymore," ng Changkun smiled, resembling the Maitreya Buddha.

Lu Liang cursed inwardly at the crafty old fox and after a long pause, he said, "Let manage it for half a year first. I'll also contribute 50 million US Dollars, bringing the total to one hundred million."

"Anyway, the money is in your hands now. Whatever you want to do with it, I won't interfere. I'll wait for the good news in mid-December."

ng Changkun wasn't afraid that Lu Liang would pocket the funds secretly. If Lu Liang wanted to make a na for himself in this industry, integrity was crucial.

The two went to the Industrial and Comrcial Bureau to process the paperwork. ng Changkun used his own funds to transfer 50 million US Dollars to Lu Liang's personal account.

President Liu looked more distressed than if his own father had died; 50 million dollars of savings just gone like that, it pained his heart.

"President Liu, if I exchange US Dollars for RMB in your bank, could you increase the limit?" Lu Liang suddenly asked.

He intended to reopen an ICBC account and deposit the entire one hundred million there for easier managent of future investnts.

But he was concerned that converting it to RMB might make it difficult to exchange back later, potentially leading to the sa insufficient quota issue as before.

"That's possible, Mr. Lu. As long as you need it, we can help you exchange it at any ti, although it will depend on the daily exchange rate fluctuations."

President Liu was overjoyed, seeing light at the end of the tunnel, gaining a quality client, and now he had hopes for this quarter's performance.

ng Changkun was stunned, quickly saying, "Lu, buddy, if you had told earlier that you needed RMB, I could have helped you exchange it."

The exchange tool was a valuable asset, necessary both personally and for the company.

After all, RMB could only be used dostically or in remote corners of Africa, while US Dollars are universally accepted.

President Liu grew anxious, "Mr. ng, please, Mr. Lu, we've already discussed this, and besides, we're just holding the funds for you, you can exchange them back."

He hurriedly promised many benefits, such as upgrading Lu Liang's ICBC account to a six-star platinum card, featuring 24-hour exclusive custor service, discounts at five-star hotels across the nation, free upgrades on flights, and VIP lounges at major high-speed train stations.

Lu Liang was indeed tempted and could only say to ng Changkun, "I'm really sorry, Mr. Kun. I did speak to President Liu first. But I still have so left if you need it, just let know."

"Actually, it's not that necessary. We can talk about it next ti."

ng Changkun sighed.

Lu Liang had needs, and helping him exchange was mutually beneficial. If Lu Liang didn't need it, it ant owing a favor.
