Liu Ming had rushed in, and now he was rushing out again—this ti with Qin Luo in tow.

Left behind in room 404, the remaining three roommates exchanged bewildered glances.

“Your departnt head seems… well…” Han Yiqun trailed off, searching for the right words, only to end up with a helpless expression.

Wang Chen was curious. “What were those ‘three words that defy description’ he ntioned? I’m a bit curious.”

Li Xuan gave them a heads-up, “I’m not insulting you, but: ‘Get lost, idiot.’”

Han Yiqun: “…”

Wang Chen: “…”

Li Xuan shrugged. “You guys want to hear his story?”

Both Han Yiqun and Wang Chen shook their heads, their minds already wandering into imaginary tales of youthful love and heartbreak.

Not sticking around either, Li Xuan quickly left room 404 and headed to the music departnt. He was eager to hear Qin Luo’s live performance again.

Liu Ming had ntioned how the song made him feel like falling in love all over again. Li Xuan had felt sothing similar the first ti he heard Qin Luo sing it.

Watching a video just couldn’t compare; he was impatient to hear it live once more.

At the music departnt, Liu Ming wasted no ti gathering all the mbers practicing there.

The others were initially curious, but when they saw Qin Luo, they were taken aback.

Ever since the basketball court incident, the “school heartthrob” title had been transferred from Wang Chuan to Qin Luo. After all, if guys could rank the prettiest girls, why couldn’t the girls do the sa for the guys?

The unanimous reason? Simple—he was handso.

If Qin Luo knew, he might have sighed and said, “If I had a choice, I wouldn’t live so predictably.”

The guys’ gazes held a mix of envy and resentnt. After all, Qin Luo had been in the spotlight at school lately, especially since his public kiss with the campus beauty, which had roused the envy of many.

Seeing him now, they could feel the sting of jealousy. “Is that it? That’s the guy who kissed the campus beauty? He doesn’t have three heads and six arms. He’s just an ordinary guy!”

The girls, however, had a simpler reaction: sheer excitent. They imdiately crowded around him.

“Wow, it’s Qin Luo!”

“What brings you to the music departnt? Are you joining us?”

“Can you sing and play guitar? Do you like music?”

“Who cares if he likes music? What matters is he’s here. I’m the vice head, and I say he’s joining!”

The music departnt had a good mix of guys and girls, with more girls overall. Although not all of them were present, there were over a dozen gathered, more than half surrounding Qin Luo, chattering away and making his head spin.

They say three won make a show—at this rate, the music departnt might as well be a theater troupe.

Seeing things getting out of hand, Liu Ming stepped in and explained the situation to everyone.

After listening, the guys’ jealousy shifted to admiration and respect, while the girls looked moved, so even tearing up.

“I thought confessing ninety-nine tis was extre, but he actually wrote a song too?”

“No wonder she kissed him instead of … Maybe that’s what sets us apart.”

“This is so touching. Qin Luo, you’re such a good guy.”

“Ji Yan is heartless! How could she reject him ninety-nine tis?”

“Senior, forget Ji Yan and go out with instead!”

“Sis, you’re way out of your depth here. Let the experienced senior handle it.”

Qin Luo found himself montarily thrust into the lilight, almost like an internet celebrity.

Joking aside, it was ti to get down to business. Under everyone’s expectant gazes, Qin Luo agreed to perform.

Liu Ming was the most excited. He quickly fetched a guitar and handed it to Qin Luo with a heartfelt expression, “This is my loyal companion, like a girlfriend to . Be gentle with her, alright?”

A shiver ran down Qin Luo’s spine. He quickly handed it back and got Li Xuan’s guitar instead.

Liu Ming gave him a wounded look, as if to say, “What, my guitar’s not good enough for you?” making Qin Luo’s head spin again.

This music departnt, filled with characters who spoke well and added a bit of flair to everything—no wonder Li Xuan enjoyed hanging out here.

Without further ado, Qin Luo sat down, tuned the guitar, and after a few test notes, began to play a gentle, upbeat lody.

The soothing sound of his voice rose alongside the tune.

In room 606.

“Hey, Ji Yan, what’s with that bag?”

As Ji Yan entered the room, her roommates noticed the peculiar bag that seed at odds with her usual elegant style and couldn’t help but ask.

“Oh, this…” Ji Yan hesitated, then opened the bag to reveal a small girl statue.

Her roommates looked on, intrigued.

“What a cute statue!”

“It looks like the kind from a color painting shop. Ji Yan, do you like this kind of thing?”

Hao ng and Shi Yulu gathered around to inspect it. They had never seen Ji Yan with such an item, nor even a regular doll, so they couldn’t help but be curious.

Jia Ting, however, looked as if she had already figured it out.

When Ji Yan walked in, Jia Ting had noticed the subtle smile playing at her lips. Normally, Ji Yan was all seriousness, so if she was smiling, it had to be for a special reason.

Putting recent events together, Jia Ting had no doubt that this statue was a gift from Qin Luo.

So, have they made it official?

Jia Ting watched Ji Yan with curiosity, and sure enough, Ji Yan’s next words confird her suspicions.

“Yeah… Qin Luo and I went shopping over the weekend. We stopped by a color painting shop and painted this little statue. I thought it looked nice, so I brought it back.”

As she spoke, Ji Yan’s eyebrows arched slightly, and her face reflected a faint hint of excitent as she seed to recall the mont.
