Watching Li Zhiyan and Shen Hongi kissing.
He Yanrong and Lai Feifei both widened their eyes in shock.
Previously, He Yanrong always felt that Li Zhiyan’s presence in their circle was sowhat unusual.
Shen Hongi was an intelligent woman, a successful businesswoman.
Lai Feifei, on the other hand, was a drunkard, a wild woman—fine when sober, but once drunk, she would spout flirtatious nonsense nonstop.
How could these two possibly be so close with Li Zhiyan?
In truth, she had wondered whether Li Zhiyan might have sothing going on with one of these won. But upon closer thought, it didn’t seem possible.
After all, the 20-year gap between them was simply too large—a romantic relationship with such an age difference, especially where the woman is older, would garner strange looks everywhere in this society.
Not to ntion that Shen Hongi and Lai Feifei carried themselves as aloof and elegant mature won.
Especially Shen Hongi—it was absolutely impossible for her to get involved with a young man 20 years her junior.
And yet, what He Yanrong witnessed now completely overturned her view of the world.
The normally cool and detached Shen Hongi was lowering her head, letting Li Zhiyan hold her waist as they kissed passionately.
Moreover, Shen Hongi was clearly responding enthusiastically to Li Zhiyan.
Their lips were locked, and they seed utterly lost in the mont.
"Shen Hongi, what on earth are you doing with my Zaizai!"
Lai Feifei didn’t care about the situation anymore. Watching Li Zhiyan and Shen Hongi kiss made her feel deeply uncomfortable. The drunk Lai Feifei’s feelings for Li Zhiyan were clearly doubled!
She stepped forward imdiately. Even in high heels, Lai Feifei—only 5’5" tall—tiptoed, grabbed Li Zhiyan’s mouth, and forcibly pulled his tongue away.
A completely intoxicated Li Zhiyan hadn’t expected Lai Feifei to be so aggressive.
He sobered up considerably afterward.
Clearly, he had let his guard down too much.
He had thought he could cozy up to Aunt Shen while she was drunk and take advantage of the mont.
But unexpectedly, Aunt Lai and Aunt Rong had caught him red-handed.
With the kiss abruptly interrupted, Shen Hongi finally snapped back to her senses.
She recalled how, one day when Li Zhiyan had co over to work part-ti, under the influence of alcohol, she had impulsively relived so past mistakes with him.
Every ti she thought about it, Shen Hongi regretted it imnsely—alcohol truly was disastrous!
And now, under the combined effect of alcohol and heightened emotions,
she had not only accepted Li Zhiyan’s audacious demand,
but, after stepping outside, even bent down to kiss him again. What was she doing? Every ti she encountered Li Zhiyan, her rationality seed completely incapable of taking control.
What embarrassed Shen Hongi the most, however, was being caught red-handed by He Yanrong and Lai Feifei while kissing Li Zhiyan.
Lai Feifei licked her fingers clean of any traces, then grabbed Shen Hongi and said, "Hongi, co here!"
The three won went off to the side together.
Li Zhiyan couldn’t help feeling slightly lancholic. At that mont, he realized how ridiculous and unrealistic it was to think he could deceive everyone and secretly maintain relationships with all three of the Shanghai Three Aunts.
It was downright impossible—they were inseparable companions.
Anything that happened would soon be known by the other two, no matter how he tried to hide it, and it would eventually be exposed.
Being with Aunt Zhao was much simpler. Aunt Zhao’s life had no overlap with that of the Shanghai Three Aunts.
He wouldn’t need to deal with so many complications.
His thoughts shifted—how could he achieve his ultimate dream?
...
Dragging Shen Hongi aside, Lai Feifei drunkenly interrogated, "Shen Hongi, confess honestly. What’s your deal?"
"How dare you make a move on my Zaizai? He could practically be your son!"
Lai Feifei’s expression was filled with accusation.
"It’s nothing. I drank too much. Li Zhiyan kept pestering to kiss him, and while I was groggy, he kissed ."
Shen Hongi suddenly felt a pang of guilt.
Perhaps it was because Lai Feifei always referred to Li Zhiyan as her Zaizai that Shen Hongi sohow subconsciously accepted it as fact.
"Are you really not involved with my Zaizai?"
"Have you ever seduced him to book a room with you?"
Lai Feifei’s scrutinizing gaze made Shen Hongi even more flustered.
"What nonsense are you talking about? There’s really nothing between Xiao Yan and ."
"I’m his elder. I see him as a son. Maybe Xiao Yan sees as soone he has feelings for, though."
He Yanrong listened to their conversation while recalling how Li Zhiyan had protected her earlier.
That guy was fierce, yet Xiao Yan hadn’t backed down for a mont.
Thinking about Shen Hongi and Li Zhiyan kissing only deepened the jealousy in her heart.
Was this kiss really just their first, purely accidental incident?
Or had they already forged a deep and forbidden connection?
Afterward, Lai Feifei dragged He Yanrong and Shen Hongi back to face Li Zhiyan.
Lai Feifei grabbed Li Zhiyan’s hand.
"Zaizai."
"How could you do this!"
"Aunt Lai, it’s just the alcohol. It’s nothing. Don’t overthink it."
Li Zhiyan glanced at Shen Hongi. He explained himself. At this point, Shen Hongi was evidently much more sober, unlike Lai Feifei and He Yanrong, who were still evidently intoxicated.
"Oh, well then, don’t do this again in the future, Zaizai."
Saying that, Lai Feifei hugged Li Zhiyan’s waist.
"Zaizai, tell —do you like your Aunt Shen more, or ?"
"I like you both, and Aunt Rong too."
Li Zhiyan wasn’t sure why this drunkard was suddenly caught up in this question. Was it because she was jealous after seeing him kiss Aunt Shen?
"No way. Aunt wants you to say—who do you like most?"
"Between and your Aunt Shen, who do you prefer?"
Watching Lai Feifei interrogate Li Zhiyan, He Yanrong gently chid in, "Feifei, you’ve had too much to drink. Why are you asking a child such questions? We’re all elders to Xiao Yan."
"Elders aren’t girlfriends. Our place in Xiao Yan’s heart can’t be the sa for everyone."
Lai Feifei huffed, her face bright red.
"I just want to hear Xiao Yan say, between and Hongi, who he likes more."
"Aunt Lai, Aunt Shen—you’re both my elders. It’s impossible to compare."
Lai Feifei was visibly dissatisfied with this response.
"Zaizai, but you kissed your Aunt Shen today."
"Aunt wants to join your little ga too."
She slipped her arms around Li Zhiyan’s neck. Before Li Zhiyan could react,
Lai Feifei pressed her lips to his and quickly slid her tongue in.
The sight of this made Shen Hongi’s heart race uncontrollably, her clenched fists tightening further.
