"I ca back last night and specifically ca to keep you two expectant mothers company." Leng Zimo stepped forward, steadied her shoulders, and kissed her face, "I have to accompany Qin Lan to the church first, so I won’t be with you. Breakfast is ready, and the makeup artist and stylist will be here soon. I’ll see you at the church."
"Okay." Luo Xiaoqian nodded in agreent, reached up to adjust his tie, and after thoroughly checking him over to ensure there was not a single thing amiss, she straightened up, "See you at the church!"
"Co on, it’s my wedding, you know?" Huangfu Ruo leaned against the door, joking with a smile, "Watching you two, I almost mistook it for your wedding."
"Qin Lan ca to see you yesterday before he left." Leng Zimo smiled at her, "You didn’t see it, that guy was so happy, shouting and yelling across the lawn like a lunatic."
"Well of course, he’s about to marry the Eldest Miss of the Huangfu Family. He would need several lifetis of good fortune to land such luck!"
Huangfu Ruo teased with her mouth, but her heart was filled with happiness.
"Ruoruo, congratulations!"
Leng Zimo walked up and opened his arms to her.
"Thank you, Brother Zimo." Huangfu Ruo walked forward and hugged him, her little head peeking up to look at Luo Xiaoqian, "Xiaoqian, don’t be jealous, okay? I’m telling you, I’ve never had Zimo hug like this before; I need to enjoy it a little longer."
Luo Xiaoqian just smiled silently on the side.
"Girl Ruo, Girl Qian, are you two up yet?"
On the stairs, footsteps lightly sounded, Leng Lin walked up with the support of Tong Ya and Huangfu Ao.
"Uncle Leng!" Upon seeing him, Huangfu Ruo imdiately let go of Leng Zimo and walked over to him, "You’re up early."
"Of course, today is the day my daughter gets married. I definitely had to get up early!" Leng Lin said with a smile.
As the two chatted, Leng Zimo tidied Luo Xiaoqian’s long hair, "Alright, I should leave now. Rember to be extra careful, and call if anything cos up."
"Okay." Luo Xiaoqian replied with a smile, "You guys be careful too."
Leng Zimo nodded and after giving Huangfu Ao a couple of instructions, he hurried downstairs to leave for Qin Lan’s castle.
Today, he was a groomsman, naturally needing to stay by the groom’s side at all tis, especially with so many tasks at hand.
After Leng Zimo left, everyone went downstairs together where the maids had already prepared breakfast. After everyone had eaten, the makeup artists and stylists also arrived with their assistants.
Luo Xiaoqian and Huangfu Ruo each went upstairs to shower, while over at Qin Lan’s, the wedding and bridesmaids’ dresses had been delivered.
By the ti the two had finished showering, many of Huangfu Ruo’s guests had already arrived at the castle. There were Huangfu Ruo’s close friends, as well as several relatives of the Huangfu Family, all of whom brought wedding gifts for Huangfu Ruo.
The morning flew by in an instant.
In the afternoon, at Tong Ya’s insistence, Huangfu Ruo and Luo Xiaoqian were arranged to rest on the bed for a little while. Shen Yizhou also ca over from the other side to check Leng Lin’s blood pressure and other health indicators, and then stayed to help out.
Both were too excited to sleep; they simply lay down for a bit before it was ti for the most ti-consuming part—the dressing and makeup.
By a little after three o’clock, the two of them had finally completed this solid task and ca out of their rooms.
