Xu Musen spoke clearly while chewing on his dessert, causing Zhu Yulan to almost shake her coffee cup out of her hand.
She hadn't expected Xu Musen to admit this openly.

Xu Musen's tone was sowhat resigned and slightly bitter, just like Zhu Yulan had been that drunk night.

Zhu Yulan suddenly smiled, opening her mouth to take the dessert Xu Musen had offered.

She chewed on the dessert, its sweet and sour taste like a spring rain in winter, she cursed softly, then set down her coffee cup.
She took a long breath, the anxiety she'd felt just monts ago swept away.

Xu Musen smiled, just then there was a knock on the door, and Yang Xiaotao poked her little head in, holding two family buckets in her arms, and ca running over.
"Here! Boss Xu, mission accomplished!"
Yang Xiaotao placed one bucket in front of the two and hugged her own, "Now I'm gonna go eat!"
