This book, from the beginning of June last year to mid-July this year, took a full year in total.

1.92 million words, which is quite close to two million, and for focusing mainly on everyday romantic writing, it's actually a considerable amount.

Of course, compared to the 3.6 million words of the last book, it's still a lot less, and the smoothness towards the end wasn't quite as good.

Upon self-reflection, the biggest problem lies with the female protagonist.

After all, this book is rely a dual female protagonist narrative, and no matter the contrast or pull between two female leads, there will always be aesthetic fatigue sooner or later.

Moreover, many parts are homogenous, even the writing feels a bit dull to , which is why the updates beca very slow towards the end.

The biggest difference compared to the last book is in the number of female protagonists!

After all, the last book had as many as six female leads in the end…

(In the current era where single female protagonists dominate, and multiple female leads are the target of complaints, it's really not easy, and the book could be destroyed at any ti.

So, for those who haven't read it yet, you can take a look at my last book, "Rebirth: I Will Never Be a Bootlicker", its quality is undeniable, cherish it while you can.)

Of course, there are many other issues like Nuannuan's character being a bit thin, and Xiao Sickly Cutie not being "sickly" enough.

Regarding the follow-up issues of the other two female supporting characters, Xiao Mai and Xiao Zhu, I've seen everyone's questions.

About the supporting characters, I freely admit the mistake of setting their characters too thin in the early stages, which is fine for supporting roles, and sowhat made people regretful, proving these two characters were still quite liked in so respects.

However, this is only in the context of supporting roles, treating them as main characters would indeed be too thin.

And since it wasn't explained in the book, it leaves an imaginative space for everyone.

In summary, this book might not have t the expectations of veteran readers, but overall, the early and middle stages were adequate, being of high quality as well. The fatigue in the later stage was due to my lack of energy and failing to keep up with updates.

This is why in the past one or two months, subscription rates have almost fallen to rock bottom, speaking purely of relying on previous works with no inco.

Of course, this is my own fault. If readers are willing to spend money on my book, then the audience is like God; every mistake is my mistake, and I always rember this.

Therefore, I am responsible for my work.

For others, such late performance might lead straight to an abrupt ending or abandoning the book, one could easily start again under a new na.

But I'm rather straightforward like the male lead in my writing; once a relationship is truly confird, I will definitely be responsible until the end.

So even with almost zero inco in these past two or three months, I never thought of ending or abandoning the book, nor will I change nas to start a new book and earn money.

I do care about my personal IP.

On a sowhat vain note, I wish that the na "Cat Play Dog" can beco a shining banner in the future urban romance literature sector.

Of course, all this relies on the support from all readers, and along the way, there's always been the companionship of old readers, and continuous support from new readers.

In the comnt section and fan groups, there are several active book fans whom I rember distinctly, although a few might be "Xiao Nang Niang" … haha.

Just joking, but they're indeed a group of lovely people, people who have beautiful aspirations in life; eting you has been a delightful part of writing these books.

Therefore, a special thank you for all the support along the journey.

I've also reflected many tis, encountering nurous issues, like always attempting to avoid similarities with the last book, but essentially, they share the sa the, even the sa style, both are rebirths, both unfold from high school, both involve everyday romantic lives, settings, and templates that are quite profound.

So so parts are avoided, yet the consequence is that nurous distinctive strengths and specialties of mine were not brought into play.

In this respect, I have learned this lesson.

Thus, I can guarantee the next book in advance.

I dare not guarantee everything will be unprecedented, nor claim every chapter will be exciting, but I will certainly continue to uphold the style of Cat Play Dog.

Obviously, I will also aim to innovate and attempt new things while maintaining the style. Thɪs chapter is updatᴇd by novel(ꜰ)ire

For example, the next book already has at least three or four candidates for the female lead.

I can reveal a little bit in advance…

There will still be childhood friends, still be fateful encounters, still have wealthy older sisters, maybe even exotic charm… (Among these, there is a pair who are sisters~)

Ahem, can't say more.

Those who've read my books know that I'm quite adept at crafting various different types of female leads.

And this ti, I've also decided not to have the female leads always in one place fighting wildly, hence separating them, in different venues and scenes, thereby bringing more unexpected novelty.

Moreover, this ti it won't just halt at the student era, but will extend the tiline into societal phase, also a form of experintation; although the business line is still not the focus, it's all ant to assist the emotional storyline, yet I'll diligently study to write it well this ti.

The the of the next book will still be rebirth literature.

This is my third book, and with slow updates past few months, has also been because I was always devising this book, and I have so foreboding this book might be a comprehensive piece of mine.

The first book was luck and my highest spirits too, so although the beginning lacked firepower, the reputation reversed in the later part.

The second book, with experience in early and middle stages hence the performance was good, quickly beca a fine piece, yet the latter part also suffered fatigue due to aforentioned reasons.

This third one, I am cautious about, and quite confident.

The specific publication ti is still uncertain, mainly because I am constantly thinking and refining it.

I'm also considered an author with perseverance and temper, therefore still have so requirents for my own works.

Not seeking to beco god-level, but at least worthy of every penny spent by readers.

So, I'll carefully polish the next book, striving to present a work that represents my best at this stage.

In the end, thank you all for the support along the way.

And I hope the next work will also leave characters like An Xiaomi, like Yao Mingyue, with so flaws yet the most vivid and unforgettable...

The constant ethos in Cat Play Dog's books is warmth and completeness.

There will be no shocking points, nor excessive drama, nor leaving any regrets, nor abruptly stopped or run away...

Not aiming to be a big master, but ensuring that after reading the book, all readers will smile knowingly as they turn the last page.

Finally have a sweet sleep, that's enough.

Finally, thank you all for the continued support, Cat Play Dog hereby offers thanks!

Wish everyone happiness in life and all the best.
