"If you keep slacking off like this, I won’t give you a single penny. You better be careful," the influencer scolded her for a long ti before finally leaving satisfied.

Sister Li tightly gripped her phone, not daring to argue back, and had to smile and explain that she was just checking the work schedule.

After the influencer left, she gritted her teeth, "Qin Yun, it’s all your fault I’m in this ss; you must pay the price for it."

She put away her phone, quickly handled her work, then hailed a cab to the urban village in A City.

This place was chaotic, with all kinds of people.

Sister Li followed the address she had found, encountering several hoodlums who whistled at her, scaring her pale.

"What kind of hellhole is this?"

She stomped in frustration but had to endure until she found Qin Yun’s gambler father.

Twenty minutes later, she finally found the place.

In front of her was a chaotic cluster of group rentals, surrounded by trash that slled awful. In the dim corners, scantily clad won stood.

You could instantly tell it was disreputable.

Suppressing her dissatisfaction, she knocked on the door at the address, "Is anyone there?"

She knocked for ages, but no one responded.

"Is anyone there?" Sister Li knocked harder, still with no response.

Frustrated, she kicked the door, thinking she might have to leave empty-handed today.

"What are you doing?" A rough voice ca over.

Sister Li was startled, quickly turned around, and saw a scruffy man standing behind her, glaring at her angrily.

The man was holding a plastic bag; it looked like he had packed so snacks to eat later.

His legs were uneven; clearly, one of them was hurt, probably beaten until it broke.

He looked at her with a predatory gaze, as if she were a creature accidentally caught in a trap.

Sister Li’s heart skipped a beat, and she stepped back several paces, "Excuse , are you Qin Yun’s father?"

The man visibly paused, his tone becoming even harsher, "You know that little brat? Do you know where she is? Why are you here?"

Qin Dawei asked three questions in rapid succession, anger growing with each one.

If Qin Yun hadn’t refused to repay him, his leg wouldn’t have been broken, and he wouldn’t need to hide during the day, only sneaking out at night to buy sothing to eat.

These days of lying low had beco unbearable.

But since Qin Yun had blocked his phone number, he couldn’t contact her at all.

Does this woman know Qin Yun?

"Yes, I know where she is," Sister Li instantly felt more confident; once she found Qin Dawei, everything would be easy.

"Where is she?"

Qin Dawei grew even more hostile, angrily throwing down his packed al and approaching Sister Li, "Who are you to her?"

Sister Li trembled, "Don’t co any closer, I’m here to help you. I know you’re having a tough ti, but Qin Yun is raking in money and has even started a company, she’s making money hand over fist."

Making money hand over fist?

Qin Dawei’s eyes lit up, greedily staring at Sister Li, "Really?"

Sister Li said, "Really, as long as you listen to , I assure you that you’ll get money quickly."

Greed filled Qin Dawei’s eyes, his face hardened as he said, "You better deliver, because if you don’t, don’t bla for being rude."

Sister Li gritted her teeth and nodded.

As long as she could bring down Qin Yun, paying so money was nothing.

Besides, with his leg in such a state, wouldn’t he be easy to control?

"What do you want to do?" Qin Dawei asked.

As long as he could teach that little brat a lesson and get so money, he’d do anything.

"Qin Yun’s in the public eye now; all you need to do is expose the dirt on how she’s neglecting her father. Her fans will certainly abandon her and turn against her, and at that point, no matter how much she wants to spin the story, she won’t be able to. She’ll have to pay you to get it resolved."

"Don’t worry, when the ti cos, I’ll help you. Qin Yun won’t be able to clear her na."

Sister Li laughed darkly; she could already foresee how miserable Qin Yun would be once she fell.

"Why would you be so generous?" Qin Dawei eyed Sister Li suspiciously.

"I have a grudge against her, all I want is revenge. As long as she’s miserable, I’ll be happy," Sister Li explained with a twisted expression, looking so fierce that Qin Dawei instantly believed her.

It seed that little brat had quite a few enemies.

Sister Li then handed over so docunts to Qin Dawei, "I’ll leave these with you, just follow the instructions and expose her."

"Alright."

They made a deal, and Qin Dawei even forced Sister Li to hand over three thousand yuan.

Claiming he was starving, and couldn’t focus on exposing Qin Yun without money for food.

Sister Li had no choice but to give him three thousand in cash.

Qin Dawei laughed from ear to ear with the money in hand.

Sister Li left in disgust; if Qin Dawei weren’t such a key part, she’d really rather not deal with such trash.

However, once Qin Yun was finished, she wouldn’t have to associate with such disgusting people anymore.

Sister Li went ho to wait for news, checking her phone multiple tis a day, getting scolded by the influencer several tis, "Why do I even keep you around?"

The influencer was furious, "If it weren’t for having a useless person like you around, how would I have gotten fired from the company?"

She had broken ties with the company over so issue and now had to find a new place to sign.

"Weren’t you Qin Yun’s old agent? Go tell her I want to sign with her company; ask for better terms for ," she kicked Sister Li and instructed.

Sister Li heard it and jerked her head up, "What?"

"Go plead with Qin Yun for a better contract. Don’t tell that as her old agent, you can’t even handle her; what’s the point of living then?" The influencer spat more insults.

Sister Li had no choice but to grit her teeth and agree.

She thought as soon as Qin Dawei exposed Qin Yun, the influencer would surely abandon the idea of forcefully signing with Qin Yun.

But she hadn’t expected that after three days, not only was there no commotion from Qin Dawei, but he also called demanding money.

She was left with no choice but to transfer five thousand yuan to Qin Dawei and pushed him to expose Qin Yun imdiately.

"Why’re you rushing, I’ll do it soon."

Qin Dawei hung up the call and stepped into the casino with the just-received five thousand.

...

Cilicili Company.

Wang Sirui and Chen Yao were about to leave; they’d been having fun here for two days. Qin Yun, free from her own matters, had been accompanying them, though Yang Leqi had been avoiding them since the first day and only joined them each ti afterward.

Though she was hardly speaking.

Wang Sirui, however, had been quietly taking care of her, handing her water, buying snacks, and even carrying her backpack.

If Yang Leqi hadn’t been keeping a cold expression, Qin Yun might think they were dating.

However, Chen Yao had been watching their interactions from the sidelines, quietly asking Qin Yun, "Are those two dating?"
