"How could I sleep?" Mrs. Pei looked worried.

As soon as she finished speaking, they heard the sound of a plane landing. Mr. and Mrs. Pei hurriedly rushed to the tarmac, closely followed by Mrs. Zhang and the others.

Pei Yan and Qin Yun had just gotten off the plane when they heard Mrs. Pei’s voice, "Yan’er, Yunyun."

Mr. Pei supported Mrs. Pei as they ca in front of the two. Mr. Pei appeared more composed, simply saying, "It’s good you’re back."

Mrs. Pei reached out to check, making sure neither of them was hurt.

Mrs. Zhang and the others nearby covered their mouths; they had been terrified when they saw the news that afternoon.

Seeing this, Qin Yun tilted her head to glance at Pei Yan, then turned and spun around in front of Mrs. Pei, pulling Pei Yan to spin around as well, saying, "We’re fine. We just happened to be there; the car didn’t drive over. We were just helping with the rescue."

"It’s good that you’re okay, it’s good that you’re okay." Mrs. Pei’s eyes were slightly red, muttering to herself.

At this mont, she was just a normal mother, hoping for her children’s safety.

Pei Yan glanced at the ti. It was almost two in the morning.

Thinking of how Mr. and Mrs. Pei stayed up late waiting for them to return, they felt sowhat guilty. As Divine Beasts, they had long forgotten such emotions.

Pei Yan couldn’t help but soften his tone, "Sorry to make you worry. It’s late now; let’s rest for tonight. We can talk tomorrow."

"Okay." Mrs. Pei replied.

Mr. Pei walked beside Mrs. Pei, Pei Yan walked on the other side of Mrs. Pei, and Qin Yun walked beside Pei Yan.

The group returned to the villa, and Mrs. Pei finally agreed to rest.

Since the decision to return was made at the last minute, the guest room hadn’t been prepared. But even if they knew they were coming back, it’s unlikely they would prepare an additional guest room.

After all, how could there be a reason for a married couple to sleep separately?

Qin Yun saw the lone bed in Pei Yan’s room again and sighed. Last ti, it was on this bed she made a mistake.

"Why don’t I sleep on the floor?" Qin Yun said quietly, looking at Pei Yan.

Pei Yan was holding a bath towel, ready to freshen up in the next room. Hearing this, he raised his eyebrows, "Scared?"

"Scared? I don’t know how to write that word." Qin Yun lifted her chin at the words, her eyebrows and eyes exuding confidence. She chuckled lightly and took her pajamas into the bathroom without hesitation.

Leaving Pei Yan with a confident back view.

Pei Yan chuckled softly, shaking his head, opened the door, and went next door.

When Pei Yan finished showering and returned, Qin Yun hadn’t finished yet. He lay on the bed, vaguely hearing the sound of water from the bathroom, earnestly picking up a book to read, initially quite calm.

Listening attentively, Pei Yan found he couldn’t focus on the book at all; his attention involuntarily shifted to the sounds in the bathroom, feeling sowhat restless as he moved slightly on the bed.

Gradually, not only could he not read the book, but he felt inexplicably restless, as if the air had grown thinner.

His heart raced, his body temperature rose, and his ears grew hot.

Pei Yan, never having experienced such a situation before, felt a bit anxious and uneasy.

"System detects elevated body temperature and increased heart rate in the prince. Requires comprehensive examination? If you need a complete examination, you can use Life Value to exchange for it." Little C suddenly spoke up, dutifully reminding.

At this mont, Pei Yan was extrely tense; hearing Little C’s words made him more agitated, "Shut up!"

"Prince, illness needs treatnt; don’t delay," Little C spoke cheerfully, with a hint of amusent hidden in its voice.

"If you don’t appear, I’m fine!" Pei Yan said in a calm voice.

He vaguely sensed the anomaly in his body but couldn’t quite pinpoint the cause.

Until Qin Yun ca out in thin pajamas, the scent wafting over soothed Pei Yan’s restless heart, suddenly calming him down, only leaving his heartbeat still slightly rapid.

Qin Yun was drying her hair when she sensed a scorching gaze.

She looked up and saw Pei Yan staring intently at her, his actions slowed as she asked puzzledly, "What’s wrong?"

Pei Yan clearly sensed the peculiarity of his body, sowhat awkwardly averting his gaze, his voice husky and deep, "It’s nothing."

"Oh." Qin Yun nodded indifferently, picking up the dryer to dry her hair.

The room buzzed audibly, sowhat noisy, but inexplicably, Pei Yan felt it was quite nice?

Soon, Qin Yun finished drying her hair, stood up to go to bed, sitting at the bed’s edge made it sink slightly. As she climbed into bed, the scent of the shower gel flooded his nose. Although they used the sa shower gel, it felt pleasantly fragrant to him.

Simultaneously, the scent of the sa shower gel gave him the sensation that Qin Yun was covered in his scent, marked as his exclusive territory, raising a strange sense of satisfaction in Pei Yan?

This feeling was indeed odd.

"I’ll head out for a bit." Pei Yan said hoarsely, not waiting for Qin Yun to respond, tossed aside the covers, and stepped out.

Qin Yun watched Pei Yan’s retreating figure, bewildered; what’s wrong with him?

Pei Yan stepped onto the balcony. The night breeze swept through, slowly calming the impromptu emotions that just surged within him.

He began to reflect on the cause of his recent emotions.

Recalling what had just happened, sudden but seed sowhat traceable.

The oddities in recent tis seed to have started since the last ti they shared a bed. His gaze would unconsciously fall on her, and he consciously wanted to get closer to her, even having a weird sense of possessiveness.

Just now, the identical scent of shower gel on both of them further provoked his original divine beast instinct to mark his exclusive territory by scent, making him feel Qin Yun was his personal belonging.

Perhaps these emotions were not just post-arrival?

After all, up in the heavens, he seed quite tolerant towards Qin Yun. If it were anyone else provoking him like that, they’d be long gone.

But Qin Yun continued to jump around under his eyes, and he rely engaged in insignificant ’fights’ with her.

Rather than actual fights, it was more like shooing Qin Yun away lightly, never causing any real harm.

Similarly, although initially bound by the system to complete tasks, he was annoyed yet didn’t entirely reject the notion.

Furthermore, maybe his annoyance wasn’t truly directed at Qin Yun.

On the contrary, if the system’s assigned partner were soone else, he probably wouldn’t agree to execute the system’s assigned tasks.

Humans’ lives last rely decades; he has the capabilities to shorten it at will and return early, making those tasks unnecessary. Doing so might violate heavenly rules, but with his powerful form, those sky thunders would barely tickle him, not harming him.

Yet, he accepted the system’s intimidation, completing tasks with Qin Yun.

Perhaps everything was only because that person was Little Taotie Tang Yun, not just any Qin Yun.
