She would never believe that Zhu Min didn’t co to intentionally strike up a conversation with her!
"You should be careful. I see that girl is quite attractive. Although I think Captain Yan is a good person and wouldn’t ss around with those outsiders, it’s more about precautions, like being aware of potential trouble!" Chen Bajin whispered into Gu Fuqiao’s ear.
Actually, what Chen Bajin said was completely right. For example, soone like Wang i would neither openly ruin soone else’s marriage nor try other sches... she’d just keep bothering Gu Fuqiao, endlessly driving her up the wall.
This Zhu Min might not seem as foolish as Wang i, but from the first look, Gu Fuqiao didn’t quite like her, sensing she had so ulterior motives.
"Hmm, I know," Gu Fuqiao nodded, then asked Chen Bajin, "When are you going to that author gathering?"
"Tomorrow!" As soon as the author gathering was ntioned, Chen Bajin perked up, and the bit of drowsiness from dinner vanished completely.
Seeing Chen Bajin so excited, Gu Fuqiao started discussing it with her as well.
As night fell, after Gu Fuqiao and Yan Zhen Guo finished dinner, the couple lay in bed. Seeing Yan Zhen Guo’s hand reaching for her waist, she rolled over to the inner side of the bed and said, "I’m tired today, we’ll talk tomorrow."
"You were tired last night too," Yan Zhen Guo grumbled, cornering Gu Fuqiao.
Gu Fuqiao truly didn’t want to be pounced on by Yan Zhen Guo these days, so she continued to retreat.
But each step she took back, Yan Zhen Guo took one forward, until she had no choice.
The final result was Yan Zhen Guo’s victory! A successful counter-attack!
After the successful counter-attack, Yan Zhen Guo carried Gu Fuqiao to the bathroom for a shower, and once she ca out all refreshed, she lay on the bed.
Looking at the slightly dim ceiling, she said, "Old Yan, are you sleepy?"
"I’m okay. Do you want to go again?" Considering Gu Fuqiao, Yan Zhen Guo hadn’t completely satisfied himself earlier.
Gu Fuqiao regretted asking this as soon as it was out; she should’ve cut to the point, avoiding giving Yan Zhen Guo more room for imagination!
"No... not that," Gu Fuqiao sighed and told Yan Zhen Guo, "I ran into Zhu Min at the canteen today."
"Who’s Zhu Min?" Yan Zhen Guo furrowed his attractive brows, pondering for a while before he suddenly rembered and asked, "Are you talking about that perforr from the art troupe?"
Gu Fuqiao nodded, "Yes, it’s her! I felt her intentions towards you were too obvious! She even ca directly to talk to ."
After speaking, there was a slightly sour tone, though fleeting, yet Gu Fuqiao still caught it.
Yan Zhen Guo glanced at Gu Fuqiao lying beside him and asked, "What are your thoughts?"
"Thoughts? Let think," Gu Fuqiao pondered earnestly but couldn’t co up with anything, so she said to Yan Zhen Guo, "Not really any thoughts, really... just felt at the ti... anyways, my Old Yan wouldn’t fancy anyone else, let her go make mischief... why does that little girl want to have her eyes on a married man like you?"
Gu Fuqiao babbled on, completely unaware that the corners of Yan Zhen Guo’s mouth were slightly upturned.
"Yes," Yan Zhen Guo responded, and then said to Gu Fuqiao, "Don’t worry, I won’t fancy others."
Gu Fuqiao rarely heard Yan Zhen Guo say things like this, and upon hearing his words, she paused and leaned towards Yan Zhen Guo saying, "Old Yan, you say you won’t fancy anyone else, does that an you really like ?"
She finished speaking and tilted her head to look at Yan Zhen Guo.
Yan Zhen Guo lowered his head, looking at the little woman with stars in her eyes gazing at him, and lightly pursed his lips, "Hmm... maybe..."
What does "maybe" an!
Upon hearing this, Gu Fuqiao wasn’t pleased, fiercely pinching Yan Zhen Guo’s arm intending to warn him, but instead hurt herself because Yan Zhen Guo’s arm was too strong!
"What is your flesh made of?" Gu Fuqiao quickly retrieved her hand, bringing it to her mouth to blow on it.
