After Transmigrating into a Novel with My Boyfriend, He Turned Out to Be a Native Villain Chapter 73: What the H*ll Do You Mean “Kissing with Arms Aro
On the other side, after getting out of the car, Yu Li didn’t head toward her dorm. Instead, she turned around and left through another school gate, catching a ride to a well-known park.
This park was a famous must-visit spot on local rankings. It sat by the river, and if you ca around dusk, you could even catch the sunset.
Yu Li leaned against the railing, closed her eyes, and enjoyed the evening breeze by the riverside. Her phone buzzed lightly. She glanced down to see a ssage from the man, reminding her to rember to apply sothing for her eyes when she got back.
Yu Li chuckled and replied with a cute emoji.
【Yu Li: Got it, Senior~٩( 'ω' )و 】
Then she turned off the screen.
She reached over and gave the little system beside her a pat. “Like it here? I saw online that it’s pretty nice.”
The little glowing orb that had been quietly admiring the view froze for a second when patted, then suddenly floated up, voice rising with excitent, practically sparkling with joy. “Sis! You ca here just for ?!”
Yu Li raised an eyebrow. “What, you think I went out of my way to dodge Bo Jingmo and cab it all the way here just to admire the park by myself?”
The system hadn’t thought of that at all. It bounced around in the air like a kettle coming to a boil, bursting with excitent. “Aaaaah!! Sis, I love you to death!! I’ll totally give it my all in the next instance! I swear I won’t drag you down!”
It had honestly thought that running into Bo Jingmo ant the outing plans were scrapped. Who would’ve guessed that she still rembered?
Seeing how happy it looked, Yu Li couldn’t help but laugh.
She slowly retracted her gaze, resting her elbow on the railing. Her eyes drifted to the distant river as she spoke in a slow, llow tone. “Then I’m counting on you, little system.”
The system, still buzzing with excitent, floated back onto Yu Li’s shoulder and asked, “So, Sis, are you not planning to tell Bo Jingmo the truth? What if he finds out you’re an NPC?”
Then, rembering what happened earlier today, the little system tilted itself back and forth, mumbling, “But... Bo Jingmo seems a bit different from what I dug up on him before. He looks kind of gentle, and he’s been really nice to you.”
Given how he’d behaved, the system decided to hold off on trash-talking Bo Jingmo for now.
Yu Li gave a low chuckle at that. “Gentle?”
Her tone carried a faint smile, tinged with sothing deeper and harder to describe. The breeze brushed past her ears, causing her hair to sweep against her cheek like a gentle touch, sending a slight shiver across her skin.
She smoothed her hair back and spoke lazily, “It’s all an act.”
They’d been together long enough—she knew that man’s personality way too well.
Jealous, possessive, dark to the core. Like a rabid dog—once he wanted sothing, he wouldn’t stop until it was his. He’d even gone as far as staging an act to get her to quit her job at the bar, then slowly lured her into his territory without making a sound.
As if recalling sothing from the past, Yu Li squinted her eyes with a smile and said to the system, “You wanna know what Bo Jingmo did back when I was chasing him?”
System: “What?”
The evening breeze swept across the lake, sending gentle ripples across the surface like soone had tossed in pebbles.
Yu Li lowered her gaze, staring silently at her reflection in the water as it gradually twisted and warped.
The ripples spread, and for just a mont, the image in the water seed to blur into a mory from the past.
It had also been dusk that day. The setting sun stread through the window of a special ward, casting light over a ss—shattered glass scattered everywhere, liquid spilled across the floor.
Loose pills had fallen into the puddle, slowly dissolving into white powder.
The clinking of chains echoed in the room, and sitting beside the bed was a man.
His wrist was shackled by a tal chain that restricted his movents.
The hospital had been at its wit’s end—no one could figure out what was wrong with this special patient. He looked normal enough, showed no signs of an episode.
—But he was impossible to manage.
He wouldn’t listen to anyone, refused all cooperation. He wouldn’t eat or take his ds, wouldn’t even drink water. Anyti a nurse or doctor brought sothing in, he’d grab it and smash it to the floor the mont their back was turned.
He even showed signs of self-harm—conscious, deliberate self-harm.
If that were all, it might still be manageable. But he also stirred up other already unstable patients, pushing them toward breakdowns and even suicide. The whole psych ward was in chaos—doctors were running around nonstop.
He was more trouble now than when he was actually having an episode.
Once they finally cleaned up the ss, they looked toward the ward again.
There, they saw the man finally quiet, head bowed as he sat on the bed. His long, pale fingers rested on a sheet of white paper, bangs falling over his face, only exposing a sickly jawline and blood-red lips. His whole presence felt dark and twisted.
What on earth had happened? How did he end up like this?
Had his condition worsened?
None of them had ever seen symptoms like these.
A group of doctors gathered, discussing for ages, but no one could co up with any answers.
In the end, it was a small nurse who regularly delivered dication who timidly raised her hand and said, “Why don’t we… let Yu Li try?”
“Yu Li? Are you serious? She’s even more dangerous than Bo Jingmo. No way.”
“Exactly. Just because her condition looks better lately doesn’t an she’s fine. Have you been talking to her again? I told you to stay away from her.”
“You want her to go see Bo Jingmo? Two lunatics in one room? What if she triggers an episode?”
As the doctors all rejected her suggestion, the little nurse shrank her neck in and quietly explained under their sharp gazes, “I didn’t talk to her. I just… saw sothing.”
“Saw what?”
“Last ti Bo Jingmo had an episode, wasn’t it Yu Li who cald him down?” the nurse blinked. “And after that, I saw them together a few tis. They were always calm, and they seed to get along. Maybe… maybe it’d work.”
The doctors’ expressions changed instantly. “You let them be alone? Why didn’t you report it?!”
The nurse’s face turned red. “That needs to be reported too?”
“Of course! Two special patients spending ti together—what if sothing unexpected happens!?” one of the doctors scolded, voice stern. “In every situation, you should—”
“What if they were, like, secretly holding hands in a corner… or Yu Li had her arms around Bo Jingmo’s neck and kissed him?”
“???”
The group of doctors froze. Then their eyes bulged wide, mouths dropping open as their voices cracked in disbelief:
“Huh?????”
What the h*ll do you an holding hands??
What the h*ll do you an kissing with her arms around his neck???
The nurse’s face turned even redder. She lowered her head and mumbled, “I only saw it a few tis… but they seed normal each ti. And Bo Jingmo looked really happy. There were no signs of an episode, so I didn’t think it was that serious.”
“.........”
In the awkward silence that followed, one doctor finally looked like he’d seen it all and given up on life.
“…Then… let her try.”
