When Yu Li returned to the dormitory, her roommates were already inside. At the sound of the door opening, a girl turned her head and looked over.

"Yu Li, you're back? Are you okay?"

The voice sounded a lot like the one who had called her for lunch earlier. A na imdiately popped into Yu Li’s mind—Le Yi.

She responded with a soft "Mm" and smiled at Le Yi. "I feel much better after so sleep. The past few days have been exhausting."

The girl at the opposite desk made a knowing expression. "I knew it! Just look at all the work your departnt dumped on you. Why didn’t you delegate as a minister?"

"I agree with Xiao Jingqu," Le Yi chid in. "You’re responsible for compiling the past two years’ data—how could you possibly finish that alone?"

Yu Li sat down and turned her head, her face showing an expression of agreent. "Now I think you guys are absolutely right."

The others were visibly surprised, as if shocked that Yu Li had suddenly co to her senses.

After all, she used to always say it was fine, that everyone else was busy too, and then she’d just take on all the work herself. They had tried persuading her multiple tis to no avail.

As Yu Li spoke, her gaze subtly swept across the entire dorm. Two people were talking to her, while another was busy applying makeup and had no ti to join the conversation.

It seed… this dorm was relatively harmonious.

After quickly confirming her roommates’ identities, Yu Li propped her chin up and opened her laptop. Unfinished data files were still on the screen.

Flipping through them carefully, she realized that the previous Yu Li had already completed an entire year’s worth of data compilation.

So that's why she worked herself to exhaustion? No wonder she had woken up with such a terrible headache.

Yu Li curled her lips slightly and casually opened QQ. At the top of her chat list was a large group nad [Student Council – News Departnt]. Below that, there was another group labeled [News Departnt Ministers].

After skimming through the ssages, Yu Li finally understood what had happened.

It turned out that a teacher had requested online data from the past two years, and the task had been assigned to their departnt. Another minister was originally contacted for it, but they simply passed the responsibility to Yu Li, claiming they were "too busy."

The previous Yu Li had a soft and timid personality, too afraid to speak up. When she tried asking the departnt mbers for help, all she got in return was:

[Senior, I have class, I don’t have ti.]

One person said it, and then everyone else started saying the sa thing.

And in the group chat, the other minister remained silent from beginning to end.

Yu Li’s lips curled slightly, as if she had seen sothing amusing. However, there was no real laughter in her eyes—just a touch of indifference.

The system next to her huffed in outrage. "How can they be like this?!"

Yu Li shot it a calm glance. "Why are you so shocked? Isn’t this part of the character setting data you guys created?"

A coward facing a bunch of freeloaders—too scared to speak up, so she just let them walk all over her.

She spoke so quietly that her roommates didn’t hear.

The system instantly deflated like a punctured balloon, mumbling, "I didn't know about this…"

Ignoring its muttering, Yu Li picked up her phone and sent a ssage in the News Departnt’s group chat.

[@Everyone, if you have classes, send your schedule along with your class na. 😊]

After sending the ssage, the group remained eerily silent, as if no one had noticed it.

Yu Li didn’t bother to check again. Instead, she opened a drama streaming site on her laptop and started watching a show.

"Sis, they’re ignoring you," the system fretted, watching her remain completely unfazed.

"It’s fine." Sooner or later, soone would panic.

Yu Li propped her chin up and picked a show, but after watching a few episodes, she lost interest.

She had thought that the entertainnt industry in her previous world was dood, but this world didn’t seem to be much better.

She switched to a freelance job app, intending to look for part-ti work. Unfortunately, nothing seed suitable. Taking a sip of water, she moistened her slightly dry lips.

Seeing her searching for jobs, the system suggested, "Sis, didn’t you already find Bo Jingmo? Why don’t you go to him? His family is loaded."

Yu Li raised an eyebrow. "Why are you so eager for to find Bo Jingmo? You’re more anxious than a girlfriend."

Besides, all she knew about him were generic online facts—so provincial top scholar, a wealthy family’s young master.

And even if Bo Jingmo was rich, what did that have to do with her? Would he just hand her money?

The system went silent. From its previous observations, Yu Li and Bo Jingmo had an incredibly close relationship. But now, after losing her mory and being separated from him, Yu Li was acting remarkably indifferent—almost like she didn’t care.

It was strange.

Pondering this, the system eventually voiced its thoughts.

Yu Li narrowed her eyes. "You’ve observed us before?"

The system imdiately clamd up and played dumb. "Uh—uhh! I—it was just because I detected danger! That way, I could conveniently collect your souls…"

The system had secrets. But Yu Li had no intention of prying—she wasn’t interested in them.

In truth, she was more curious about what Bo Jingmo had been hiding from her before the car accident.

Lowering her head, she glanced at her phone. The group chat was still devoid of replies.

Tapping her fingers on the desk, she thought for a mont before sending another ssage.

[Deadline: Tomorrow morning at 7 AM. If no one responds, I’ll assu everyone is free.]

With nothing better to do, she opened the Student Council’s group chat and looked at the owner’s na.

When she saw that familiar na, her previously idle gaze sharpened in an instant. After a long pause, she let out a quiet, aningful laugh.

So that's where he was.

The dim light from the desk lamp cast a soft glow on the girl’s face, highlighting her delicate skin. She let out a faint smile, her charming fox-like eyes narrowing slightly, exuding a sense of casual indifference.

Lowering her gaze, her long lashes cast shadows over her eyes. Her fingertips hovered over that na for a second before she tapped on it lightly. She then turned to the system with a smirk.

"See? What’s the rush? Found him."

Displayed clearly under the group owner’s na:

[Student Council President – Bo Jingmo]

It wasn’t until nightti that people finally started submitting their schedules in the group chat. They did have classes—but at most, only one or two sessions.

As for that ignored friend request? Predictably, it remained sitting in the pending list.

Yu Li glanced at it briefly before shutting off her phone. Closing her eyes, she prepared to sleep.

But just as she was about to drift off, the system suddenly shrieked.

"We’re dood! No ti to explain!"

Dood?

Yu Li frowned. Just as she was about to open her eyes, a wave of dizziness suddenly hit her. The sensation was overwhelming, giving her no ti to react.

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself standing in an unfamiliar kitchen, holding a kitchen knife in her hand. A pot beside her was bubbling with steam.

Yu Li: "…"

For a brief mont, she wondered if she had transmigrated again.

Setting down the knife, she looked around.

She was inside a villa. Through the front window, she could even see a garden and a surrounding wall.

The villa had a classic European-style interior—lace tablecloths, intricately carved chairs—each detail exuding an air of luxury. The golden sunlight stread in, making the elegant ho feel incredibly warm.

Yet beneath that surface of perfection, there was sothing eerily unnatural.

Yu Li set the knife down and turned her gaze to the bubbling pot beside her. After a mont of thought, she suddenly reached out and lifted the lid, lowering her eyes to check the contents inside.

—Everything looked like normal food.

She straightened up and calmly called out, "System."

As soon as she spoke, the glowing orb floated in through the window, sounding a little guilty. "Sister..."

Yu Li frowned. "Where is this? Did I transmigrate again?"

The system quickly responded, "No, no, this is still the sa world—just a different setting. I only just found out myself!"

Its form shifted back into a strip-like shape and stretched out into a screen in front of Yu Li. "Look, Sister! It's because these new plotlines suddenly appeared."

Displayed on the screen was a series of rule explanations.

Yu Li: "…"

So, what now?

First, she lost her mory and transmigrated into a novel. And now, they were stacking on another infinite horror film set?

What a ridiculous buff stack.

No wonder that novel plot she had read earlier felt strange. Looks like it ca from a review related to this.

Yu Li lowered her gaze, tracing her fingers over the text on the screen. She noticed that these words were darker than the previous novel script—almost like they had been freshly printed on top, even covering up the earlier text.

Unconsciously, she furrowed her brows. "Every ti a new ssage appears, does it overwrite the original novel plot?"

The system suddenly sounded bashful. "No, no! The original didn’t have this much content—I stole this newbie guide from the protagonist’s system!"

It even waited expectantly for Yu Li to praise it. "How is it? Sister, aren’t I amazing? They have a film set system, but it doesn’t matter—you have !"

Yu Li’s lips twitched. "…Very impressive."

She lowered her head and glanced at her outfit. "So, what’s my role? Am I a character too?"

The system chirped innocently, "Nope! Sister, you’re an NPC! You don’t have the film set system, so you can’t have a role! I secretly sent you in, hehehe."

"…"

Yu Li was silent for a few seconds before suddenly bending down and patting its head. She blinked, her voice carrying a mix of praise and expectation.

"Little Treasure, you’re amazing. Can you help Sister steal a bit more? Sister can only rely on you now."

Normally, she just called it "System." But whenever she needed sothing, Yu Li’s words beca especially sweet.

Little Treasure, Darling—she could say them so naturally.

After years of coaxing Bo Jingmo, she had long lost any embarrassnt over using affectionate nicknas. She could say them effortlessly, without a second thought.

The system, completely unaware that it was being used, swelled with pride at the praise. "Sister, just say the word! Their system isn’t as smart as —I can steal anything!"

Yu Li’s smile deepened with satisfaction. "Really? Little Treasure, you’re amazing."

This system… so easy to fool.
