Morning arrived as the heavy rain faded away, bringing a gradual drop in temperature. Bo Jingmo stood by the bedside, wrapping a scarf around the woman who wasn't fully awake yet. The gentle expression he unintentionally revealed while lowering his head contrasted with his usual deanor.

A simple silver ring faintly visible on the man's finger accentuated his well-defined knuckles, with veins slightly protruding on the back of his hand. Yu Li lazily kept her eyes half-closed, her gaze drifting from his hand to his face.

Rong Fan's knife was a ga item. Although its dark energy could protect Bo Jingmo, it couldn't completely heal such wounds, leaving a faint but noticeable scratch on his face. Even though she had said she didn't mind last night, Bo Jingmo had deliberately avoided showing it while sleeping.

After staring for a few seconds, she suddenly reached out and gently held his hand. The matching diamond ring on her finger reflected delicate light in the air. When he looked at her questioningly, she just slowly nodded.

"Looks good."

Bo Jingmo was montarily stunned by her words, then his eyes curved as he leaned down to plant a light kiss on her cheek. "Sleep in the car later. I made you a sandwich for breakfast, okay?"

Yu Li nodded, then seed to rember sothing and looked up. "Where is Rong Fan now?"

Bo Jingmo's movents paused slightly before quickly returning to normal. He reached out to free a strand of hair trapped under her, speaking softly, "At the hospital."

Last night, the team that handled the situation had taken Rong Fan to the hospital. As for Deva, Bai Shaodong was already swamped with work and had no ti to deal with Rong Fan.

Yu Li kept holding his hand and looked up. "Shall we go see him together?"

Bo Jingmo simply smiled, stroking her cheek. "Alright, if my wife wants to see him, we'll go."

...

The private hospital Bo Jingmo arranged for Rong Fan had strong privacy asures and strict control over personnel entry. Yu Li propped her chin on her hand, observing the surroundings, suddenly feeling this place resembled the psychiatric hospital from before. The only difference was that there weren't so many normal people in the psychiatric hospital.

Rong Fan was lucky... at least Bo Jingmo hadn't actually sent him to a research institute, right?

Closing her eyes, she recalled Rong Fan's background. Rong Fan... seed to be an orphan too. Later adopted by a family, becoming one of them, before eventually entering the ga instances. She had always known what kind of person he was and saw through his ulterior motives in approaching her.

Before, Yu Li thought Rong Fan was like her, so she turned a blind eye to his actions. It wasn't until later that she realized they were different.

When the car stopped, Yu Li unbuckled her seatbelt and was led out by Bo Jingmo. She wore a mask, but Bo Jingmo didn't, instantly attracting most people's attention when he appeared.

A man in a white coat approached. "President Bo, the patient is awake. He was initially agitated but has cald down now, though he doesn't seem willing to speak."

Bo Jingmo nodded slightly. "As long as he's not dead."

Hearing this, cold sweat broke out on the man's forehead as he struggled to respond. Noticing the woman beside Bo Jingmo, their clasped hands, and matching rings, he suddenly understood. "This is...?"

Bo Jingmo nodded slightly. "My wife."

"Ah... Madam Bo, it's an honor to et you." The man quickly extended his hand.

Yu Li replied gently, "Likewise."

While inwardly wondering when President Bo had gotten married, the man kept his expression neutral as he stepped aside. "Please follow ."

Arriving at a hospital room, Yu Li turned and squeezed Bo Jingmo's fingers. "I'll go in alone."

The man released her hand, smiling. "Alright."

Watching her enter the room, Bo Jingmo stood at the doorway, his expression unreadable. Just then, his phone buzzed in his pocket. He withdrew his gaze and took out the phone.

Answering the call, a respectful male voice ca through. "President Bo, regarding Deva's matters..."

Glancing toward the hospital room, Bo Jingmo walked toward a less crowded area.

Inside the room, Rong Fan lay on the bed, looking out the window. Hearing the door open, he didn't react. Only when footsteps approached the bed and then stopped did he sense sothing unusual. Doctors and nurses wouldn't act like this.

Pausing, Rong Fan slowly turned his head and unexpectedly t Yu Li's calm gaze. He froze montarily before his lips subconsciously curved upward.

"I thought Bo Jingmo would hide this from you."

The woman removed her mask, speaking evenly. "Sothing this trivial isn't worth hiding."

Trivial...

Rong Fan kept repeating the word silently before suddenly laughing. The movent tugged at his shoulder wound, causing a sharp pain that made him suck in a breath between laughs.

After recovering, he looked up ruefully. "So Bo Jingmo beating like this is trivial in your eyes."

Yu Li pulled over a chair and sat down. "He wouldn't have done this if you hadn't deliberately provoked him."

"How did I provoke him? I didn't do anything." Rong Fan said without a trace of guilt.

Yu Li propped her chin on her hand, watching him. "Did you think I didn't know you had reporters secretly taking photos that night?"

So even without those two roommates, what happened that night would have reached Bo Jingmo's ears. Rong Fan's smile froze before he shrugged. "Fine, I admit I did."

Then he added fuel to the fire: "But I hadn't even released the photos yet when he ca after . Yu Li, this shows he doesn't trust you at all, having people follow you."

"He wouldn't. Bo Jingmo isn't like you."

Yu Li only offered this brief explanation. Yet these few words made Rong Fan's expression stiffen completely.

Not like him? Again with this difference? What exactly made him different from Bo Jingmo?

Yu Li crossed her arms, staring at him. After a mont, she suddenly asked, "Rong Fan, do you like Limu?"

Hearing this, Rong Fan paused. Raising his head, he t Yu Li's gaze quietly for several seconds before suddenly smiling. "Of course I do."

"Liar."

The woman directly exposed his falsehood. Twirling the ring on her finger, her tone remained calm as ever. "Back then, you deliberately made yourself visible to , letting see you get beaten, just to evoke my pity."

"Rong Fan, after all these years, haven't you achieved your wish yet?"

At this mont, Rong Fan's smile completely disappeared, though he still pretended to be hurt as he sighed. "Limu, there's no need to say it like that. I truly admired you back then, running around for you. I did no less than Yu Jiao, yet you treated her better than ."

"Admired ?"

Yu Li gave him a sidelong glance. "Rong Fan, do you really think I don't know what you truly wanted? Using my reputation, you've lived quite well these years."

Amid the man's silent stillness, she slowly added, "After replacing that child, weren't you satisfied?"
