The voice exploded like thunder beside Yu Yu's ears, making her heart leap violently as her eyes snapped open. The first thing she saw was a jade-white hand, its slender fingers lightly picking up the na badge on the desk, accompanied by a girl's soft laughter.

"I was still worried about my na badge, so I ca back to look for it. And just as I returned, I heard you saying you'd found it."

Looking up, Yu Yu t a pair of fox-like smiling eyes. Her heart inexplicably skipped a beat, her breath catching as her expression stiffened slightly.

Why was she the nervous one when it was the other girl who had been caught eavesdropping and fled in panic? Seeing the girl acting completely unbothered, Yu Yu suddenly felt an inexplicable discomfort.

She'd been worrying herself sick, yet this person remained so calm?

Tonight was supposed to be Yu Yu and Dai Liu's shift patrolling the fourth floor. When the ti ca, Dai Liu looked utterly resigned as she packed her things, but unexpectedly, Yu Yu suddenly spoke up:

"Dai Liu, let Yu Li go tonight. You stay on the third floor."

Dai Liu hesitated, "Ah? Sister Yu, that doesn't seem appropriate..."

Yu Yu lowered her eyes to organize her things, her tone unreadable: "It's fine. I'll go with Yu Li. There are so things I want to talk to her about."

After straightening the logbook, she calmly looked up: "Is that okay, Yu Li?"

"This..."

While Dai Liu still hesitated, Yu Li beside her had already t Yu Yu's gaze. She obediently curved her eyes, the corners of her lips lifting slightly.

"Of course, Sister Yu."

...

This ti, the two chose to take the elevator up.

It was Yu Chi's request. He explained that taking the stairs would make it easier for the malicious ghost to detect them. Though Yu Yu had taken the stairs many tis without encountering that ghost, she followed her younger brother's suggestion to avoid unnecessary trouble.

The two stood silently in the elevator, maintaining an unspoken agreent of quiet. Finally, Yu Yu broke the silence. Instead of asking about the na badge, she spoke evenly: "Didn't the director tell you to go ho and rest? Why did you co back?"

Yu Li maintained her smiling expression, but her words starkly contrasted with her gentle tone: "Sister Yu, I believe I just explained my reason."

"..."

Yu Yu's eyes darkened as she tightened her grip on the logbook. "Yu Li... are you really going to play dumb with ? You know exactly what I'm talking about."

"Ding—"

The elevator reached the fourth floor. The pitch-black hallway unfolded before them, its silent danger spreading like so vicious beast lurking in the darkness.

Yu Li curved her eyes, slightly lowering her head to cover her mouth with her hand, yet her amused laughter still slipped through her fingers: " playing dumb? Sister Yu, isn't it you who's been playing dumb with all along?"

The girl's soft, soothing laughter echoed quietly down the hallway, yet it inexplicably sent chills down one's spine.

Her palms already soaked with sweat, Yu Yu's muscles tensed. Then the girl's aningful question shattered all pretense:

"How does it feel to et a ghost?"

Yu Yu's pupils contracted violently, her heart struck by an electric current—first stopping abruptly, then racing at breakneck speed. In the confined, dim space, the "thump-thump" sounded thunderous, amplifying her nervousness until even breathing beca difficult.

"You..."

So...

Yu Li had indeed seen it!!

As if confirming her suspicion, the girl stepped out of the elevator, glancing back with a lazy smile playing at her lips.

"What? Isn't this exactly why you brought here—to ask about this?"

Yu Li leaned against the wall, toying with a pen in her fingers as she lazily lifted her eyes. "Sister Yu, I told you on the first day that I'm very sensitive to these things. So your question is actually pointless."

Hearing this, Yu Yu's breathing hitched, her face frighteningly pale. "Then why did you still co...?"

Knowing exactly what she wanted, why co?

The girl arched a brow, turning to look behind her with narrowed, smiling eyes.

"Because I have questions too. Like... what's your relationship with this male ghost?"

As her words fell, the air seed to freeze montarily. Then from the darkness erged a frail-looking young ghost.

Recognizing his face, Yu Li's expression cleared with realization: "You two really do look alike."

The boy remained silent, his sickly pale eyes fixed unblinkingly on her, expressionless. His weak, pallid appearance made him seem completely harmless.

Yu Li maintained her faint smile throughout their silent standoff until the boy finally spoke coldly: "I sense that evil ghost's aura on you."

"...Evil ghost?"

Yu Li's fingers paused briefly before she realized he'd detected Bo Jingmo's presence on her. She hadn't expected him to sense even that.

She blinked, tapping her arm with a finger as she arched a brow. "Isn't that normal? That evil ghost is my target. To catch him, I naturally need to get close."

Her words left both Yu Yu and Yu Chi montarily stunned, while the other observers seed equally confused.

Then the girl smiled and asked:

"What? Never seen a young Taoist priest before?"

Yu Yu and Yu Chi: ?

The audience: ?

Sister, how can you just switch identities like this??

[Brilliant! I never imagined she'd use this identity to explain the situation.]

[This male ghost is really alert—he could actually sense the aura.]

[Earlier when Bo Jingmo said this evil ghost was powerful, it seems true. And he's cunning too, hiding his strength and pretending to be weak to lower people's guard.]

[I could tell earlier—he brainwashed Yu Yu with just a few words, twisting concepts.]

[Yu Li's really bold, knowing he's a ghost yet daring to reveal her "Taoist priest" identity?]

[Because this ghost is currently pretending to be weak! Didn't he tell Yu Yu he wanted to eliminate Bo Jingmo? Now a Taoist priest showing up is perfect timing.]

[But maintaining the priest identity won't be easy. If Yu Li lacks real skills, she'll be exposed quickly.]

[I hadn't even considered that concern. For so reason, every word from this woman's mouth carries inexplicable conviction.]

[Haha, sa here. The last person who gave this feeling was Limu.]

[Not just that—her playstyle is so similar to Limu's. Could they actually be sisters??]

...

Yu Li's sudden claim of being a Taoist priest caught everyone—living and dead—completely off guard.

Yu Chi narrowed his eyes, a hint of danger leaking through.

"You're a Taoist priest? But I've heard priests carry talismans to capture ghosts. Can you draw them?"

Yu Li lightly touched her lips with a finger, smiling calmly. "Those are last century's thods. I naturally have new techniques."

"What? Want to try them out?"
