1218 Making a Plan

Tan Hu and Tan Bao ca up with a plan and decided to go to Qiao i’s house tonight. Tan Jing obediently drew a layout of Qiao i’s house with the locations of all the doors. She only had a vague mory of the place and could not even rember where the study was located.

When the house was being renovated, Qiao i had asked the builder to construct many secret rooms. This was sothing which Qiao i enjoyed doing. One might enter a room which looked like a small bedroom, but if one gently pushed the bookcase aside, one might be able to find a wine cellar containing Qiao i’s collection of good wines.

Qiao i definitely would not put the ginseng dicinal wine out in the open. She had extracted a small bottle of concentrated juice, ready to be diluted whenever she needed. In particular, the 1,000-year-old ginseng juice continued to glow in the dark even with all the lights turned off.

Qiao i bought a small wooden box to contain it and wrapped the box up tightly. The most dangerous place was usually the safest place. Qiao i simply placed the box on a shelf in the kitchen. After all, no one would imagine that such a precious item would be kept in the kitchen.

“Do you really intend to go now? There are people living in the backyard house behind Qiao i’s house! Her grandfather is there,” Tan Jing reminded them out of kindness.

Tan Hu could not be bothered with Qiao Qiang. So what even if there were 100 Qiao Qiangs? He was just an old man, was he not?

“How dangerous can an old man be? He’s already on his deathbed. I thought that Qiao girl brought her grandfather to the capital to get treatnt for his illness? As if a sick man can do anything. You’re really ignorant and inexperienced, so much so that you’re even afraid of an old man,” Tan Hu said disdainfully.

Since Tan Hu put it across this way, there was nothing Tan Jing could say to dissuade him. She would let them do whatever they wanted. If anything happened, it would have nothing to do with her. She also wanted to see the Tan family fall apart. It was all thanks to these scumbags that she had reached this point. Her life was already ruined, so these people could forget about living well!

The two n quietly set off in the middle of the night.

“Eldest Brother, which door are we using?” Tan Bao asked innocently.

Tan Hu said confidently, “Idiot! How can we enter through the door? We’re going there to steal sothing! We’re not guests! Of course we have to climb over the wall!”

The two of them chatted happily along the way and even fantasized about their wonderful lives in the future. They were only completely dumbfounded when they saw the towering listone wall surrounding Qiao i’s house.

“Eldest Brother… this… can we make our way up there? Are we at the wrong place?” Tan Bao asked with a trembling voice.

However, when they reached the main door, they realized that they were at the right place. This high-walled compound was really Qiao i’s house. Tan Hu would have to stand on Tan Bao’s shoulders to climb over the wall and it was going to be a very strenuous thing to do. Only one person could go in as the other person had to keep watch outside.

However, it was going to be easy to go in but difficult to co out. After he was done, it was not as if he could walk out through the door. Then what was the point of climbing over the wall?

The two of them walked around Qiao i’s house again and again, but they still could not figure out where to make their move. However, Qiao Qiang and Xia Jun, who were in the house, had long noticed their footsteps. Qiao Qiang’s room was close to the street and even if he was not trying to be vigilant, why would soone keep wandering around near the house in the middle of the night?

The two of them were army veterans who had been through nurous battles, so they had an awareness of such things.

“Say, which two unlucky fellows are hanging around here in the middle of the night instead of sleeping?” Xia Jun whispered with a smile.

“Hmph, no matter what, it definitely has nothing to do with or my i i. It’s all related to your eldest grandson!” Qiao Qiang said moodily.

“I don’t believe it! Our Xia Wen hasn’t done anything bad. How can it be because of him? Furthermore, Cheng Gu’s remaining accomplices have all been captured in one fell swoop. Whatever happened would not happen again,” Xia Jun said sternly.

“You’re still talking about Cheng Gu! Don’t tell that there can’t be so other Nan Gu or Bei Gu appearing in the future? Besides, do you think these clumsy people are real criminals? If they continue to loiter around for a while longer, it will be dawn before they get anything done!” Qiao Qiang said.

Although there were not many secret guards stationed around Qiao i’s house, there were still a few elite soldiers assigned here to protect Xia Jun and Qiao Qiang. The guards had long discovered these two people who were behaving weirdly, but this was the first ti they had seen such stupid thieves and they saw it as a joke. The guard team mbers also wanted to know what these two n were after.
