The little fox felt her body change and looked at Gu Changqing in astonishnt, her eyes filled with deep bewildernt.

“You… how did you do that?”

Gu Changqing ignored the little fox’s mutterings and focused all his attention, concentrating his power on her body.

His cheeks were sowhat pale. Clearly invoking the power of the Dao laws affected him adversely, given his current condition.

The little fox’s wounds were healing rapidly, but they were only those eroded by the cursed rain.

Her body remained emaciated, and although her fur regrew, it was still dull and lifeless. Her blood lacked color, and the divine radiance within it remained faint and bleak.

Gu Changqing could feel it.

The curse within the little fox’s bloodline.

The curse was terrifying, like an eternal brand laid down by a peerless primordial ancestor. Even if he used the power of the Heavenly Dao’s laws to wash it, it remained impossible to cleanse even a fraction.

“UEGHHH!”

The next mont, Gu Changqing could no longer endure and violently spat a mouthful of blood.

The little fox pulled away from his palm, a bitter look flashing in her eyes. “It’s useless. The one who placed this curse is far too powerful.”

Outside the mirror.

The cultivators’ expressions shifted slightly.

The mont Gu Changqing manifested the power of the laws, everyone could sense the imnse force contained within it.

But even so, it still couldn’t wash away so much as a bit of that curse!

“What on earth did this little fox offend to have such a curse planted on her!?” a cultivator said in astonishnt.

The level of this bloodline curse was clearly extrely high.

Judging from the little fox’s behavior, she was just an ordinary demon — why would such a powerful being target her? And instead of killing her, they rely planted a curse?

The days that followed.

Aside from the daily traveling, Gu Changqing continued to cultivate day and night.

His fierce, utterly unreasonable cultivation talent once again revealed itself.

Since entering the Heavenly Dao cultivation path, his cultivation speed had practically skyrocketed.

The Heavenly Dao laws he commanded continued to multiply.

Ti, space, fate, creation, destruction, the Five Elents…

He was like the ancestor of laws, surrounded by countless laws. With a single thought, heaven and earth shifted.

And his corresponding realm within the Heavenly Dao had reached the Great Power stage.

To reach this level in just a few months — even those who had grown accustod to the Heavenly Emperor’s cultivation speed couldn’t help but curse.

“He’s really not human! Damn it!”

The little fox’s body grew weaker and weaker.

The bloodline curse was activated again, thinning the divinity in her bloodline. Her body beca even more emaciated, like an old fox gravely ill.

She even found it incredibly difficult to move.

“I might truly not be able to go on.”

“You will. This ti, let protect you.”

Their roles seed reversed. Once she protected him, now he protected her.

The little fox could hardly maintain her true form. She transford into a human form and collapsed into Gu Changqing’s arms.

Despite being in the peak of her youth, she was like a withered skeleton, lacking even an ounce of weight.

She veiled her face with a light scarf, unwilling to let Gu Changqing see her face.

She once still had half a face that could charm the entire world. But now the curse had corroded her delicate features.

She said, “If I die, if you still rember half of my face, that’s fine — at least the image of in your heart once kept half of that beauty.”

“I don’t want even that little beauty to be shattered in your heart.”

Outside the mirror.

The cultivators stared at the sight of the man carrying the petite woman’s body as he walked in the wind and rain — their expressions were sowhat moved.

“Do you feel that the Heavenly Emperor’s relationship with this little fox is becoming more and more peculiar?” a cultivator spoke up.

They had assud the Heavenly Emperor was ruthless and would never hold this fox demon in his heart.

But now they gradually realized that this little fox held an extrely important place in the Heavenly Emperor’s heart.

When the little fox entered the Forbidden Zone, she could have abandoned Gu Changqing as a burden and left — yet she didn’t.

Gu Changqing, having resud cultivation, could have left the little fox behind as a burden to seek opportunities and exit the Forbidden Zone — but he didn’t.

Neither abandoned the other, just as they had said upon entering the Forbidden Zone.

They were really prepared to live together and die together!

They had thought it was just a casual remark, but to their surprise, both were actually living by it.

By now even a fool could see the status of this little fox in the Heavenly Emperor’s heart.

They felt that if this little fox died, the Heavenly Emperor would surely go mad!

“Perhaps it was because of this little fox’s death that the Heavenly Emperor beca so cruel and heartless!”

Everyone had seen the Heavenly Emperor’s true nature.

If anyone had the qualification to change the Heavenly Emperor’s temperant, this little fox was certainly the most likely turning point.

“I’m already worried about this little fox’s fate.”

“Perhaps they never actually found the Reincarnation Sea and the little fox’s curse wasn’t erased at all.”

“After all, later on, there was no trace of this little fox by the Heavenly Emperor’s side.”
