Dragon and the Dragon Slayer (2)

“Speaking of which, don’t you feel hot?”

Zhuo Fu ca closer, curiously reached out, and touched Shi An’s hand.

The young man’s palm was slender, the skin cool and soft, with a refreshing coolness like the texture of smooth jade, in such a scorching temperature, simply making people want to touch it a few more tis.

“Wow!”

Zhuo Fu brightened up and his gaze on Shi An instantly changed.

“Good gracious! You are my savior!”

Wen Yao, who witnessed everything: “…”

She cleared her throat and coughed hard.

But Zhuo Fu was so imrsed in the joy that he didn’t hear it.

He opened his arms. “Hurry up, quick! Let hug you. I will buy you ice cream when we return–”

The rest of the words were stuck in his throat.

In that instant, so horrible sense of danger descended like being stared at by so large predator, and a weird sense of trepidation climbed and spread along his spine.

Zhuo Fu: “…”

He stiffened and slowly twisted his head.

–And t Mu Heng’s emotionless blue eyes.

Zhuo Fu: “…”

Damn.

I’m done for.

Wen Yao, on the side, averted her eyes as if nothing had happened.

She had been rciful to the end.

Five minutes later.

Mu Heng calmly withdrew his gaze, stretched out his hand, and naturally took Shi An into his arms.

The young man’s slender fra and cold skin were like a soft jade, very comfortable to hold.

Shi An looked past Mu Heng behind him, hesitantly saying,“That…”

Mu Heng’s voice was cold and calm. “Don’t worry. He likes to serve everybody.”

Zhuo Fu miserably dragged the whole team’s enormous bags of luggage, moving slowly after the end of the group.

His eyes were teary, his gaze hollow and desperate.

Truly regretting it now.

Temporary custody office.

All the captured rcenaries were kept here. The narrow prison cell was dimly lit and a suffocating stench filled the air. So rcenaries buried their heads and drifted off to sleep while others just closed their eyes and simply rested.

At this mont, two rcenaries opened their eyes.

Although they both looked grim, there was a different, strange glint under their eyes.

The two exchanged a glance across the dimly lit corridor.

Next, one of them fished a small piece of iron out of his pocket, which had been secretly hidden away.

The sharp blade cut through the skin and warm blood flowed out. He dipped his fingers in it and drew a small regular circular spell formation on the ground.

A mysterious totem was in the center of the spell formation.

The spell slowly lit up with the suppressed chanting and reciting, releasing a blood-red light outward.

The man disguised as a rcenary dropped his head, leaned down, and approached the spell with his lips, whispering a few rambling words.

Another person watched him from afar.

After a few minutes, the spell went dim.

The “rcenary” reverently approached the spell with his lips, kissing the dusty and blood-soaked ground.

The next second, the two n simultaneously picked up their hidden sharp objects, the sharp corner close to their throats, and slowly but firmly pulled open a cut, little by little cutting their muscles and airways.

Rolling scarlet blood spurted out, instantly staining the ground red, and the pattern was subrged, disappearing into a smooth, mirror-like pool of scarlet blood.

If anyone in charge of the interrogation had seen this scene, they would have been shocked into losing their words.

Among these two, the first was a rcenary captured during the battle at sea.

It was he who revealed the location of the rcenary base.

And the other one was captured inside the rcenary base.

He was the one who revealed the critical clue that could lead to the location of the treasure.

Soon, the two corpses stopped twitching, the last vestiges of life escaped from their half-open mouths, and the light under their eyes turned lax, but their faces both wore delighted smiles.

The place where the rcenaries hid the dragon’s treasure was not a cave.

Instead, it was a semi-open-air volcanic crater.

Gold and silver treasures piled up like a mountain, almost filling the entire valley, separated by a thick layer of smoke and dust, scarlet light shining not far from the top of the volcano reflected in the bright and smooth surface of the gem, gilding a layer of evil and ominous red light for the imnse wealth in front of them.

The dragon treasure reflected a halo of light, almost lighting up half of the sky.

The bright, seductive golden light was dizzying.

Although they were already prepared, in the face of such a large number of treasures, people still couldn’t help but reveal a stunned and dumbfounded look.

Shi An subconsciously stepped forward.

That was right.

These items were indeed his treasures.

Every single one of them.

He held his breath as he gazed at these treasures left behind for 10,000 years and a hint of suppressed fire swept through his eyes.

The dragon’s nature was screaming from the bottom of his heart.

Hurry up and grab them all back!

At this mont, Mu Heng’s calm and cold voice ca behind him. With his head lowered, he seed to be instructing sothing to Wen Yao.

Although he did not hear precisely what he was saying, it still brought Shi An back from his bewitched state.

He blinked and the tyrannical scarlet light under his eyes disappeared.

Shi An took a deep breath and withdrew his gaze.
