Ji Tian learned for the first ti that her system actually had this ability. She clenched her fist, feeling that indeed her Strength Value had increased and her body felt sowhat lighter. Suddenly interested, she asked, "How much do I have in each of these values? Can I see them?"

In her mind, a panel appeared. In front of her, beside the Strength Value, one section was lit up, after the Life Value, there was a 25, while the rest were all gray, with zeros following them. Her gaze stopped at the Luck Value, which not only was gray but also showed a -1. Her face darkened; no wonder she was so unlucky. With a negative Luck Value, how could it be that she had torn Qin Jiangsheng's clothes and even suffered a social death today? Rembering this, she found it absurd and wondered if there was any way to redy it.

At the top, there was a five-year countdown, timing her possible imprisonnt and the Ji Family's bankruptcy, which suddenly made her feel an enormous pressure.

An idea struck her: "If I max out all these values, would my ultimate fate change?"

This ti, the King of Competition was silent for a long ti before slowly saying, "Maybe it could, but it's very difficult."

Her eyes lit up; as long as there was a chance for change, that was a good thing. She certainly had no desire to go to prison.

Ji Tian's heart ward a bit: "So if I maxed out my Luck Value, would I beco super incredibly lucky? To the extent that even pies could fall from the sky?"

The King of Competition's voice carried a rare hint of speechlessness: "Even knives could fall."

Ji Tian really looked at her trash system for the first ti with a sense of awe: "How can you be so amazing?"

"Heh, perfect people don't need these buffs to be amazing, and I am the trashiest of all systems. You should think in a different way about why you're bound to ; if you weren't a waste, you'd be amazing too."

Ji Tian: "..."

Why did this trash system talk so venomously? It was even better at throwing insults than she was.

The King of Competition yawned, then said listlessly with his final words, "Don't try to change the plot, and don't provoke the male and female leads. It's ti for my afternoon tea, goodbye."

Ji Tian could only scoff. Was it she who wanted to provoke them?

Clearly, it was that pair of leads who wouldn't let the Ji Family off the hook in the future, which ant they wouldn't leave her alone either!

As for the plot, Ji Tian narrowed her eyes slightly. How could she know it couldn't be changed without trying?

She was never the type to just sit around waiting for death.

After school in the afternoon, Ji Tian dashed out of the classroom.

In doing so, she missed Ji Weinan, who had co looking for her. He was waiting to go ho with Ji Tian because of the morning's incident, which had left him upset and increasingly angry the more he thought about it.

He had just reached the door when soone bumped straight into his arms. Reeling from the montum, he took a step back, instinctively steadying her form with his hands.

Seeing who it was, he frowned deeply, "Shen Zhiyi, are you blind?"

Shen Zhiyi glanced at him with red eyes, then turned her head away and ran past Ji Weinan, leaving him baffled. However, the lingering soft warmth of her body on his hands left him sowhat shaken.

It wasn't until Bai Tingyu ca over with a cold expression that he ca back to his senses and asked, "Brother Yu, what's wrong with her?"

Bai Tingyu sneered, "I tore up her howork."

Ji Weinan took another look at the retreating figure of Shen Zhiyi. She wasn't as pretty as his little sister, but there was a kind of inexplicable force that drew him to her.

Making her seem more special than anyone else.

He hesitated to speak, and seeing the smirk on Bai Tingyu's lips, it was apparent that Shen Zhiyi's frustration pleased him.

He decided to let it be; it wasn't his business anyway. It was Shen Zhiyi's bad luck to have bumped into Brother Yu.

Casting Shen Zhiyi from his mind, he peered into the classroom, puzzled, "Where's my little sister? Why isn't she in the classroom?"

Bai Tingyu, with his schoolbag slung over one shoulder, walked out, saying, "She left the mont the bell rang."

Ji Weinan: "???"

This was not like his little sister, who was always striving to improve.

She would usually sit in the classroom for a while longer before going ho. Lately, she had been returning particularly quickly; she wasn't even studying, just eating and drinking at ho, and then lying down, enjoying life even more than he did.

He raised his hand and scratched his head, "Alright, Brother Yu, let's go ho together."

As soon as Ji Tian left the school gates, she got into the car and instructed Uncle Zhou, the driver, to head for the nearest bank. She needed to withdraw money.

She discovered that although she had no worries about food and drink, she couldn't produce a single cent from her pocket, and her WeChat balance was only twenty yuan. All her money was in the bank card.

After thinking it over, she decided to take a roundabout approach to solve the problem. She still couldn't afford to offend Qin Jiangsheng, the major antagonist. Her situation was already bad enough. Adding another person who held a grudge against her—did she even want to live anymore?

Uncle Zhou glanced at Ji Tian's grave expression in the rearview mirror and felt a bit uneasy. He asked casually, "Miss, why do you need to withdraw money all of a sudden?"

Uncle Zhou, a middle-aged man in his forties, had worked for her family for many years. He was always the one to chauffeur her. He didn't talk much, but he was hard-working and honest.

Upon hearing this, Ji Tian honestly replied, "Might as well spend a bit more while I still have money."

The King of Competition said her fate of ending up in prison might change, but she needed to accumulate Laziness Power. Even if she could change her own ending, the Ji Family's fate remained on track.

It said that she couldn't change the plot.

Ji Tian didn't believe in such nonsense. Even if she couldn't change it, she couldn't let her family fall to the worst possible state.

It was Ji Tian's ambiguous statent that gave Uncle Zhou a start. The Ji Family had a big household and a large business; they couldn't possibly go bankrupt. He rather liked his job.

Not only could he slack off, but he also got paid.

Soon, the car reached the bank.

Ji Tian rushed in with great excitent.

She had only one card. Her New Year's money, pocket money, and the million her second brother transferred to her were all in this card. By herself, she was also quite wealthy.

Except she entered with a smile and ca out with a wooden expression.

Great, goddamn it, the money inside was frozen, and it wouldn't be unfrozen until she turned twenty-two.

No wonder the Ji Tian in the book had such a terrible end—she had no money to scrape by because it was all locked in the bank!

By the ti she really got in there, it would be too late.

And without money, how was she going to buy Qin Jiangsheng a new T-shirt?

Ji Tian was extrely worried, her brows locked tightly together, incapable of smoothing out.

Her gaze shifted and fell on Uncle Zhou, who wasn't far away. An idea struck her, "Uncle Zhou, when your daughter gives gifts to friends, how much does she usually spend?"

Uncle Zhou was from an ordinary family and obviously couldn't spend tens or hundreds of thousands like the Ji Family. He conservatively nad the largest amount he thought reasonable, "Around a hundred or so."

Around a hundred was indeed enough to buy a very nice cotton T-shirt.

She smiled sweetly, "Uncle Zhou, lend a hundred. I'll pay you back in a few days."

Uncle Zhou, "???"

Was he deaf?

His Miss was asking him for a loan? And only for a hundred?

A not-so-good thought crossed his mind... Was the Ji Family having a cash flow problem?

Cash flow problem = Layoffs.

Layoffs = Unemploynt.

Uncle Zhou turned pale and in that mont, he resolved never to slack off at work again!
