Chapter 248: Chapter 243: Dispute

Gong Dongxi rolled her eyes at Hang ngting, her tone dripping with sarcasm, “If you think waiting is difficult, why don’t you go ahead on your own? Don’t try to press us with your ‘Miss Fancy Pants’ status—I doubt the Central Continent’s reach extends all the way to the Capital City.”

In her eyes, what did it matter if one was from the number one family or not? Didn’t they all just happen to be born into wealthy households? She didn’t see herself as much different, so she didn’t feel the need to cater to Hang ngting.

Hang ngting’s face turned sour. If it weren’t for Li ng, she wouldn’t have bothered coming to this program to suffer.

“Alright, let’s just wait for the arrangents,” Li ng interjected, extinguishing the sparks between the two. He turned to Ji Tian with a warm smile, “Ji Tian, then we’ll leave the money with you. You can handle the planning for our next leg of the journey. Does anyone have any objections?”

Tang Yu was the first to shake her head, “None.”

Those who were siding with Ji Tian obviously had no complaints.

Feng Xu admitted to himself that he wasn’t as sharp-tongued as Ji Tian; he couldn’t win an argunt against her, especially not while filming the show. He didn’t want to rehash his brother’s issues, which could end up affecting him as well.

So, it really was annoying of Ji Tian to bring up this matter in front of the whole internet!

Ji Tian didn’t want to delay any longer, recognizing that ti was money. She took the funds and declared, “Let’s head out of the airport first.”

The group made their way toward the exit.

Feng Xu clenched his teeth in frustration, then turned to Hang ngting with a forced smile, saying in a gentleman-like manner, “Thank you, Miss Hang, for the help.”

Hang ngting didn’t even spare him a side glance and turned her head to whine at Li ng, “Li ng, would you carry , please? My legs are so sore~”

Li ng smiled faintly, “We’re on the program now. Walk on your own, be good.”

Hang ngting had been on the verge of throwing a fit, but after Li ng simply uttered the word ‘good’, she imdiately complied with a soft reply, staying close to him in a dependent manner.

[Oh my, are these two an item? I know this Li ng; he made it into last year’s Battle Royale World Championship, but only reached the top eight. From Ji Tian’s tone, is her YXC team going against Li ng’s JC team for a spot? Interesting! That ans of the nine people here, three belong to rival camps.]

[Pfft, Feng Xu should just give up already. His WQ team is struggling in the losers’ bracket to get a spot in the grand finals. I doubt he stands a chance. Does he think the internet has no mory? His brother Wind God caused such a scandal, duping won and conning money. As his brother, turning up and picking a fight with Ji Tian right from the start—does he really think we can’t see through him? He’s no different from his brother.]

[My Sweetie is unbeatable; no one can take advantage of her. Love seeing her put them in their place!]

Outside the airport, the temperature had dropped significantly. Ji Tian adjusted her cap upon stepping out, where there were tallic stands holding tourism guides to the country, hotel accommodations, as well as restaurant recomndations—all labeled in French. While everyone was sowhat familiar with English, they hadn’t learned French. Jian Chuyi imdiately took out her phone to translate, but translating sentence by sentence was far too ti-consuming.

Hang ngting ca out, casually flipping through the guides, and looking down on everyone struggling with the French language. With a smirk, she pointed and suggested, “Let’s stay here; it’s spacious. I can’t get used to other places; any dust would give rashes.”

Gong Dongxi glanced over and, though she didn’t know French, recognized the Arabic nurals.

Her eyes widened at the price, “50 euros a night? We have a total of just 60 euros, and for one room. So what, you plan to take a room for yourself and the rest of us can just sleep on the streets?”

“And you’re allergic to dust? You’d be choked to death by the dust in the air.”

It was Gong Dongxi’s first ti encountering soone more delicate than herself. If her brother hadn’t forced her to participate in this program, she wouldn’t have co at all!

Hang ngting replied with a cold face, “Can this show really let us starve to death? If we run out of money, they’ll naturally provide more. If it really cos down to it, I’ll cover the cost myself.”

Saying it as if nobody else could afford it.

Gong Dongxi spread his hands, “Okay, bring the money, right now, imdiately.”

Hang ngting realized when she reached for her purse that all her cards and money had been handed over, her face turned beet red in a mont.

“Hah, don’t take yourself too seriously. This isn’t Central Continent; we certainly won’t indulge you!”

Ji Tian waited until their argunt had almost died down before speaking, “Are you done arguing? If so, listen to —we’ll stay at this hotel for 70 euros.”

“Are you out of your mind?” Gong Dongxi was furious. If they spent all the money on accommodation, what would they eat?

She ca to her senses, exasperated, “We only have 60 euros. How can we afford a 70-euro place?”

Ji Tian was very calm, “Ask the show’s crew to lend us so.” She turned to Yu Chuang, “Is that possible?”

Yu Chuang smiled, “Of course, how much do you want to borrow?”

Ji Tian shalessly asked, “One hundred euros.”

Yu Chuang’s face remained expressionless, “No, I can lend you up to 30 euros, and not a euro more.”

She coughed lightly, “Alright then.”

She dialed the hotel’s phone, and soone would drive over to pick them up.

[Wow, there’s this move too? Using up all their savings on finding a place to stay, if they manage a great al before noon, they’d get a reward of 10 euros, but would still be 20 euros in debt, and there are still four days left, what to do?]

[I can’t see through what this is all about either, I kind of dislike this Hang ngting. Aren’t all the ones who join the show young masters and mistresses? She acts as if she can’t touch dust at all. Why doesn’t she just go live in the sky?]

[Tsk, the Hang Family’s second young miss from Central Continent, of course, she has to be a bit more delicate. She lost the common folks’ favor upon arrival; I really don’t know what she’s thinking.]

[You guys are taking it too seriously. She’s just here to have fun casually, not to enter the entertainnt industry. Why care about her reputation? Besides, she’s not wrong. To a princess erging from a castle, wouldn’t everywhere else seem like slums? Stop being so sour; just watch it for fun.]

Because of Hang ngting’s quarrel with Gong Dongxi, people started to find Gong Dongxi more to their liking, even though they looked at him with disdain; it was still better than Hang ngting’s delicate deanor.

While waiting for the car, Ji Tian patiently explained to them, “Look here, this hotel offers two standard double rooms for 70 euros for two days and one night. It’s currently the offseason for tourism, and this is a promotion the hotel is running, but breakfast, lunch, and dinner are not included. We have to handle our als, but the hotel partnered with a restaurant for a promotion. We can go check it out at noon, and transportation is still included, saving us the trouble of searching randomly.”

Jian Chuyi’s eyes lit up, “That’s much more convenient. Over two days and one night, we can make it last three days. Tiantian, do you speak French?”

Ji Tian responded vaguely, “Mhm, a little. The car’s here, let’s get on.”

Li ng looked at Ji Tian, finding it hard to believe that she was just a girl not yet eighteen, who had managed to secure accommodations and a place for lunch in an unfamiliar city upon arrival; this remarkable leadership ability made him understand why the team was willing to have her as a coach despite her young age.

Because she was truly outstanding, with an extraordinary family background…

Thinking this, he glanced at Hang ngting, who was clinging to him.

The Ji Family was not intimidated by the Hang Family of Central Continent; it was just that the Hang Family was a local tyrant, overly praised, so naturally, people assud they were more formidable than the four families of the Capital City.

Beauty, wealth, and power.

He lowered his lashes, thinking.

Dealing with the little trouble that was Hang ngting shouldn’t pose a big problem for her, right?
