Sives frowned, continuing to concentrate on her palm, and Rain continued to watch her until he was interrupted by the system's voice.

"Part of my mind keeps a constant countdown regardless of my state of consciousness. I made it in case you wanted to throw sothing out that would change my perception of ti."

Rain was surprised at her answer, but soon grinned to himself.

'I almost forgot that she is not human and to judge her by human standards would be foolish. And while her caution is surprising, she is still too naive compared to humans. After all, rather than change her perception of ti, I'd rather change her.''

When our race first learned of this, they couldn't accept that their bloodline was mixed with human blood, and imdiately tried to kill her to erase such a defective object from the world."

"Ophelia actually almost died a couple tis, but in the end she was able to use it as an opportunity to beco stronger and reveal the true power of her bloodline. Although it was hard for Rain to agree with it, he understood her race's way of thinking.

They originally didn't consider humans as their equals and even though humans had strong representatives in their race, they didn't change their general opinion of them.

If a strong ant appeared tomorrow, would that an that people would start treating ants as equals? They were thinking along similar lines about humans.

Noting in his head, Rain turned to the main question that had been troubling him for so ti now.

"How did you know I'm related to the Goddess of Darkness?"

"By the familiar aura around you."

Sives answered honestly, not trying to hide anything.

"You've t the Goddess?"

"I haven't personally t her, but so of the oldest mbers of our race have seen her and morized her aura, describing it as sothing incredibly dark, capable of absorbing all light. So when I saw sothing similar around the man's body, I imdiately assud you had sothing to do with her."

"Is it still around now?"

The wolf girl shook her head.

"No, you look just like a normal human being now."

Hoping to get a reasonable explanation from his system, which was his main connection to the Goddess of Darkness, Rain turned to her.

'Nari, do you know sothing about this?'
