Chapter 12: Chapter 12 Let’s talk

Upon hearing the noise, Susan went upstairs and opened the door. When she saw the ssy room, she quickly closed the door.

“Sweetheart, what are you doing? Don’t you know that your father is still angry? If you keep making trouble, he will be unhappy.” she said.

Kailey glared at her and asked, “Why? I am already back! Why are you still keeping her in the Morris family? Why would Dad hit

for her?”

“Didn’t I tell you before? She has the inheritance left by your grandfather, and we need to get that inheritance. Your father only disciplined you because he had no choice. You should be understanding.” Susan tried to comfort her.

However, Kailey couldn’t calm down at the mont.

“Be understanding? How I am supposed to be understanding when my biological hit father hit

for an adopted daughter. My own grandpa drove

out of the Morris family, made her the heiress and gave her his inheritance!”

The more Kailey spoke, the angrier she beca.

Susan was also puzzled by Sir Morris’s actions. No one knows why he does this.

“Renea made

embarrass myself in front of everyone today. I will make her pay back a hundredfold,” Kailey said fiercely with a malicious expression.

Susan patted Kailey on the shoulder and consoled her. “Don’t worry, I won’t let this ungrateful brat off easily.”

She never expected that Renea, who used to be submissive and obedient, would suddenly turn against them.

She was determined to get rid of Renea because she believed leaving her around would only lead to endless troubles.

The river Town was the most chaotic and poorest place in Z city.

The old residential area was dilapidated, with the trash scattered everywhere. An intense foul sll even filled the air.

Renea covered her nose as she frowned.

She found the house where Kailey used to live by relying on her mory. However, the door was tightly locked.

Renea knocked on the door, but no one answered.

“There is no one living here. Who are you looking for?”

When Renea turned around, she saw a woman standing behind her with slightly narrowed eyes.

“Oliver Pires!”

Due to having leverage over Kailey, Renea rembered this woman tried to extort Kailey. However, she ended up being outwitted and sent to prison by Kailey. Eventually, she was tortured to death in prison.

How ironic! I didn’t look for her, yet she found her way to ,” Renea thought to herself.

Oliver approached Renea and looked her up and down. Then she asked, “Are you here to look for Kailey?”

“Yes!” Renea replied.

Oliver sneered and said, “You are late. Her parents have taken her back to enjoy a good life.”

“What about her foster parents?” Renea asked.

“What fosters parents? They are just servants catering to her every need. I really don’t understand the mindset of rich people nowadays. They have beautiful mansions but choose to live in these rundown houses to experience life?”

At the ntion of wealthy people, Oliver spoke with hostility toward them.

“How do you know they are her servants but not her foster parents?” Renea asked with a squint.

“That’s what she told . Her mother and brother would visit her every week and buy her many expensive things. She always likes to flaunt it in front of .”

Renea imdiately understood everything.

So, it turned out that Susana and Dylan used to co here every week to et Kailey.

“Let’s have a talk,” Renea said.

Oliver rolled her eyes at Renea and said, “What do we have to talk about?”

“We will talk about whatever you want to express and whatever I want to know.” Renea said as she handed a stack of money to Oliver.

When Oliver saw the thick stack of one-hundred-dollar bills, her eyes lit up. It was her first ti seeing so much money.

“I will tell you everything you want to know. There is nothing about Kailey that I don’t know.”

Hearing this Renea smiled faintly.
