“Okay,” Li Muchen’s fingers brushed the phone’s mic, his voice deep, “I promise you, I will co back.”
After hanging up, Li Muchen looked at the address shown in the inbox.
His expression instantly sharpened as he lifted his eyes to the people in the room who were waiting for orders.

Suli, an abandoned bar.
In the perpetual darkness of the basent, every corner reeked of age and decay, and all the cabinets were worn out.
Each piece of furniture and the floor was covered with a thick layer of dust; walking past stirred up a cloud of dust, choking anyone passing by.
A burly man with a buzz cut slamd the door shut, carrying a plate with a al and an iron spoon for grinding dicine as he walked out of the room.
“I say boss, how much longer do we have to hide in this godforsaken place?” The man, evidently impatient, looked on, “We have been hiding here for four days already, isn’t the ferry to China arranged yet?”
“I’m not even worried yet, what’s your rush?” The man known as the boss, with a long scar from his forehead to the corner of his right eye, stared at his phone, replying without even lifting his eyes.
“Do you not know that several groups are searching the entire city for us outside?”
“Besides, I’ve told you to watch an old lady with dentia. Feeding her rice gruel and sleeping powder isn’t exactly strenuous work.”
“Just do your job well, quit your useless chatter.”
Seeing the boss’s response, the man had nothing more to say, muttering a few words before going off to find sothing to eat.
There was another bald man in the room, sorting through a box full of guns in the corner.
However, a few minutes hadn’t passed before the Scarface boss’s phone suddenly vibrated.
The man instantly perked up, quickly answering the call.
“Mr. Li?” Scarface’s tone instantly turned sowhat respectful, “This is Dao Liu, have you called because everything is arranged?”
A man’s voice ca from the other end, slightly condescendingly asking, “Your tracks haven’t been discovered, right? How is the old lady doing now?”
“Rest assured, Mr. Li, apart from you, no one else would find their way to this bar we’re hiding in. Even if they did co, they wouldn’t know there’s a basent here.”
“And about the old lady, there’s even less for you to worry about. She’s eating well, sleeping well with us. When the ti cos, we hand over the person and receive the money directly; you’ll check in person.”
The man on the phone responded noncommittally, then said, “Listen, in forty minutes, a black SUV will stop in front of the bar.”
